I can’t sleep. What is the absolute weirdest song you can think of? I’ll rate it on a scale from 1-10 and also tell you if I think it’s weird or not. (Pic of Godiva the cat unrelated)

I just found 18 coconut cups still in the box lol

I guess someone cancelled a luau. I will make a frozen beverage and listen to the beach boys, Harry Nilsson, and jimmy buffet. I have no clue how to store all of these so I might give some away as gift card holders for friends with summer birthdays or something like that. I’m just laughing at this find lol

Help with dealing with someone as a cameo creator

Hi all—
I play a niche role in a Netflix show and a request I just got is clearly an AD but they didn’t pay for it through the business request option. It’s for AI and I feel weird about it and don’t know what to do. I’d be making 10x what they’re trying to pay for if I did the minimum for “business” that cameo allows. Can anyone weigh in? I genuinely thought they were talking about a coworker named AL like weird Al but my friend caught it and he’s right. I might just do the whole thing as”AL” because I’m a comedian but ahhhhh what do I do??? Does anyone know lol thanks in advance. Edit to add that I don’t want to endorse an AI brand for $14 or really ever.

I need advice on how to speak about the death of Lilo from Lilo and Stitch’s voice actress Daveigh Chase to preschoolers

Hi all, I haven’t posted here before but was hoping a sub existed that might suit this topic. My preschoolers who I teach in arts afterschool in NYC seem to have heard that “Lilo died” from Lilo and Stitch. I have a lot of super fan students who have probably overheard their parents mentioning this. I think the right angle might be to say that Lilo lives forever and that sometimes people get sick but they leave us with characters who we will always have, but I am not a parent and don’t know how to approach loss. I played some of the music from Lilo and Stitch for indoor recess today and we played musical chairs. Most of them have lost a pet before and understand what death is. I am just looking for any advice. Thank you! Edit to add that they don’t know who the actress is and they just think Lilo died.

Possibly late to the party, but these blow new Claussen out of the water IMO, are cheaper, and part of the proceeds support ALS research

Sober from drinking and the muppets really have helped in my recovery so I got this tattoo!

Also got to meet Paul Williams twice who is a sober muppet icon :)

Anyone aware of any short term gigs in Brooklyn or Manhattan? Open to anything. I have to pay for oral surgery and need something in a pinch.

Hi all—
I need oral surgery and might not be able to make rent soon.
I work as a preschool teacher in lower NYC, a caretaker/housekeeper for elders, an actor, and doing odd jobs like cleaning, organizing, and handiwork/repair around apartments.
I’m a 32 year old guy and I most value being personable and making my clients comfortable.

Additionally, I have a lot of experience doing clinical trialing and product testing.

I have years of experience in babysitting and am a certified athletic coach for kids.

I have years of experience in retail and as a Starbucks barista, used to be a gymnastics coach until I moved, and act as a small but recurring role on a popular Netflix comedy.

Let me know if anyone needs help with anything or if they’ve heard of any opportunities. I charge very fair rates because I know the economy is extremely difficult right now.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you!

I am a caretaker/assistant for the elderly and for children! I have an open schedule this summer!

Hi everyone—

My name is Jack and I’m a caretaker for kids and the elderly. I work at a public school as an after school preschool teacher. I also work in the mornings as a caretaker to 3 elderly clients.
-one is a hoarder and I help him keep his stuff from being overwhelming
-one is an elderly woman with disability issues
-one is an elderly man who uses me more like a handyman/personal assistant (I clean for him and hang up artwork for him and paint his walls, go food shopping etc). He also has COPD and AIDS and I help him with medical assistance.

I am very open-minded and could provide references. I charge around $30-$40 an hour depending on the situation. Please comment or DM if you know someone or you’re someone who could use help! I can start whenever because I can work mornings and then my preschool teaching job will be over for the summer break. For long-term, I can always do mornings or nights when the school year resumes.

For babysitting, I am a certified coach as well as an elementary school arts and recreation teacher. I have years of experience with all ages.
Please comment or DM with any inquiries!

Thanks!

Found the most insanely cool, perfectly fitting, handmade in Pakistan jacket on the curb in Brooklyn last night. It seems unworn and it’s reversible!

The orange shirt is a vintage curb find as well. Park Slope, Brooklyn has the best clothing curb finds I’ve ever experienced!

I am very pale and freckly but live in NY and love going to the beach. I work as a preschool teacher and part time actor and am on a budget. Has anyone ever found a sleeper sunscreen that was effective but was under $10? Mostly concerned about face application.
