Joan Collins loves to roll about on any warm concrete in the sun

Each piece is handmade from start to finish, from shaping the wooden parts to painting the small feather details by hand.

The wings are made as separate pieces so they can move gently with air or when pulled, instead of staying flat. The painting takes a few layers, starting with the base colors and then building up the smaller details that give each bird its own character.

They are decorative pieces, but my favorite part is seeing them come to life when the wings start moving.

We’ve made a few other creatures like dragons, other birds, and even a whale 😊

Just been to the local garden centre and they have a massive display there. My mum said she would buy one for my birthday (she likes to physically buy an item and not order it online) and I’m wondering if anyone wants to recommend any in particular?

Menopause and other things have got in the way but I’m down about 5 stone which is very good. It’s a long game for me which is making the habits stick.

We met almost 35 years ago and are still going strong. 2 kids, 2 cats, one massive mortgage!

Wiring was tricky, husband did it so wires are visible. Will try to tidy those away. I commend myself on getting it done cos some of the builds are so fiddly!
