Rockstar have been making some of the best games in the world for nearly three decades. Almost every game they’ve released has not only sold exceptionally well, but has been a genuine masterpiece that pushed the boundaries of what games could be.

So why is everyone suddenly doubting them now, with their biggest game yet?

They’ve been working on this for roughly 13 years, have nearly 6,000 people across their studios working on it, an apparent £2 billion budget, and some of the best technology in the industry. Many of the people making it have also been around for Rockstar’s biggest games.

There is genuinely no reason to be this doubtful.
The fact they’re even marketing the game on Netflix should tell you that this is an event. This game is going to blow our minds, and it should be EXCITING.

Don’t let the constant doom and gloom mob ruin what should be one of the most exciting moments in gaming. Some people genuinely seem to want this game to fail before they’ve even played it, and most of these people are probably kids who haven’t been around for most Rockstar games.

It’s going to be good folks, and we’re right around the corner. Enjoy. This. Moment.

I remember months ago there were rumours that Magneto and Professor X were going to die, along with lots of the X-Men, at the start of Doomsday.

Based off recent leaks like the alleged leaked image above (which has apparently been up scaled by AI to avoid copyright), do you think Magneto and Professor X will be in the entire movie?

I would personally find it cheap if they just got killed off straight away, they need to be in at least the full movie

Prologue

The game opens with a high-stakes robbery in Liberty City, mirroring the explosive opening of Grand Theft Auto V. Jason and Lucia, partners in both crime and life, attempt one final score before disappearing for good. The heist quickly unravels when the police arrive in overwhelming numbers.

Jason manages to escape the scene, but Lucia is arrested and sentenced to prison. With the authorities now hunting him, Jason flees south to Leonida, determined to disappear until the heat dies down.

Chapter 1 - A Second Chance

Ten years later, Lucia is nearing the end of her prison sentence.

Players begin the game controlling Lucia inside prison, where everyday routines introduce the core gameplay mechanics. Working out, prison jobs, fights with inmates and interactions with guards gradually teach the player combat, movement and stamina systems while also showing how prison has hardened Lucia over the past decade.

Meanwhile, Jason has built a quiet life in the Leonida Keys. Living under the protection of Brian Heder, Jason works alongside Brian and Hal Campton, transporting weapons and running small smuggling operations in exchange for untraceable accommodation and a place to stay off the authorities' radar.

Although Jason has survived, he has never truly moved on from Lucia.

Upon her release, Lucia walks out of prison wearing an ankle monitor and reunites with Jason for the first time in ten years.

Together, they decide they deserve another chance at life, but this time, they'll make enough money that they'll never have to look back.

Chapter 2 - Back in Business

Jason and Lucia rent a modest house in Hamlet, using it as a temporary base while they rebuild their criminal empire.

Players are fully introduced to Leonida and Vice City as Jason and Lucia begin taking on small robberies, home invasions, store hold-ups and local jobs across the state. Their confidence grows with every successful score, and before long, their names begin circulating throughout Vice City's criminal underworld.

Their rise attracts the attention of several influential figures.

Boobie Ike recruits them for increasingly dangerous jobs around Vice City, while Dre'Quan Priest offers opportunities connected to the city's music scene. Through him, Jason and Lucia become acquainted with the rap duo Real Dimez, whose growing popularity provides unexpected opportunities for money laundering and criminal connections.

What begins as small-time hustling slowly evolves into something much bigger.

Chapter 3 - The Big Leagues

Jason and Lucia's reputation eventually reaches Raul Menendez, a legendary bank robber responsible for some of Leonida's most daring heists.

Recognising their talent, Raul offers them a partnership.
Under Raul's guidance, the trio pull off a series of increasingly ambitious big scale robberies across Leonida, earning millions of dollars while staying one step ahead of law enforcement.

For the first time in years, Jason and Lucia experience the life they always dreamed of.

Luxury cars fill their garage.

A lavish mansion in Starfish Island overlooking Vice City becomes their new home.

Their nights are spent at exclusive clubs, yacht parties and penthouse celebrations.

It finally feels like they've beaten the system.

But success brings attention.

And attention brings consequences.

Chapter 4 - Everything Falls Apart

Law enforcement soon discovers that Lucia Caminos has returned to organised crime.

A statewide investigation begins, with detectives quietly building a case against Jason, Lucia and everyone connected to them.

Brian's operation in The Keys is eventually raided.

Realising the police are closing in, Brian orders Jason and Hal to disappear before they're arrested as well.
While attempting to escape, Jason is intercepted by investigators.

Instead of sending him to prison, they offer him a deal.

Work undercover.

Help bring Lucia down.

Or spend the rest of his life behind bars.

With no other option, and believing he can secretly protect Lucia while misleading the authorities, Jason reluctantly agrees.

Knowing Vice City is no longer safe, Jason and Lucia retreat to Port Gellhorn, hoping the forgotten city will allow them to disappear while planning their next move.

Chapter 5 - One Last Score

While hiding in Port Gellhorn, Jason and Lucia are approached by Raul one final time.

He reveals the opportunity of a lifetime.

The largest bank in Vice City.

One robbery.

Enough money to disappear forever.

Lucia believes this is the answer to everything.

After this score, they can leave Leonida behind, move somewhere in South America and finally escape the cycle of crime.

Jason has doubts but ultimately agrees.

The robbery begins perfectly.

The crew break into the bank, secure the money and prepare their escape.

Then everything goes wrong.

Police units flood the streets.

Someone tipped them off.

During the chaos, Raul is captured.

As Jason and Lucia attempt to escape, the Police Chief calls Jason by name, revealing in front of Lucia that Jason has been secretly working with law enforcement.

Believing Jason has betrayed her, Lucia flees with her share of the money.

Jason stays behind to cover her escape and is arrested.

The partners who once trusted each other more than anyone are now completely divided.

Chapter 6 - Broken Trust

With Raul in custody and Lucia missing, Jason is forced to continue working alongside the police as they hunt for Leonida's most wanted criminal.

Meanwhile, Raul begins cooperating with investigators, revealing the identities of everyone connected to their criminal empire.

One by one, former allies begin falling.

Boobie Ike.

Dre'Quan.

Other associates across Vice City.

Depending on the player's choices, Jason can either help law enforcement arrest them or secretly warn them, allowing them time to disappear before the police arrive and pinch them.

Desperate to find Lucia before the authorities do, Jason contacts Hal, who is also in hiding.

Using his extensive surveillance network and knowledge of government communications, Hal discovers Lucia's location.

She has disappeared into the forests surrounding Mount Kalaga, hiding alone inside an isolated cabin with the remaining money from the robbery, away from the prying eyes of the government.

Jason races there.

Unfortunately, he isn't the only one.

The Police Chief arrives first with a tactical unit.

A violent shootout erupts through the woods before Lucia and the Police Chief engage in a brutal hand-to-hand fight outside the cabin.

Jason finally arrives and points his gun at both of them.

For a brief moment, time stands still.

The player must choose.

Kill Lucia.

Or kill the Police Chief.

If Jason chooses Lucia, the story ends in tragedy.

If Jason chooses the Police Chief, Jason saves Lucia, finally proving that despite everything that happened, he never betrayed her willingly.

The two reconcile, knowing they have one final task left before they can truly disappear.

Epilogue

Jason and Lucia launch one final assault on Vice City's Police Headquarters.

Their objective is simple.

Silence Raul Menendez and kill him before he can testify.

Depending on earlier player choices, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan and other imprisoned allies can also be rescued during the assault.

With Raul dead, the investigation collapses.

The remaining witnesses disappear.

The case against Jason and Lucia falls apart.

Having survived Liberty City, prison, betrayal, corruption and one final war against the authorities, Jason and Lucia leave Vice City behind.

For the first time in their lives, they aren't chasing another score.

They simply drive into the Leonida sunset together, free at last, with nothing left to prove except that they kept the one promise that mattered most:
No matter what happened, they never stopped fighting for each other.
