I literally have the worst luck ever.

I literally have the worst luck ever.

Over the course of June, I had been collecting Nook Miles Tickets so I could go villager hunting whenever my next islander moved. After 20+ days, I finally had a resident tell me they wanted to move, Poncho, and by then, I had accumulated 47 Nook Miles Tickets.

The next day, before I began my hunt, I decided to purchase an additional three tickets for a grand total of 50. There were seven specific villagers who I was looking for (whom I plan to replace my current residents with, excluding Bob, Cherry, and Marina), and while I knew there was a possibility of me not finding any of them, I still felt pretty confident with 50 tickets at my disposal, and if luck was on my side, then I might've been able to find one of the seven I was looking for and STILL have a few tickets left over to use for my next hunt.

Well, needless to say, I REALLY wish I didn't get my hopes up, because I ended up blowing all 50 tickets I had and didn't find ANY of the villagers I was looking for. In fact, I ended up finding Tank, Eloise, and Marcie twice in one hunt, so all those extra three tickets got me were a bunch of duplicates. I was pretty distraught, but for the next couple of days, I continued my hunt, because I really didn't want to let this opportunity go to waste after waiting nearly a whole month for it. But unfortunately, my luck didn't get any better, cause I must have purchased thirty something more tickets after my initial hunt, and still couldn't find who I was looking for.

The craziest thing is that this chart might not even be fully accurate. I kind of lost track of the villagers I had encountered cause of burnout, and I'm certain there's at least a few villagers I forgot to list. I know none of them were Maple, Marshal, Petri, Raymond, Sasha, Shino, or Whitney though, otherwise, I wouldn't have made this post. I should probably also clarify that I never actually encountered Goose on a Mystery Tour, but he did show up to my campsite on the day of my initial hunt, so I did have the opportunity to move him in all the same.

It's now been three days since Poncho moved out, and I figure his lot must have been purchased by now. I'm sure some of you think I'm crazy for passing up on fan favorites like Rosie, Sterling, Lucky, Pashmina, Sherb, Ketchup, etc. But I know who my people are, and I'd rather gamble away every last Nook Miles Ticket in my inventory for them rather than settle for villagers on my shortlist who I'll eventually just let move out anyway.

I'm not sure if this is a hot take or not, but I still consider Aubrey to be Oliwia's only true friend.

Out of everyone in this season, Aubrey was the only person who genuinely liked and respected Oliwia and treated her like an equal. She was literally everything Oliwia was looking for: someone who liked her for her and didn't want to use her solely as a number in the game, which is precisely what both Finn and Ren did (and yes, I know that unlike Finn, Ren didn't have malicious intent, but no part of me believes he saved her because he wanted to become close with her and not because he wanted her vote).

Sure, you could argue that if Oliwia's zodiac sign was different, their relationship probably wouldn't have ended up being as good as it was, but I still love that Aubrey wasn't put-off by Oliwia and was willing to approach her about becoming friends, whereas everyone else mostly ignores her or treats her like she's weird.

So... anyone have any theories as to why the girl in the red shirt who doesn't even go to North Shore High feels victimized by Regina George?

This is probably the hottest take anyone Disventure Camp fan has ever shared, and I'm 100% genuine about it.

I'm just gonna say it, the beta version of Disventure Camp Season 1 was by far the best season of the show.

The reason I think the season works so well is because unlike pretty much every season after it, including the beta version of Season 2, there's no needless melodrama, the boot order isn't pathetically predictable from the first episode, and the characters aren't completely insufferable.

To elaborate on each of my aforementioned points, I respect that the beta version of Season 1 doesn't take itself too seriously. Any drama the season DOES contain is secondary to the comedy, which, as a Total Drama fan season, I think makes sense. Also, the fact that the characters' worst traits aren't being amplified to make them more "complex" makes them a lot more likable. I have a laundry list of things I hate about Jake, Tom, Ashley, Gabby, and Ellie in the season's remake, but I don't really have any complaints about any of them in the original. And the boot order might be the only boot order in DC that I think works. It doesn't feel like any of the characters are being dragged to the end because of blatant favoritism. That much is clear when Gabby of all characters was the third boot, while Nick made it all the way to final four.

I was bored, so I made a chart of all the villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons who share their name with one or more Survivor contestants.

From left to right, top to bottom: Ace, Aurora, Becky, Bianca, Bill, Billy, Bob, Bruce, Butch, Caroline, Chelsea, Chrissy, Clay, Coach, Cole, Colton, Deena, Erik, Frank, Jacob, Jay, Jeremiah, Julia, Ken, Kevin, Kyle, Marty, Molly, Nate, Rodney, Rory, Rudy, Sally, Sandy, Savannah, Sydney, Sylvia, Tammy, Tasha, Tiffany, Tom, Victoria, Wendy, Whitney, and Zoe.

And as a bonus, all the villagers who share their name with a Survivor contestant, but spell theirs differently: Alli (Allie), Bea (Bi), Elise (Elyse), Ellie (Elie), Gabi (Gabby), Katt (Kat), Kody (Cody), Maddie (Maddy), Merry (Mary), Ozzie (Ozzy), Rizzo (Rizo), and Tammi (Tammy).

My thoughts on Boxing Daria.

For me, the strongest aspect of this episode is how realistically it portrays childhood trauma. In particular, how a traumatic experience for a child can seem insignificant to any adults who were involved at the time.

For Daria, the time her family had that moving box was important to her, because it brought her ease and comfort after overhearing her parents get into a heated argument in which her name was brought up in. This was a core memory for Daria, and likely influenced her development as she got older, but for Jake and Helen, this was just another stressful period in their adult lives that they would eventually move on from and forget about in time.

That's not to say Jake and Helen are bad parents for not remembering the fight they had. After all, it was years ago, and they couldn't have even known if Daria had overheard them or not. Heck, I can't help but feel sympathy for Helen, since Daria kept giving her a hard time over an incident she genuinely couldn't recall (although Jake definitely seemed to remember the incident more clearly, and I got to give him a little bit more pushback for not acknowledging it right away when Daria confronts him and Helen about it).

I need advice on how to make my island look aesthetically pleasing.

I always feel envious when I see how beautiful other players' islands are. Most of the islands I've seen have this suburban-like atmosphere, with paths, sidewalks, parks, etc. while mine is just the same chunk of land with houses and trees scattered everywhere that I started out with back in 2021.

Tom even said my island got 1/5 stars in terms of image, which I thought was very much deserved, cause it's hideous. I literally have no idea how to make it looks nice.

If anyone can give me advice on what I can do to make my island more visually appealing, I'd appreciate it. Even something relatively minor would help, like how to terraform land, make sidewalks, etc. A little goes a long way.

During Eva's execution, we see new sprites of the characters' reactions, most of which depict them in tears, including Grace and Kai, despite neither being overly fond of her.

However, Cassidy I believe is the only one among the group who isn't crying, and that always stood out to me, as I found it odd that one of the more openly expressive and emotional characters in the group wouldn't be more affected at what they had just witnessed.

On top of that, outside of Damon and Diana, Cassidy was arguably the closest to Eva, as they spent a lot of time together setting up the game tournament with Mark and Jett, and they bonded over their mutual love of Sublime Slam Sisters.

Knowing now that she was the one behind everything, I can only wonder if her underwhelming reaction in this scene was intentional, as she was the one who planned it.

I mean, the fact that everyone else in the audience was wearing Saja Boys merchandise while these three were still wearing their Rumi shirts (and I'm assuming they didn't bring multiple shirts to switch out of like that one dude) proves beyond doubt that they're her most devoted fans. No Huntrix breakup, Saja Boys hype, or even demonic hypnosis can shake their love for her, and I respect that.
