Currently doing my first Cisco course and wanted some tips?

I'm currently doing the Cisco CyberOps Associate course. I got it for free from my uni, and while I'm actually studying compsci and not cyber security they still said it would be useful to do.

However, I'm finding it hard to focus and take in all the info and with it being my first Cisco course I wasn't sure how important it is that I learn everything. Is it fine to skip over a lab if I'm not understanding it, and should I make comprehensive notes for every topic and module?

There are 28 modules in total, and I was hoping to get this done in the next 2 months, do you think that would be possible?

Thanks for any advice you can give! Especially if you've done this course before, that would be great!

Sign up to Whatnot with my code and receive £10-£200 in credit

If you use a referral code to sign up to Whatnot then you can get a random reward between £10 - £200 in free credit

Credit does not count towards shipping cost, typical shipping cost is ~£3.50

All you need to do to qualify is:

- Open the referral link

- Create a Whatnot account

- Verify your phone number

You will then receive the credit to use on any purchases in the app

It does not take long!

Info about Whatnot:

Whatnot is a live-stream shopping platform and digital marketplace where users buy and sell items through real-time video auctions

Basically the site focuses on live streamed auctions, with a regular online market place as well for some sellers similar to eBay

You can find some nice stuff on there. I got a heavy duty fan because of the heatwave for only £6 so pretty good! But you can buy pretty much anything: good, clothes, rare coins, tech, etc...

Tide £100 offer when signing up with referral

If you use a referral code to sign up to Tide you can get a £100 reward.

For UK residents only as far as I'm aware

Tide is a business bank account, but I signed up as a solo trader and everything worked out so you don't really need a business.

They do require a £500 spend within 90 days before you receive the reward, but you don't actually need that much! I topped up my Revolut card a couple times using the Tide card, and just reused the same money each time. You do pay a \~£5 fee in total if you do it through Revolut, but it's not much compared to the £100 and maybe there is another way to pay no fee.

It took me 3 days to receive the award once I had made the payments, so it does come in quite quickly.

Just sign up using my referral link: https://api.tide.co/su/yNw8ev

Or use code 7E98QP when you sign up.

Let me know if you've got any questions!

Any tips on how I can improve the taste of my simple beans and rice recipe?

My current recipe is very simple:

Rice

Red lentils

Black beans

I season with salt, cumin, chilli powder, and onion powder

My issue is that I just never look forward to or enjoy eating it because it tastes kinda bland. Like it's not gross, but it isn't something I really like.

What can I add or change to make it better? Ive read some suggestions online, but none have really been super budget friendly, so is there something cheap that would be useful here?

Thanks 😁

Where can I find a good quality adapter for USBC/headphone jack online? Can't seem to find a working one

I need an adapter that can allow for usb c headphones to be plugged into a headphone jack hole. All the ones on Amazon or other websites are either the other way around, or don't work.

Not sure this is the right sub, please direct me to the correct one if I'm in the wrong place

Use my Revolut code and I'll send you half the reward!

Use my referral code and I will receive a random award between £10 and £200. I will send you half of whatever I get! Ends June 2nd so very soon!

The 3 £5 purchases can be done on Amazon to order 3 e-giftcards for yourself if you don't want to spend the money right away. I'm sure other gift card worked that's just what I did

I would like £1000-£2000 over the next few months

So far I'm doing Prolific and some GPT sites like Free cash. Also a couple sign up offers for some websites, though not many so far.

I also completed a lot of sign up offers for betting websites, although I stopped when it started getting into ACCA bets and bet builders as I found it confusing.

I can't do bank switch offers cause I don't have enough starting capital for those, though I could do sign up offers but the only problem would be that it means I couldn't do switch offers in the future right?

What else could I be doing to get some money? Am I missing some huge earnings somewhere, like with the matched betting. Or is my best bet to try continue with what I'm doing and maybe try to figure out the acca and bet builders matched bets?

This money isn't necessary, just would help with holding funding around August

Thanks for any help and sorry if maybe I missed something obvious

There should be some nice rewards for 100%ing the game

I've been loving this game so far, and I've never even played fighting games like this before, but I wish there were some nicer free skins instead of them mostly being recolours. I understand they need to make money but if you put in the effort to get 100% then you should get at least a cool skin to show off, like I love the collectors edition skin of marks OG suit so something like that would be cool.

Hoping that they will add more free suits, maybe when they expand the story or something.

My family has been involved with social workers for a while now, I won't get into the whole situation but there were some court hearings that happened where the social workers presented evidence to determine if my younger siblings should be placed into care.

Now, my issue is that some of this evidence was made up/not true. There were a few quotes from me that were very negative towards my parents and accusing them of fairly serious crimes. My parents did some bad stuff, but these specific things were just not true. What I think happened was one social worker did an audio recording of one of our meetings, and then because it was a couple hours long just used AI to summarise it and that caused the mistakes. This was something I recently heard about starting to happen more often, and I can't think of any other reason.

This has really contributed to damaging the relationship between me and some of my younger siblings, maybe older siblings as well. They think that I purposely lied to social workers about this stuff. I did testify that it wasn't true, and I tried to clear up the errors but it didn't help convince them much.

This was many months ago now, but I was wondering what the laws were around this. Is there some sort of defamation or something that happened here considering it has had a large negative impact on my relationship? Would there even be any benefit to this?

This is in England.
