Manipal Cigna's counter offer - What should I do next?

Happy Independence Day!

Recently got health insurance cover from my mother, who is 66 years of age, from Manipal Cigna's Sarvaparam plan. Her pre-existing conditions/diseases are:

  • Diabetes
  • Hypertension
  • Gout
  • Early-stage cataract
  • Hereditary Pattern Dystrophy in both eyes, which was all disclosed while taking the policy

They shared a counter offer stating that Hereditary Pattern Dystrophy disease will not be covered for 2 years and I got to know that they are also not going to cover any cataract treatment for the same duration.

After I agreed to the plan, Manipal Cigna's customer service called me and asked me if my mother had undergone cataract surgery yet, to which I said no, not yet. It's still diagnosed but surgery has not happened. She's under treatment.

After five days I get another counter offer. Now they state that they're going to permanently exclude my mother's eyes from the policy for the policy underwriting. Mind you this is after I have received the policy kit from accepting it 5 days ago.

This I feel is unfair and I say anything I can do to contest this. I'm willing to forfeit this policy and go look for other options.

The add-ons I added here were:

  • No room cap
  • Consumables rider

The total premium is around 59,000/yearly | SI: 15L

The main USP of the Manipal Cigna plan is that they cover everything from day one, especially the Sarva Param. Since they have permanently excluded my mother's eyes, I am not happy with the counter offer.

Would love to hear your suggestions and thoughts and my options regarding this. Attaching below the first counter offer they shared and the second counter offer they shared five days later.

Thank you. Jai Hind.

Lost ~₹2 lakh in an online fraud 48 hours ago. FIR filed, cybercrime complaint registered, IO has beneficiary account details. What should I do next?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for advice from anyone who has gone through the cybercrime recovery process in India.

About 48 hours ago, I fell victim to an online financial fraud and lost approximately ₹2 lakh through 3 UPI transactions made over the course of a few hours.

As soon as I realized it was a scam:

  • Reported it on the Cyber Crime Portal within about 3 hours
  • Received an acknowledgement number
  • Filed an FIR the same day
  • Met the Investigating Officer (IO) the following day
  • Provided all transaction IDs, screenshots, chats, phone numbers, account details, and other evidence

The police now have:

  • Beneficiary bank account details
  • UPI IDs used in the scam
  • Transaction IDs
  • Phone numbers used by the scammers
  • Copies of the communications and documents used to convince me to transfer the money

The Cyber Crime Portal currently shows the complaint as "Under Process."

A few questions:

  1. What usually happens after this stage?
  2. Will the police actively trace the money trail if the funds have already been moved out of the first beneficiary accounts?
  3. How long does it typically take for banks to respond to freeze/lien requests?
  4. If any amount is successfully frozen, how long does it usually take for the money to be returned to the victim?
  5. Is there anything proactive I should be doing right now besides following up with the IO?
  6. Has anyone here recovered funds after reporting within a few hours of the fraud?

I'm trying to set realistic expectations. I understand recovery is never guaranteed, but since the complaint and FIR were both filed on the same day, I'm hoping there is still a chance.

Any insights from people who have gone through NCRP/cybercrime recovery or law enforcement professionals would be greatly appreciated.

BS Resolution for SLow Speed Complaint [Network Issue]

What kind of BS is this? I complained of slower speeds which they agreed while diagnosing the issue on the Vi App and said they'll reach out

The Response:
Simply connect to WiFi to enjoy better speeds? Dafuq you mean, you keep raising the charges of data packs and expect me to use WiFi for better speeds, usually I am on WiFi but recently because of frequent power cuts I realized my data speeds are pathetic, even an image doesn't load on reddit. What logic is "Use your WiFi instead" I'm already paying a hefty price for your data monopoly and validity options?!

Naivo query

Hi,

Just received my beans from Naivo, filter roast. The roast date is 8 days old, which isn’t a concern since I can enjoy them right away without needing to rest them. I placed the order 3 days ago.

Does Naivo roast on specific dates during the month, or is it not strictly roast-to-order?
