Uh.. Do they know what that implies?

Saw this phone booth rebranding last week.

Do they realise what that implies about the booth, particularly with Bender on it, given that "phone" booths in Futurama are usually Suicide Booths..?
(at least in the first episode where we first meet Bender)

Edit: I've since found out that the campaign isn't Futurama-specific, but rather a number of different cartoon characters. To me, that makes it even more likely that it's an oversight/missed connection rather than an intentional marketing ploy; to them, he was just one of many popular cartoon characters, as opposed to it being a specific call-back to his first appearance in the first episode of the show.

TIL - Aussie Tech Death band "Ouroboros" released a second album in 2015.

I knew of and loved their album "Glorification of a Myth" that came out in 2011, and I've listened to it hundreds of times through, yet somehow the existence of a second album "Emanations" released in 2015 escaped me.

Very much worth listening to "Glorifications..." now if you haven't heard it, and I'm gonna go spin "Emanations" right now.

Terminal Sleep are back at practice!

For those unaware, Todd from Terminal Sleep suffered a spinal injury back in January that required immediate surgery and months of healing and recuperation.

Looks like Todd has healed up at least enough to sit upright, because they're back in their practice space with Todd "sitting upright again!"

Checklist/parts list for a upgrade.

Hi folks,

Looking for some assistance/sanity check on a parts list to upgrade my current bike.

TLDR: I currently have a 2021 Giant ATX mountain bike that I periodically ride to work and back. It came equipped with Shimano Tourney TZ 3*7 and 99% of the riding I've done previously has been sealed roads, and almost always used the largest chainring, only shifting up and down the cassette as needed.

Currently it shifts like garbage and I was looking at either a new bike, or buying parts to upgrade this one.

If I wanted to upgrade this bike to something like 1*10 (I'll likely get a local shop to do the build), I understand I'd need things like cassette and chainring, rear derailleur, cranks, probably a bottom bracket, chain, shifter and brake levers.

Anything else? I'm just trying to figure out the parts list before I work out a budget. I'm in Melbourne, Australia for whatever that's worth.

Thanks!

Autopilot timing out during Device ESP.

Hi folks, I'm trying to pull apart our current Autopilot (v1) sequence, I've inherited what's here and no one who's worked on it previously is still working here.

I had issues for a while with the devices timing out because there was too many applications marked as "required for all devices", and there was a mix of MSI/W32 apps as well, plus a few packaged apps that had broken. I've streamlined that now so there are only three applications required for all devices, and everything else has been pushed over to the user phase or just made available from Company Portal.

Autopilot devices are currently still timing out during the "Apps" step in the Device ESP phase. I've downloaded and run the "get-autopilotdiagnosticscommunity" scripts (excellent tool btw, thank you /u/andrew181082 ) and there's no major errors, but the only thing that stands out to me is that two of the required applications show "70 (Success / Enforcement Completed)" next to them, but the third only shows "0 (None)"

Is this indicating that the third application is not returning an exit code and the installation is hanging until it's received an indication of a successful install?

In the "observed timeline" portion of the script, it's showing a status of "none" next to that third application, but then each step of download started, download finished, installation started, installation finished all appear for that same application, so I'm a little confused.

This could just be a red herring and I'm off looking at the wrong thing too.

Any guidance is appreciated.

Hey folks,

My wife and I bought an apartment last year, we're assessing a few options for contents insurance, and most are enquiring about the material used to build the external walls or the roof (we are second floor with one floor above us).

I was unable to find this in the contract (in amongst all the subdivision plans and floor plans of lift shafts etc) nor the building report we had done before settlement.

Apparently I can lodge a "document search" request with the local council for them to check the records offsite (the building was completed in 2010 so I assume the records aren't readily available) but this could be a few hundred dollars.

Are there any public sources of this sort of information I don't know about?

Thanks!
