Horror might be the worst genre to see in cinemas at the moment
I hate to admit it as I love horror but it’s getting increasingly unbearable to watch horror movies in the cinema, went to tonight’s scream unseen, thought great I’ve been looking forward to this one,
A large group walked in during the trailers and immediately just by the way they come in I knew they weren’t going to have any ettiqute, what I did not expect to see when the time come to shush them was them all with there bare feet on the chair, they just proceeded to laugh at me as if this was normal behaviour,
Another group this time all lads walked in as the logos were rolling and started shouting “I can’t see the rows” and “what seats are we in” basically talking as if there at a football game for the first 2 - 3 minutes, then while the movies on there playing a game of “is it him or is it the possession”,
In the front row I could see people talking, luckily I couldn’t hear them but they got out there phone however were quickly shut down by someone else,
It gets to a point where you go get cinema staff but as I’ve experienced a few times there reluctant to do anything, I understand why Cinema Staff are reluctant to do anything too because people are becoming increasingly more and more hostile when confronted about there awful behaviour and they probably don’t want to risk the confrontation,
However it unfortunately becomes a loose loose for someone like myself who’s actually trying to enjoy the movie because I feel like I’m unable to fully get invested into the film and concentrate, so what become a film I was really looking forward to just felt average to me because I constantly felt like I missed something,
I understand it’s not just a horror thing, and I’ve been to some great scream unseen such as obsession where everyone was respectful, but seriously I’ve been to see Toy Story 5 and Spider-Man and there’s been young children better behaved then fully grown adults in the screens
