Question about research/survey posts

AP Research students asking for survey respondents in the weeks leading up to the April 30 deadline is expected and welcome here,

But why are unaffiliated college/grad students posting their research here too? Is this allowed now, or is there just no enforcement?

I mean, I’m a former capstone student so I won’t really be using this sub anymore, but whenever it pops up on my feed it seems like it’s mostly other people’s surveys rather than real AP Research stuff.

r/APSeminar doesn’t seem to have this issue. What’s going on?

Do you like the LTO chocolate crunch munchkins?

Employee from North Carolina here-

I feel like nobody orders these. I mainly work drive thru order taking with a little front counter, and I honestly can’t remember the last time someone ordered more than a 3-count of the Chocolate Crunch Munchkins.

The only way these seem to leave our store is in an assorted box, as part of an employee meal, or in the trash at the end of the day.

I’ve even asked people ordering regular chocolate glazed Munchkins if they want to try that instead after explaining what it is, and I’ve never had anyone say yes.

At this point, our store only makes about half a tray because they barely sell. I think we’re all just waiting for Aug 19 so we can switch over to the pumpkin LTO Munchkins.

So what’s everyone’s opinion on them? Anyone trying to eat as much as they can before they are discontinued in a few weeks? Its counterpart donut (chocolate ice cream cake) sells relatively fine at my store.

Dual Enrollment Students - Has anyone received credit for AP Scores yet?

Title.

I processed a free score send by June 20, and put CPCC as the destination.

CollegeBoard claims the scores were sent, and one of the clerks I spoke too at the college claims the scores were also received on June 20, and they are being "entered manually in the order they were received".

Need these scores to hit ASAP as I took AP PreCalculus and need the MAT175 credit to be applied that way I can register for the fall Calculus class I'm looking at which has seats filling up rapidly!

Reminder: Dunkin has flavored Rockstar Energy

So we sell 2 types, a blue raspberry and strawberry version. Both only come in a large.

I believe as far as caffeine content it will be the same as just 1 can (160mg if I recall right). The fruity flavor shots we add don’t contain caffeine.

But yeah if you’re into Rockstar, check this out. Tried one earlier today and I loved it.

(Also for all my fellow Dunkin employees, I know the drink isn’t stirred yet. Just thought the color was cool 😋)

Don't panic if you see a gray clock icon when checking your AP scores tomorrow

If you're not familiar with the gray clock icon, it means that one or more of your AP scores is still pending (as inferable by the image). While it's definitely frustrating, it usually isn't anything to worry about. There are several reasons why a score may be delayed, including but not limited too:

  • Late/exception testing (especially June administrations)
  • Additional processing for some international exams
  • AP Capstone plagiarism/AI review
  • Administrative processing delays (late materials, account matching, etc.)
  • Testing irregularities (e.g., missing information, answer sheet issues, or testing-room incidents)
  • Score validation or security review (rare; College Board may perform additional verification before releasing a score)

Most of you are probably hoping to log in tomorrow and see a big, bright 5 (and I genuinely hope you do!). But if you end up seeing the gray clock icon instead, don't assume the worst. A pending score does not indicate how you performed - it simply means your score isn't ready to be released yet.

Be patient, keep checking your College Board account over the next few days, and make sure to watch your email as well, since College Board will typically notify you when your score becomes available.

Good luck tomorrow, everyone!

Idaho Falls warehouse at 7pm on a Tuesday

I’m here in eastern Idaho for the next week, so I made a quick stop to their local Costco,

Since IF isn’t a large metro area, I didn’t expect the store to be very busy at all, but man this really blew me away. Entire clothing section only 3 other customers, only 5 cars at gas pump, 4 customers waiting for food court orders, etc

Tuesday at 7pm

Truly wonder what the executive members only hour looks like here 🤣

I found Sam’s Club themed sandals at REI

just kidding. They aren’t licensed sandals or anything cool like that. Just found the design to be extremely reminiscent of the Sam’s Club logo.

Is Pineville, NC really the largest Sam's Club?

Wikipedia says that the largest Sam's Club is in Pineville, NC, with 185,000 sq. ft. of retail space. I've also seen the same claim on a few other websites.

The part about the building originally being an Incredible Universe seems accurate, but as someone whose home club is Pineville, I'm having a hard time believing it's actually larger than some of the other Sam's Clubs I've visited.

Does anyone know if it's still considered the largest location, or if that information is outdated? If it is the largest, what accounts for the extra square footage? It doesn't feel noticeably bigger when you're shopping there.

I'll be in Idaho Falls for 1 week. What are the BEST local restaurants to eat at?

A few friends and I are meeting up in Idaho Falls in a few weeks. We have an Airbnb booked for a week and are basically using the city as our base camp while we explore nearby national parks and hang out.

Anyway, what are some must try restaurants in town?

For context, I'm coming from North Carolina, and my friends are flying in from New Jersey and Florida, so we're interested in places that are either uniquely local or just really good and worth checking out. Open to anything - steakhouses, BBQ, burgers, Mexican, breakfast spots, breweries, etc.

Thanks!

People who scored a 1 on AP Research - Share your story

In 2025, only 2.2% of AP Research students scored a 1.

Considering how low the bar to pass usually is, I’m genuinely curious about the stories behind those scores. What actually happened?

Did someone not finish the academic paper? Miss the POD and not get a makeup? Put all their hopes into the paper carrying their score? Or was the research itself just genuinely weak?

Not trying to judge anyone at all - I’m honestly just interested in hearing the stories/circumstances behind it 😄

I-81 in Maryland vs. Virginia

Maryland: 12 miles long, mostly flat, easy to drive, light police presence, rarely gets full standstill traffic (even in Hagerstown, a decently large town)

Virginia: 325 miles long, State Troopers galore, frequent standstill traffic, ongoing construction, mountainous terrain, trucks trying to pass in the left lane

Skipping class, playing games, watching movies, nap time, you name it.

OR a project, which either is a free 100 and your ticket from getting that C+ to a B-/B+ to an A-, or your arch nemesis that drops you that letter grade.

(If you didn't understand the meaning of the image -> in sports, if a certain team is significantly doing better, and the game is an absolute blowout, we call it garbage time. Simply trying to do whatever we can and try to end as fast as we can. Nothing "memorable" or very interesting occurs.)

Greetings all,

I am taking the Microeconomics exam tomorrow, and to study this morning I was browsing through the released exam from 2012 (I attached a link below).

Anyone here practiced with it last year before they took the 2025 Micro exam? If so -> How would you say the difficulty is between the 2.

I scored 51/60 for the MCQ on the 2012, and am curious if either the 2012 one was abnormally easy, hard, or an accurate representation of what I can expect to see tomorrow.

Thanks!

Title! Unless you're one of the lucky schools with extensions til later in May, the deadline for regular submission performance tasks is now behind us.

Hopefully all my last minute procrastinator friends got their work in, and the random dude I heard who hadn't even started his IRR and it was 11:42pm.

Now, lets divert our attention to the AP exam. Remember, if you believe you didn't do so hot on the IRR/IWA/IMP/TMP, acknowledge that the AP exam makes up almost half of your total score, so lets prepare and do good!

Wishing everyone the best on May 12!

u/MrPepper329 — 4 months ago

When I ask this, I don't mean "Yeah I submitted it on 4/28, 2 days before"

Nah -> I'm asking was anyone simply done in early March and didn't want the burden of continuing to make edits, so you submitted it right then and there?

Pretty much what the title says! My POD is complete and I'm about 95% ready to submit my paper to CB within the next few days,

Curious what the month of May entails for a lot of classes, particularly those in school districts who only end in mid June. Since the other 4/30 classes (Seminar and CSP) have AP exams, a lot of that times goes towards preparing for that, but since us research students don't have an exam.

Also - I'm totally cool if current research students want to share stuff they're teacher told them in advance they will be working on! That would also answer my question
