With coaches on the very near horizon, are we getting multidrop deliveries?

So, one of the things I noticed in the coaches gameplay was it looks like multidrop support exists for passangers

I'd be really curious to know if this means multidrop support for trucks is coming, and if so how far away the rigid release is, since they go hand in hand and the base system seems to be working already

How far away is modding/workshop support

I've been wondering this lately, and I feel like modding would be such a great addition to the game, especially if modders could create different models for engines, transmissions, breeches ect like we're currently getting.

Do you want 0.39 meme posts banned and or limited?

So today, when scrolling on Reddit, every single beamng post has been one of these stupid 0.39 related memes. It's gotten bad enough that I'm tempted to leave the subreddit or mute it just so my feed isn't slop

Opinions on this build I'm planning on? (Prices in AUD)

Only things not included are the hard drives, since I'm just ripping the SSD and m.2 out of my current PC. Should I change our anything else? I'm planning on having the black on white styling with it

Cannon alpha plugin vs byd shark?

Hi everyone. So after my post yesterday, we began discussing the responses and came to the conclusion that DPF is stupid and does nothing beyond fucking up engines. And the old man (aswell as myself) became too worried about faffing with Regens and idling and those sorts of things.

Upon reconsideration, we've decided to look into the PHEV utes, especially since our current car (haval h6 gt phev) is a plugin and we both love them.

So now we're looking at the cannon alpha plugin and the byd shark, most likely the premium version but we might go for the performance version if I can convince him

He's on the side of the gwm, since he prefers the looks of it and prefers the brand itself after our experience with the haval. That and our nearest dealer is around 20 minutes away.

I prefer the byd, since I think the design is nicer and the drivetrain system makes far more sense to me. That and the sales figures are 10x what the gwm is, which I believe is great.

My main issue is the utes are very similar, and while I do think a pure electric drivetrain is more reliable and a much nicer drive than a standard ute with an electric motor bolted to the gearbox.

What are your opinions on both of them?

Gwm cannon versus Isuzu ute?

Hi all, so my old man is considering buying a ute but we're all abit confused on where to go after narrowing it down to these 2

We currently own a haval h6 gt phev which we absolutely love, and the old man would like to stay within the brand, but I'm on the fence about wether to switch to Isuzu

We've narrowed the models down, and are planning on either the

Dmax 4x2 SX single cab chassis 2.2L high ride auto

Or

Cannon premium single CC

Planning on using it to tow a single axle trailer, with mainly tip runs/generally light cargo, and putting soil or gravel in the tray. He's also discussed selling it to me within the next 4-5 years.

Were also considering going with the cannon LUX model, aswell as the ultra/vanta model, depending on what people say

How are these utes generally? I've tried to research but gwm especially doesn't come up with too much, and would like to hear community opinions. Especially considering I'm going to be the primary driver and going from a small lancer sedan to this.

And lastly, is it recommended to step up into the PHEV series in the cannon alpha? Since the higher cannon models and the PHEV aren't all that different in price, and the petrol does make me wonder if it's worth going with compared to the diesel engines dpf issues

Where the hell have all the old cheap cars gone?

My son's turning 21 soon, and he's decently into older American cars.

I thought it'd be amazing to buy one and restore it together, and he's equally keen. We've both got mechanical backgrounds, granted both for trucks but still applicable.

But man where the hell have all the old cheap cars gone? I remember 20 years ago you could get a cheap V8 car for a handful of dollars, now anything in a semi restorable stage they want 20 grand for atleast.

I found a lovely Lincoln Continental for him, would've been the absolute dream to restore but they want 20K+ still.

Even the old rusted fords want 10+K for them. And by rusted I mean fucked and never able to be restored condition.

I would've loved to have spent 5, but at 15-20K I'm better off funding something else for him.

I'm in SEQ for reference.

Where the hell have they all gone?

On a slightly cheerier note, I loved the 1 hour 10 minute length as opposed to the usual 48 minutes

I do Definitely wish we could get 12-20 episodes not 8, but nonetheless the longer format felt so good. I half wondered If Amazon was hinting at doing longer episodes each?

It just felt like there was so much more content in the episode compared to the 48 min ones

Building a PC for the first time

Location: Australia

Budget: without GPU, 1700-1900$

Peripherals supplied already

Use case: Gaming

So, I've been using computers for the better part of a decade and a half, and I'm not a complete stranger to them, but for all intents and purposes I've never built one. I've reseated my GPU and ram in my existing unit heaps of times, but never built a PC.

I'm currently using a system with an i9-9900k, 32gb ddr4 @2400mhz and a 3070. However, one of my ram sticks died and it's not all that different to buy new ddr4 as it is to just buy ddr5 ram here, so I'm planning on just biting the bullet and doing a full system upgrade.

I'm planning on heading down the road with a ryzen 7 9700x (455$)

32gb ddr5 Kingston ram @6000mhz (649$)

360mm Corsair Nautilus AIO (175$)

Gigabyte 750W psu (109$)

Gigabyte B850M MOBO (229$)

And retaining the 3070.

I'm planning on swapping out my current largeish case for a lian Li A3 mATX, likely with the glass side panel.

Where I'm at a crossroads is, do you think this is a good build? The store has a Radeon rx9070xt in-stock for 899-999, aswell as a 5070ti for 1200, but the 5070 puts me way over budget. So Im wondering if I'm worth it upgrading to the Rx card now or just waiting.

One of my larger things is I play alot of Euro truck Sim 2, and with the game having single core performance only, I want to make sure I'm not just sidegrading. That and farming simulator stress my PC alot.

I'm trying to also maintain an all white internals build if possible, but I'm happy to change that if there's enough justification with price.

Anything not mentioned above, re storage, additional fans ect are already purchased/being ported over, since I'm effectively taking 2 of the drives out, leaving 1 and gifting my partner the rest of the pc

Has anyone noticed the sheer influx of bot accounts here and across the other Aussie subs, especially related to the budget?

Just an example I spotted earlier on another subreddit, but I feel like I've noticed it here too lately. Especially reading so many people's replies made blatantly with AI

part time truck driving Jobs/starting owner operator, is it feasible?

Hey all, so with the way the job market is, well it's just impossible ATM for me to find a job in transport.

I'm needing to be part time, but I really don't mind a schedule, it can be 7am-7pm monday then nightshift Tuesday and Saturday nightshift for all I care. My only requirement is it can't be more than 3-4 days a week. That and for it to not be horribly physical, id love fork on fork off work

I'm so desperate to get my foot in the door in the industry atm. I'm literally considering buying a cheap truck and going out on my own to subcontract I'm that desperate. Is that foolish?

I don't know where to go from here
