I planted my hibiscus in cement and it died. WTH!

I even remember to fertilise it with eggshells. Ungrateful plant!

A little baby Amorphophallus gallowayii

A truly black species with a purple/blue undertone

Barbatus is the best Amorphophallus!

Here’s a list of why:

  1. It sizes up fast.
  2. It’s relatively easy
  3. The tuber is round and sizes up uniformly (unlike some species which grow elongating tubers that require a special pot)
  4. It’s not leggy. The petiole is very short compared to other species.
  5. Both the leaf and bloom are absolutely gorgeous.

It’s a no compromise species.

Which one would you keep?

I have these 2 AOS x ZxM that I grew from seed and because of space constraints I need to let one go but I genuinely cannot decide!

My favourite orchid

Rescued it from a grocery store. It was very yellow and without any blooms and now I love it so much. Last year’s bloom lasted 7 months.
