🚨 Veterans: Napoleonic Wars is BACK on Steam.

The Veterans: Napoleonic Wars DMCA drama just took a wild turn. As of today, the game's Steam page is suddenly reappearing for some users.

Why today? It’s been exactly 12 business days since the devs filed their counter-notice. Under the DMCA, if an accuser doesn't file a federal lawsuit within a strict 10-to-14 business day window, Steam is legally obligated to restore the game.

It strongly looks like the accuser may not have escalated to a lawsuit. Right on cue, the developers also dropped a new blog showing their maps being built from absolute scratch—a very strategic PR move to try and prove original work.

I just put together a quick video breaking down this legal timeline, the new dev blog, and what this means for the original asset-flip allegations.

📺 Watch the quick news update here: https://youtu.be/FZhuVLa7hoQ

What do you guys think? Did the accuser back down to avoid court fees, or is there more to this?

The deepest free-to-play strategy game you've never played (Complete Beginner's Guide)

Hey everyone,

I’ve been absolutely loving Lines of Battle lately. Since I’m still a relatively newer player myself, I wanted to really wrap my head around the depth of the mechanics. I spent a good chunk of time digging through the wiki, studying the available online guides, and combining it with my own trial-and-error to put together a comprehensive beginner's guide.

The game hits that perfect realistic, simultaneous turn-based (WeGo) competitive itch, and it's awesome that it's completely free-to-play. Plus, they just added a WW2 beta option which changes things up a ton.

If you're new or just want a clear breakdown of the core mechanics—like how HP, Org, and Stamina interact, or the actual math behind a successful shock charge—I'd love it if you checked it out.
Any feedback or tips from the veteran generals here would be incredibly appreciated!

Does this capture the SimCity magic? First impressions of the "Metropolis 1998" Steam Demo.

Hey guys and gals, I just checked out the free demo for Metropolis 1998 on Steam, and it is a huge nostalgia trip. If you miss that classic 90s SimCity feel, this needs to be on your radar.

In my opinion, the main draw here is the incredible level of customization. It’s still really early days, so right now it plays more like a satisfying map painter than a full simulation, but it could be great for retro gaming fans down the road.

I made a short video showing off the customization tools and first impressions here if you want to see the gameplay.

Let me know your thoughts!

They say 95% of the ocean is unexplored, and after playing the Thalassophobia demo, I’m perfectly fine keeping it that way.

The game tasks you with scavenging military gear from crash sites and sunken subs. There’s no map, no light except your flashlight, and the scale of the "void" below you is constant. Seeing a shark silhouette pass just outside your light beam is a specific kind of terror that only this sub truly understands.

I did a deep dive into the demo, covering the plane crash site and the feeling of descending into the abyss. If you want to see what a "sweaty palms" gaming session looks like, check it out.
