TLDR because I’m a chronic overexplainer: I’m looking for a bright, fun red- nothing vampy or dark. Cremes or shimmers, no magnetics.

Ok first of all my nails are GOING THROUGH IT right now. I have been keeping press ons on the two shorties, but now the remaining middle finger has problems🥲 it’s held together with a silk nail wrap, and then I got a big blob of glue on the tip that I couldn’t buff flat so I just cut the tip off. I don’t want to try to shape it bc I think that the whole thing just needs to be left alone for a while.

Anyway. I want to add some reds to my collection, but I don’t really know about undertones and cool/warm colors or anything like that, so I usually just buy whatever looks nice in the bottle but then I put it on and it doesn’t look good. It’s been a few years since I tried one, so I unfortunately can’t give any examples of ones that haven’t worked.

I have vitiligo that becomes more pronounced in the summer when I’m spending time in the sun, and it spreads more over time. I’m at the point now where the skin around my nails is pretty much entirely depigmented so that probably adds another layer of “wtf am I even doing?” to my confusion.

I emailed them about my bad experience with my GITD pink bottle, and they were really understanding a refunded me. Awesome customer service for sure!

Now. This one. I have finally found the milky pink of my dreams. The formula and color are absolutely perfect. I’m a believer🫡

I ordered from Uno Mas for the first time. The polish that I was looking forward to the most was “That’s colour theory, babe” which is supposed to be a glow in the dark hot pink.

I STRUGGLED with the application. The texture is thick and goopy. Honestly it seemed almost like glue-y? It went on thick and once it hit my nail it didn’t want to spread around. Getting around my cuticles neatly was next to impossible because of the gloop so I eventually gave up and just let them look like shit for a few hours before removing it. I tried it again a few days later this time using kb shimmer thinner and even after 10 drops the consistency was still the same. I got 3 other colors and all of those ones seem completely normal when I swatched them so idk. I emailed the shop to see if they have heard about this from anyone else. I dont like being wasteful but this polish really has no redeeming qualities so it’s probably going to go in the trash.

And it doesn’t really have much glow to speak of but that might just be user error. I have never had a glow polish so I probably did it wrong. the only UV light that I have is a little flashlight that I use to look at my vitiligo in the dark 😅 but I charged them underneath for about 10 minutes and there wasn’t any glow. I was trying to make myself feel better because “Avatar State” by Mooncat is my dream but it’s just way too expensive. I also got “La llarona” in the Uno Mas order because it’s supposed to be kinda similar to it but I haven’t tried it yet.

Has anyone else used this color? Does using a top coat make the glow effect not work?
