Hayley has a brother?

Hayley has a brother?

I saw this YouTube short (don't judge me they put cool clips on there) and Hayley mentions having a brother. I know she has two younger half-sisters but the lyric "eldest daughter" means first born daughter, which could imply she has a brother.

But when I google her brother, nothing comes up at all. This seems so parasocial my bad, but does she have a brother?

Alzheimer's & Infections

My father (69) is in the process of getting diagnosed formally with Alzheimer's. He is at best moderate, but seemingly more towards a severe stage.

He has confirmed several tooth infections, but I worry he may have lung and bladder/kidney infections since he is having quite a bit of difficulty chewing (teeth/brain issues) and swallowing, as well as very frequent urination.

For about the past week, maybe a bit longer, he has been experiencing delirium. I told my mom it is likely due to an infection because even a healthy brain can get delirious from infection(s). He is much more agitated, having extreme anxiety/panic, heightened sweating, extreme confusion (bent down to pick something up and forgot midway what he was doing). It's like overnight his brain went from someone who is maybe 13-16, to someone who is about 5-7, just to give you guys an idea.

Urgent care prescribed him an antibiotic mouthwash. Because they were not his PCP, they were hesitant to prescribe any anti-anxiety or oral antibiotic, which I understand, and said go to the ER in future instances of this. His brain doctor prescribed a mild dose of Lexapro to address the anxiety.

However, my rant is this. My mother and I never liked his PCP because his PCP would always downplay his symptoms and kept him on heart meds for 15 years (which can accelerate Alzheimer's) even after knowing of his brain symptoms and family's genetic history (Uncle, Dad, and brother all had/have it).

His neurologist seems to be all about $$$ because they're a giant company. His appointments are also spaced about two months apart each, and he has changed dramatically just between the two we've been to so far. When we first met with the neurologist, she seemed hesitant to answer any questions or advice and was very rushed. It took half an afternoon but could've taken up to 48h to get him meds while he was panicking because his doctor was super busy between patients. I can't imagine we were the only patients calling.

His urgent doctor we met was SO sweet and informed us much more about how to handle the situation and printed out a bunch of references for us. She even was going to call both his brain doctor and PCP to inform them of what was happening to ensure they knew what treatment he received from her. She was so kind and informative, telling me even MORE than his neurologist on how to best work with/support him.

I am going to call his dentist today and my mother will be calling his PCP again to ask for antibiotics and inform them of the situation. What scares me is, I know people with dementia can run the risk of never returning to their baseline after experiencing delirium because their brain doesn't "bounce back" the same as a healthy person's. Worst case scenario, I will be forcing him to go to the ER, since they may be able to catch infections outside of the teeth too.

I guess the point of this was to just rant and see if any of your loved ones have experienced delirium while going through this horrific disease.

Thank you. Sending love to all of you.

Aaron....the audacity you have

The audacity you have to tell THIS goddess that she isn't fit enough and you're worried about what she's going to look like in 10 years when YOU look like this.

What's your favorite physical bit from The Office?

Mine is when Gabe is crying to Andy in the conference room and then walks out pretending he hasn't been with the most jovial smile/walk. Has to only be a two-second clip but my favorite physical bit from the entire show. Zach Woods is a true gift.

Getting a leucistic ball python!!!

My absolute dream snake is a leucistic monocle cobra, but I am not a venomous keeper and don't plan to be for a long time. Even once I do keep venomous snakes, I definitely will not be getting a cobra. As cool as they are, they're out of my comfortability.

However, a trusted friend who breeds has a leucistic baby ball python available and I'm getting her!!! I'm so excited. I love BPs and an all white snake is just awesome.

I am going to name her Cocaine lololol.

Katie is the worst.

I'm on probably my 10th or so rewatch, and I genuinely think Katie may be the worst one out of the female cast. Obviously, Jax/James/Sandoval are much worse than her.

She just is truly so mean. I'm currently rewatching S5 and before the wedding, multiple times she has rage texted or yelled to Schwartz about hating him, wanting to call off the wedding, wanting to give the ring back, wanting him to pack his stuff, etc. She blames it on blacking out and flies off the handle at Schwartz asking if there was some truth to what she says. To me, it seems pretty hard to rage text for hours on end while blacked out. She also flew off the handle when he shared he had been to a therapy session. No good partner will react to you going to therapy like that. If Schwartz had told her before going, I'm sure she truly would've poisoned the well or shamed him into not going.

Okay, so she goes on these tirades about not wanting to marry him and wanting to break up etc., and although she's 'blacked out', she's not saying it in a joking tone. Then she absolutely flips when Schwartz jokes about how if they don't have the wedding they could afford a Porsche. She calls him mean, cruel, and all these other things when he was very clearly joking. I understand jokes can be malicious and mean, but this didn't seem to be the case here. She flips out so much to the point she starts to body shame him while in the same breath asking for forgiveness and forgetting about her own behavior. It's so hypocritical. Schwartz made a joke that didn't land and she calls him cruel for it, meanwhile explains away her hours long tirades of saying much more heinous shit with the intention to hurt and cause pain.

Then later in the season when her, Lala, Scheana, and Ariana are having that roundtable, after Scheana expresses she cares about Katie's feelings first and foremost regarding the Lala situation, Katie waves her off and say don't worry about me, this isn't about me. Girl, you literally chastised Scheana and questioned your friendship with her when Scheana had a simple work conversation with Lala???? So don't say, "This isn't about me." Then Scheana simply apologizes for anything that she said that was untrue and Katie FLIPS out on her and rage texts her, bringing Stassi in on it. Then later blames Scheana for her problems with Lala. Katie constantly victimizes herself while being horrible to her friends and her partner. Yes, Lala said horrible things to and about Katie, but Katie also said horrible things to and about her and to be real, she was nasty first to Lala.

After rewatching so many times, Katie is the worst of the women on the cast to me. I think her and Schwartz were both awful to each other and should've broken up long before the show. Schwartz sucked many times, but Katie was definitely not innocent. No normal person goes into a two hour rage text marathon when their partner takes the first class upgrade on a flight. My god. Her blaming Ariana/Sandoval for her and Schwart'z relationship issues was insane.

She avoids accountability like the plague and seems to avoid therapy and inner work. Hence why it's 2026 and she's dating a serial cheater who creeped on minors and posted that nasty tweet body shaming a Love Island contestant. Just a few years ago she slept with a man who had dated and caused a lot of trauma to one of her best friends, right after chastising Raquel for doing the same thing. I just can't stand her.

Almost to the final diagnosis - vascular dementia + artery issues

Hi y'all. Just wanted a place to say it seems like my dad's (69y) MRI showed likely vascular dementia, but his neurologist also suspects early-onset. It seems like he has a co-mobordity with Intracranial Atherosclerosis Disease (ICAD).

He's been on cholesterol and blood pressure meds for 15 years, maybe more, and I can't believe his PCP didn't seem to catch or suspect ICAD because my dad has had very clear symptoms for a long time: trouble speaking, confusion, numb limbs, randomized intense headaches, etc. His PCP gave him blood tests but I don't think he ever checked his arteries specifically.

The MRI also revealed tortuosity of his distal vertebral arteries and the basilar artery, which could explain his sudden poor posture amongst other issues.

The main flags that this is vascular dementia was moderate cortical atrophy and chronic ischemic change.

Thank you for reading.

Green OBT?

Hello! I received a green color-wave OBT from Spider Shoppe a few months ago. I remember it being described as something like "munuki" or something similar.

For the life of me, I can't find the latin name for this species. I remember the website describing it as the green color-wave of the OBT and roughly its cousin (?), but it is a baboon.

It's olive green and dark brown with a similar temperament and behavior to an OBT. Does anyone know what tf it's called lol? Truly cool spider!

Doctors want to give father Xanax before MRI?

My father (68 almost 69) is in the process of being diagnosed with early onset dementia. We've noticed symptoms for nearly a decade, but he finally just agreed to the testing. (My mother and I suspect he's in the late stages already).

The doctors want to do an MRI first to rule out a stroke. My dad said he gets claustrophobic (which he has never said before) so the doctors want to give him three Xanax before his MRI. I feel like this is kind of negligible knowing the effects of Xanax on people with Alzheimer's. Yes, most of those effects are after long term use, but I also know benzos can trigger "permanent trips" and really fuck up even the most typical brains. I really work it's going to accelerate him or cause him to do something that has reprecussions.

Am I wrong? Does anyone have any insight?

Thank you!

Home Ownership/House Sale Battle?

My dad (69) is in the process of getting formally diagnosed with (early onset) Alzheimer's after years of my mom begging him to get tested and seek help.

He still thinks my mom and I are crazy and too hard on him, unable to see the hardship and battles he inflicts on us. He has gotten us into financial issues, given away his SSN on the phone to a scammer, is a nervous driver, and has major emotional instability. He says he'll sign his power of attorney away to his brother (my uncle), but doesn't seem in any rush to do so.

Him and my mother own our house 50/50 and I've beginning to get scared about what home ownership/home sale battle may come with his mental state. What is the ownership/possible sale of the house going to look like for my mom if he never signs over power of attorney to his anyone but then becomes too mentally incompetent to sign the necessary contracts to either sign over his half of the house to my mother, or sign the contracts for the sale of the house? If he does sign it to him, is his brother going to come after half the house's value/try and stop the sale (he has money issues and always been a dick)?

I'm very nervous about what legal battles may come.

Any insight would be super appreciated.
