My daughter wrote her mum a song

8yr old daughters been playing about with her keyboard with her door shut a lot lately. She said she’s working on a song for someone. We found a book hidden under her pillow with her lyrics in it.

My wife cried such happy tears. Now the wait for her performance!

Someone cracked an egg on my car

Finished a long shift in work to find someone decided it would be great if my car got some extra protein.

Pulled on the drive after getting one tyre repaired, hear a loud hiss, found a lump of metal sticking through another one!!

Give up, time for a beer yet?!

North East UK

Remember seeing this years ago and spending most of a weekend pulling from my parents garden. Over for drinks today and see it creeping through the fence from next door again. Me and dad are wondering what this is

What’s the worst thing you have seen/got detention at school for?

Asking as my 13yr old has just received one for doing his homework in 8minutes and not the allocated 15minutes.

Simple question - select the correct answer homework. Needless to say I’m currently arguing against it and will be collecting him at his normal home time!

Edit for update - spoke to the head of his year who agreed unjust detention and said he didn’t have to do it.
To clarify the detention. His language homework was “what does this word mean in Spanish” and he had to select 1 out of 5 options, move to the next one. 10 questions in the school app. This times when you go in and when you hit submit.

Mine - my daughter had rugby presentation yesterday and her coaches words “she has an amazing, bright future ahead in this spot”

Proud as fuck! What’s everyone else’s bright spots?
