What is it with '28x29' men’s jeans constantly being sold out and never re-stocked?

I get that 28 inseam is popular since it’s usually the shortest option (but also, cmon man, leave some for us short folks), but it feels like every pair of men’s jeans in 28x29 is sold out instantly in every fit/colour and then never restocked.
I'm talking about UK A&F FYI. Not sure how it is elsewhere.

Meanwhile there are loads of 28x30, 28x32 etc sitting there.

What’s the deal? Does A&F just barely make any 28x29 stock to begin with or something?

EDIT: Got the measurements wrong way. It's 29 waist and 28 inseam! So 29x28.

Can't install Lenovo BIOS updates on my T14. EFI partition too small causing the issue?

Thinkpad T14 Gen 5 AMD.
Installed W11 last March, which made a 100mb EFI partition.
My EFI partition is 100mb and BIOS updates are about 250mb, hence I can't intall.
I want to reinstall W11 and use diskpart, but how do I make a new EFI partition (about 1GB)?

Is this the fix? Who's fault is it? What if I was not tech literalte, what the fuck would I do now?

Rufus; to tick or not to tick, that is the question...?

Going for a fresh W11 Pro re-install on my Thinkpad T14 (I need to re-size EFI partition during install to around 1GB for Lenovo Bios updates to be accepted).
I read that if selecting Pro, to avoid an MS account, you just click "Domain Join" instead (so I dont really need to tick box no.2 for removing requirements for MS account?).

I presume having "disable bitlocker" is important also? I have that enabled atm.

Or should I just untick most of this, and manually go through it myself?

Engineer left freezer switched off during repair visit, causing £500 food loss - company denying responsibility. Any legal options?

We have appliance insurance with Domestic & General, who sent an engineer from a third-party company called Domex to inspect our Beko fridge due to a water leak. When booking, we clearly explained the issue was with the fridge, not the freezer.

During the visit, the engineer removed freezer drawers/items and switched the freezer off while trying to diagnose something. My mum then came home and questioned why he was working on the freezer, telling him the issue was actually the fridge. He replied along the lines of “oh sorry, I didn’t realise.”

He put everything back, but crucially left the freezer switched off.

Nobody realised until the next day when we found around £500 worth of frozen food had defrosted (we have photo evidence of this). That’s when I checked and saw the freezer was still off.

We complained to Domestic & General, who redirected us to Domex as the engineer worked for them. Domex are now denying responsibility and claiming my brother (who was home at the time) switched the freezer off, which we strongly dispute.

Do we realistically have any legal/consumer rights options here, or is this likely to go nowhere without direct proof?

Thank you! :)

EDIT: We are in England, London.
EDIT 2: Separate Fridge & Freezer!

How many ADULT shoes (7.5 UK) does the STÄLL shoe cabinet ACTUALLY hold?

Ikea website says 8.
Googele 'summary' give a range of 8-24 (depending on show size I guess).

I have 8 shoes so far (trainers, boot, gym shoe) and plan to buy a few more.
Worried that if I buy this storage, it wont be enough space.
If it can fit up to 12~ I'd be happy.

Best gym split/programme for an awkward shift-work schedule?

I’m coming to the end of my 12th week of PHUL and honestly it’s gone really well — good progress overall. Been training for a good few years so know my stuff, but goal is still to build muscle, put on weight and shape out (which I am so far).

My awkward work pattern is:

  • 3 x 12h day shifts (can’t go gym)
  • 3 x 12h night shifts (can go gym during the day before work)
  • then 6 days off

So technically I have around 9 days in a row where I can go gym.
Sometimes I’ll train 2 days back-to-back, but because I go around midday, it awkwardly breaks the whole day up. I prefer having some rest days in between to run errands, go into town, relax a bit, etc. So I mostly go every other day.
Plus, I cba to go gym every day.

For context:

  • 31 male
  • 5'1
  • 58kg
  • Started my first cut the other week

What split/programme would people recommend with this kind of schedule?

I’ve been looking at some 5-day style programmes like PPL or KONG because I want the exercise variety. Realistically I could probably run anything and see how I get on.

I’ve just read a lot online saying that running PPL every other day doesn’t work that well, and that full body is better instead.

I've connected my Phillips Hue app to my Google Home and when I ask it to turn off lights, I get a voice of "turning off 3 lights".

Kinda annoying. Is there a way to turn this off?

How to turn off Google Home's "turning off 3 lights" for Phillips Hue lights when I ask it to?

I have a feeling this might be a r/googlehome post instead of here.

HBO Max app not working/showing content on Firestick 4k??

Firestick 4k (2019) on version 6.7.1.1

When I log in, it just shows this 'settings' page (image 1) and nothing else.
Yet when I log in on my mobile, it shows the main page and the contents (image 2).

What is going on?
I've logged into the web browser and only have 2 devices logged into the account (phone and firestick).

What obvious thing am I missing?

Everytime I fill my sink up the water slowly drains, so have to keep refilling.
Just popped the plug in a bag of white malt vinegar (I hear it's a good limescale remover).

Just so I dont need to wait 3-4h / overnight for it ti hopefully cleanup and find the answer yo my issues....is it the limescale that has been causing this? As it's not a full, 100% seal?

Parents said they heard a 'puff' noise from the washermachine yesterday, which might have caused a section of the house's power to be down (there was a power trip).
They got this back up and running.
During the trip, ther was a load of clothes in the washermachine. They managed to get the closes out.

But now we cant use the washermachine with any setting/option.

I found this facebook post with the exact error but no real fix for me.
The door opens and closes fine. Just we cant get it to start any programme.

Engineer comes on Wednesday, but was hoping to ask Reddit for a possible/easy fix!?

Love the minimal look of these 2 trainers, but they are sold in the US and come with a hefty import fee to the UK

What else is recommended? Bar expensive Common Projects...

Edit: Under £200...

I’ve got a ThinkPad T14 Gen 5 (AMD, OLED) and currently use an old HDMI → HDMI cable to connect to my monitor. It works fine, but the cable is thick and stiff, so I’m thinking of replacing it.

My T14 supports 60Hz and 120Hz, but I usually stick to 60Hz to save battery (and don’t notice much difference for basic browsing/YouTube).

I do plan to upgrade to a better modern monitor in the near future.

I’m debating between:

  • HDMI → HDMI (new, thinner cable)
  • USB-C → HDMI
  • USB-C → DisplayPort

From what I’ve read, USB-C → DisplayPort is better for higher refresh rates/gaming. In that case, would HDMI → HDMI still be fine for now? Or USB-C>HDMI ??
I've read that the conversion of USB C>HDMI isnt as good as the other 2 options.

Both are £130 but the BW Army Shoe is sold out of my 7.5 UK size (but can get it on END).
It also has craked leather vs the Decon which is smooth.
The Suede colour looks a tad different.
Both are £130

I'm looking for that smart casual (but also can dress down) white trainer and love the look of these.

Thoughts?
