Not the best pic, she’s antsy… just got this little princess to the vet to get spayed. She’s scared while mama’s worried but I know it’ll all be ok.

Flying in from California in October and am wondering about bringing a drone.

I checked the group but didn’t find anything that could help me. I’m wondering if I will have any issues at the airport and on the beach brining a 249 g drone. We’ll be staying at an all inclusive resort. I’ve seen drones there previous years. We come out every year but this year I’m thinking of brining my drone but not sure what to expect at airport and beach law/regulations etc.

Any information is appreciated.

I’m going to be driving up the 395 from Southern California, looking for best places to stop to rockhound

As the title says, I’m doing a road trip up the 395 to Fall River Mills… Solo. Leaving early morning, around 4/5 am. Looking for stops along the way and day trips from Fall River Mills to go rock hounding. I’ll be up there for about a week once I arrive. Any suggestions and tips are appreciated. I will be alone. I have a Subaru forester so terrain isn’t much of an issue.

In honor of the reflection pool, I made swamp soup

First time making this. I’ve been wanting to ever since I saw someone on here post it months ago. Finally did it! And oh man is it delicious! Soooo much flavor and goodness! I’ll post the link to the recipe I used in the comments. I did double the recipe so I could freeze some for later. I used half the rice (1 cup of cooked rice for a double recipe) than what the recipe called for and it was plenty. I can’t imagine having more rice in it. It’d be too mushy imo. I also used almost a whole rotisserie chicken shredded. I say, almost cause I was eating it as I was cleaning it, and of course, all the juices from the rotisserie chicken along with homemade chicken stock that I used. I squeezed in one large lemon. It’s sooo delicious!! This is a keeper. Super versatile too from the recipe comments I read. I stuck to the recipe for the first time. (Other than the rice) I used GF soy sauce. I can totally see this being made vegan too by changing broth and using tofu or whatever you desire.

I passed my Technician exam a couple days ago

Still have no idea what I’m doing. I did join local club and got my radio programmed but still very unsure of everything… everyone’s telling me to get my general while still fresh off studying. I started studying but def need to learn more on how to use my radio. I did make my first and only radio contact today while at field day with their help. I’m such a clueless soul in ham radio right now. But I got this! I need to be ready when I get called out for CERT or my other search and rescue team I’m in.

How long until you guys started feeling comfortable with your radio and frequencies etc?

Newbie with questions

I just joined our local CERT team and just passed my Ham license test. Not sure which Baofeng model I should get. I’m up in the mountains at 6200 ft elevation with a lot of forests around me. I was told someone from the group will help with programming, but I’m really not sure which model would be best for during an emergency. We are located in a fire prone area, major snow storms and highly susceptible to earthquakes. Good ol’ California. Any advice is appreciated.

Looking for Trina who left Di Milano nails on Hospitality

She did the best job on my nails, I called to rebook her but she left a week ago. Anyone know where she’s working now? I’d really love to have her continue to do my nails. I’m so bummed I finally found an amazing nail tech and she’s gone.
