GLC 300 4MATIC - need honest owners opinion

I am on the market for a mid-size SUV. Currently I am between the GLC and Volvo XC60 (actually, after getting some feedback from Volvo Redditors, Volvo is out the picture now 😂 )

Would love to hear from current and former GLC owners the good, bad and ugly.

My wife and I usually keep our cars 10+ years.

Would you recommend it, buy it again or run away from it? What are major issues you experienced and what’s the maintenance cost been for you?

Thank you in advance for all your feedback. I thought car research was fun 😂

XC60 - The good, bad and the ugly, please

Reposting from the Volvo subreddit:

Doing some research on a midsized SUV. Looked at the GLC, but a bit too flashy for me.

Test drove the 2026 XC60 and loved the ride and the design.

Would love to hear from current XC60 owners the good, bad and the ugly.

Also, keep hearing the maintenance costs are high. For some reason I thought MB would be more expensive to maintain. Wrong assumption?

How comfortable is the Macan?

I’m currently driving a 2020 VW GTI and I love it, but my wife and I are looking to upgrade to a comfortable small SUV.

We haven’t test driven any, currently just doing initial research.

We looked at the GLC, but I didn’t necessarily like the interior. I looked at the Macan and love the interior and how it looks. I also like how the car looks and sounds overall. My main concern is how comfortable the ride will be. My wife is tired of the stiff GTI ride, so wonder how comfortable the drive and the seats are.

Would appreciate some insight.

UPDATE: Thanks so much on all the info! This was really helpful and informative!!!

I went to a Porsche dealer today to check out the Macan. While I did not test drive it, I was a bit concerned with how I personally felt inside the car. While I LOVE the somewhat minimalistic dashboard, I was worried that it’s somehow similar to my GTI experience.

This is just my personal opinion. I think I need something totally different.

I also stopped by a Mercedes dealer and it looks like the GLC might be a contender. While I love the GLE, my parking spot is somewhat tight, and I am worried I would hate it every time I get home.

I was joking with my wife that we should get the GLC and the Macan 😄.

Thank you again on all the info. Now I am heading over to the Mercedes subreddit to bug them about the GLC 😂

Thank you!

What to do near White River Amphitheatre

Hello Indianapolis Folks,

I'm dropping off my daugther at a concert at White River Amphitheatre. We are from Milwaukee, so I'm not really familiar with the area. Is there anything I can do for about 3 hours near there to kill some time.

Would really appreciate some ideas. Also, please let me know if there are some areas to avoid near the White River Amphitheatre.

Thank you!

Announcements don’t cost a thing!

Dear United,

I understand the weather can throw a wrench and flights will get delayed, cancelled and run late.

But when folks board a plane, after spending the night at hotels or at the airport, and there are no updates after 30min+, that’s not cool!

And the staff shouldn’t get upset if they have 45 passengers asking them the same thing.

Keeping us posted doesn’t cost a thing!

Starting a small business and feel so rushed, behind and frustrated!

I need to vent about this as I have no one around me who has a small business.

I am in the process of building a small online business. When I first got the idea, I felt excited and happy! Now that I am in the process of launching it, i feel so stressed. I feel like I am fighting “imaginary” competition…I am afraid I am not getting ahead fast enough…someone else might come and conquer my local market. I know that there will always be competition, but sometimes it’s paralyzing me. I look at my to do list and I get stressed how long it is. I question if this dream will ever take off.

The joy is gone, it’s only stress. People say enjoy the process. Well, I am stressed as I feel like I need to move faster.

Having a full time job and a family, it’s not easy to move faster.

Folks who have been in similar situations, how have you handled this?

I really want to enjoy building this small dream, but right now it’s just a nightmare.

Thanks for reading!
