Handsewn outfit for my Amaya Raine

I made a butterfly circle skirt (plus purple petticoat) and purple top for my Amaya Raine Rainbow High doll. She is one of my favourite Rainbow High dolls, I love her rainbow coloured hair so much! This is one of those forgotten little projects: started in 2022 and finished today. I really love the matching colours of her hair, eyes, makeup, outfit and shoes.

Sewing a new dress for my Lalaloopsy doll

I wanted my Lalaloopsy Rosebud doll to have a cotton dress and not the plastic one she came with. Her bodice was cute, so I carefully took her dress apart and used it as a sewing pattern. Also used the green trim from her sleeves and sewed them on her new dress. Her crosbody bag I made with a piece of fabric from her original dress. I love this doll so much, with her top heavy pink hair and cute pink boots. And dressed in her new dress, I love her even more.

Finished Blanche's mushroom hat today

I love it so much! She's so pretty. Freehand crochet plus french knot embroidery for the dots. Blanche is a Smartdoll Marvel with elf ears and pear body in tea skintone. Crafted by me: floral skirt-pants, linen top, choker and mushroom hat. I love how her outfit is coming together.

The Secret Garden: book and doll become one

I crafted Mary Lennox in her Secret Garden; found the doll in a thrift store and did some paper-maché on her skin, using bookpaper from the book The Secret Garden. Doll and book become one....... Sewed her a dress and mossy coat. Crochet her a beret and made her a pair of leather boots with bead buttons. Mary wears the key to the garden around her neck. She sits on a open book in with she is planting seads, she is growing her own secret garden. I created her flowers and greenery with faux plants and flowers; I used dried tea leaves for dirt.

I painted The Kiss on a wooden letter H

For my mother's birthday. It's her favourite painting and her first name starts with an H. It was fun to paint this famous painting of Gustav Klimt on the letter, although I had to puzzle a lot on the edges to get everything where I wanted ánd make it look good too!

I made a black outfit with Jheronimus Bosch details

This is Blithe doll Saskia, she wears a dress I made with a small piece of printed fabric (a cloth to clean your glasses) with fantastic creatures from Jheronimus Bosch' paintings, plus black fabrics and lace trims. Also used on her bonnet. For her purse I used a small leftover piece of printed fabric, together with metal craft and jewelry pieces. I love the paintings of Jheronimus Bosch and this way I can enjoy his work in my doll display.

This is my Lalaloopsy Rosebud Longstem doll + painting

She's so cute. When I first got her, a few years ago, I sewed her a new cotton dress ánd painted her portret. She gives me so much joy all these years. Love these large headed Lalaloopsy dolls (she's the only one in my doll collection). Designing and sewing her dress was so much fun, plus made her a tiny cross-body bag. Immediately she inspired me for a painting; the vibrant colours and cuteness, I love it. I painted her in acrylics on a 60 cm x 20 cm canvas. In the painting I tried to give her a lively look and still let her be the cute doll she is.

Blanche is a Smartdoll Marvel with elf ears and pear body in tea skintone. Her purse I made with leftover granny squares from my mother. I added a lining, some threads and wooden beads as closure. I love it and I think it suits Blanche's look. Her floral skirt-pants and white linen top I had sewn for her, when I just got her a year ago.

She is a 1/4 Resinsoul Li in grey skintone. I gave her a face-up and bodypaint. And crafted her goose wings and wig. Her corset is made by Raouken and the rest of her outfit is made by me; including goggles and goose feet boots. She doesn't fly anymore. Because she needs restringing, she sits on her doll stand, in stead of standing at wing hight. Gives nice new perspectives for photography in my doll display. I love her so much. Often, when spending weeks on creating a character, for me, a crafting project is complete after painting a portrait of the doll. I included some photo's of the large acrylic painting I did of Goose Girl Lizzie.

Plus trying out different lights. I just finished crafting this extra room for my castle tower dollhouse, a cellar, walls and tiny "stone" steps sculpted with paperclay on a scrap cardboard base and coloured with soft pastels on white gesso. Terra-cotta floor tiles made from cardboard. I think I'd like to see some more variation; like, for instance, fabric sacks and wooden objects? Any suggestions? At this moment the cellar isn't attached to the dollhouse yet. First I have to finish the interior. Because, once in place, I can't reach inside anymore.

She's my first Smartdoll I purchased a few years ago. I planned on making her a red dress, but when she arrived she requested other colours. Outfit starting point: this gorgeous handmade green silk dress, gifted to me by a dear doll friend. I sewed the yellow underdress and her stripy knee high socks. Her apron is taken from a vintage souvenir doll. I also crafted her a leather waist belt, including bottles for dried herbs, tools and a teacup holster. The orange lantern is from Our Generation. For her flower hat I embroidered frower petals and a curly stem, sewn together. Arrietty is very dear to me.
