Has anyone else quit this game super early?

I’m not saying the game is bad, and I’m not posting this just to complain. I genuinely love FC and still think it’s a good game despite all the hate it gets. But I think I’ve reached a point where I’m just tired of it. I stopped playing about a month ago. Not because the game itself is awful, but because I’ve been playing since FIFA 06 and it feels like the burnout is finally catching up to me. I’m just not as into it as I used to be.

Anyone else feel the same?

EDIT: Guys, I’m not saying the game is bad at all. I honestly love it. I’ve just hit the point where I’ve been playing for so long that the burnout has finally caught up to me. I’m good at the game, been in Elite since day one and usually finish on 14 to 15 wins in WL every week. Playing other game modes doesn’t really fix that kind of burnout. 😂

Is there an up to date guide for skill moves on PC/console?

Apparently, the eFootball 2025 skill moves tutorial videos no longer work after the 2026 update. Does anyone have an updated video or guide that shows how to do all the skill moves with the new button controls on PC/console?

Best places to take a 3 year old boy to celebrate their birthday?

My son is a huge animal lover, so the Portland zoo or an aquarium were the obvious first ideas. But I’m wondering what other animal-related stops or attractions are worth checking out, especially along I-5?

I’d be driving up from Medford, Oregon, so anything on or near that route would be great.

Efootball needs a complete rebrand…

eFootball needs a complete rebrand. Keep the name, but redo everything else from the ground up, the menus, the UI, the logo, and the whole visual identity.

Right now, the game looks and feels outdated as hell compared to basically any football game out there. The presentation is garbage, the design feels anything but modern, and even the trailers and ads look fucking awful like the one in this post.

For a game that wants to be taken seriously, the whole brand needs a hard reset with a cleaner, more professional look.

They have all this money and still can’t put out campaigns that don’t look cringe as hell or make the game’s overall look feel modern.

Showing World Cup games at Bear Creek Amphitheater just makes sense…

It would be really cool if they showed some of the World Cup matches, if not all of them, or at least the final, at the Bear Creek outdoor theatre. It feels like a missed opportunity to bring the community together for something fun and engaging. It would also make perfect sense to tie it in with the “Movies at the Park” events.

Konami, please give us a custom Blimp camera setting…

Please. Every other camera is either too close, too far, or stuck at some weird angle that feels terrible.

I want to be able to see the whole pitch well enough to spot open players, but still be close enough to actually see what’s happening at my feet when I’m dribbling. Right now it feels like none of the camera settings really get that balance right.

Anyone else feel the same way?

It’s insane how divided this subreddit is…

I’ve only played this game a handful of times, so I don’t really have a strong opinion on it. But from the outside looking in, it’s kind of wild seeing how divided everyone is. Every time I scroll Reddit, it feels like it’s split right down the middle, half the posts are saying “this game is complete shit” and “the worst thing ever made”, and the other half are saying it’s actually great. I don’t know, it’s just funny to watch.

Normal passing feels broken because players rarely show for the ball

Why do my players literally hide behind defenders when I make a normal pass? Instead of coming to the ball or adjusting at all, they just stand in the worst possible lane and kill the attack. Am I really supposed to through pass everything in this game? I was watching a top 100 player the other day, asked him for advice, and he said one of the best things to learn is how to through pass every pass. Is that actually true? Because if it is, that says a lot about how bad normal passing and player positioning feel right now. Even when there’s a clear passing lane, players still somehow sometimes will drift behind defenders for no reason.

And before anyone says “skill issue”, I’ve been top 2000 every phase for the last 2 months, currently sitting at 1238.

Too much realism is holding this game back

eFootball is proof that too much realism makes a football game worse.

The game tries so hard to feel real that it ends up feeling stiff. Passing, receiving, defending, making runs, all of it feels way more restricted than it should. Too many times it feels like the game already decided what your player is about to do.

That’s the problem. A football game should feel responsive first. If I read a pass, let me cut it out. If I trigger a run, let it happen. If I defend something well, reward me for it. Way too much of this game feels heavy for no reason.

That heavy gameplay just makes server issues feel even worse. When the game already has built in delay and sluggish movement, any bad connection makes everything feel twice as unresponsive. At that point you’re not even fighting your opponent, you’re fighting heavy gameplay and the servers at the same time.

I remember playing PES 2016 and loving how fluid that game felt. To me that was one of the best football games ever made. It felt smooth, responsive, and like you had real freedom on the ball without the game constantly dragging you into heavy animations.

I honestly feel that’s why the meta is so narrow too. When the game feels this rigid, of course everyone is going to use the one style that gets the most out of it. That’s why so many top players play the same way, especially with LBC. The game rewards direct, repetitive football way more than freedom or creativity.

I genuinely do enjoy this game. I came over from FC about 2 months ago and have made top 1500 on PC every phase I’ve played. When this game works, there are little moments in it that feel beautiful. That’s what keeps me playing. But lately it feels like the bad is starting to outweigh the good.

Would you rather have realistic gameplay or an arcade feel in this game? And why?

Quick question for everyone: on the gameplay side of things, do you want this game to feel more realistic, or do you prefer it still have that arcade feel like it does now?

Not talking about graphics, animations, or match atmosphere, just actual gameplay: defending, attacking, pace, and how your inputs translate to what happens on screen.

People switched to Efootball for the same issues they complained about in FC

I find it ironic that so many people who left FC for Efootball ended up in a game that still has the same complaints, just amplified. And I’m not saying FC is perfect. I still go back and forth between both myself.

People complained about finesse shots being too strong, then moved to a game where Blitz Curler is even more ridiculous.

They complained about scripting, then found themselves in a game with heavy scripting moments that a lot of its player base talk about and acknowledge, especially late in matches.

They complained about FC being too pay-to-win, then jumped into a game with packs locked behind a literal paywall and little to no in-game way to earn them.

They complained about rebounds and responsiveness, then went to a game that is somehow worse in both.

They complained that FC gameplay was too one dimensional, only to move to a game where most people use the same narrow style and just spam direct haram ball.

They even wanted playstyles removed from FC, only to move to a game where players feel useless without the right skills for basic passes, shots and dribbles.

They criticized goalkeeper movement, then jumped to efootball where they give you much more control of the keepers than FC ever did.

At some point, I think a lot of the frustration with FC isn’t really about FC being uniquely bad anymore. It’s burnout. People are tired of the same game after years of playing it.

I also think it’s healthy for players to try other games. The football world is huge, and there are plenty of great football games and non-football games out there like efootball. But the irony here is that many people didn’t escape the problems they hated. They just traded one set for another, and sometimes worse versions of the same ones.

So the real issue might not be “FC is terrible” or “Efootball is perfect.” It’s more like: we’re all stuck in the same cycle of complaints, and the alternatives aren’t the clean escape we hoped for. Idk, just me.

Are there certain situations that are already pre determined by the game?

Outside of the last 10 to 20 minutes feeling scripted, does anyone else feel like some passes and dribbles are predetermined?

I played a former top 50 player and was up 1-0 until around the 70th minute. I switched to ultra defensive and then he just started chaining 1 2 passes straight through my defense. It felt like no matter how well I positioned myself, I couldn’t stop it until he got in the box and tried to shoot.

In the final minute he strung one final 1-2 through pass with Cruyff and Gullit, my defenders recovered and were all back in the box by the time he got there, he then sends one through pass through my perfectly blocked off box, threading it through 4 or 5 players then scored. In any other game or real situation the defenders would’ve stopped it without a problem but it literally went through all my defenders like a needle perfectly finding its way out of a haystack. It honestly felt like I wasn’t meant to win the ball back or win.

Anyone else feel this or am I missing something?

The higher you climb the more P2W this game feels…

Coming from FC and sitting around top 2000, the higher I climb the more P2W this game feels, especially in Division 1 and top 5000.

At that level it feels like it stops being about skill and starts being about setup. No passing skills? You’re not breaking defenses or hitting basic lobbed through balls when you need to. No blitz curler? Wide play is dead. Wrong manager? Your forwards won’t even make runs or position themselves in decent places unless you pay for it.

If you want a player that can actually do everything at a high level, like dribble and consistently make the right passes, the best versions are locked behind a paywall. So now it’s not about how you play, it’s about how much you’ve spent or how lucky you got.

And now we’re at a point where you need to pay for attacking surge just so your 100 pace attacker actually makes a run and doesn’t get caught by a 60 pace defender. But also, we have to pay for shadow hunt just so those attackers with attacking surge can’t make those runs with the extra boost. It makes no sense.

There are too many systems stacked on top of each other. Skills, playstyles, managers, player builds. Miss one piece and you feel it immediately against good players.

At that point you’re not losing because you got outplayed. You’re losing because you don’t have the full paid setup. And I feel it. I’ve lost by one goal to top 100 players and in some cases outside of plain skill, the only reason I lost is because they paid for the right players, right skills and right managers…it’s ridiculous.

What’s with so many Top 1000 players playing haram ball? 😭

I’m still fairly new to eFootball since I came over from FC a little over a month ago, and somehow managed to get to Division 1 and around rank 1621 playing Hansi Flick possession with a decent team. I’ve actually been enjoying the game a lot too.

But man, the higher you climb the more every game starts feeling exactly the same. It’s always 5 at the back, 2 skyscrapers up front, LBC and just nonstop lobbed through pass spam every single attack. I see that so many of the top players play so identical. Same setup, same buildup, same goals. Half the time it feels like I’m playing the same person over and over again lol.

I get wanting to win and obviously it works or people wouldn’t be doing it, but damn it’s kinda sad seeing so many high ranked players play the most garbage football imaginable just to grind wins. Especially because the gameplay actually feels really fun when people are trying to play actual football instead of abusing the same mechanics over and over.

I’ve even thought about switching to LBC myself because of how effective it is, but every time I consider it I feel dirty even thinking about it 💀

What’s the overall consensus from people that have been playing longer? Is this basically what high level eFootball turns into?

(Shout out to everyone that plays anything but LBC)

Why do my players refuse to position themselves to receive the ball when not on a run?

Am I losing my mind or do players just refuse to position themselves in front of the opponents players to receive the ball? The attacking IQ in this game can be incredible, but then the most basic thing, just getting open, doesn't happen in so many situations. Is this actually a problem or am I just losing my mind?

Is this considered good?

(Blocking out names because idk if that would get me banned)

Not trying to flex, just genuinely asking if this is considered good?

For context, I’ve been a longtime FC player in top divisions, but only got back into eFootball over a month ago (last time was around 2017, mostly offline). Picked it up after watching my little brother play, so he gave me his account and went back to FC because he was done with this game I guess.

The account is stacked but he was stuck in higher div 2-3 and hasn't played this phase at all. I’ve managed to push it to just over 1,000 rank, which he never hit or was even close into being in the ranks that reaches you to div 1. My possession/tiki-taka style from FC has translated pretty well.

I’ve noticed a lot of top 1,000 players run super meta, ratty setups instead of actually building play.

Are these results actually good? And are those screenshots showing previous global ranks?
