Filter recommendations?

I have a 1500 mL/48 ounce mason jar and I just mix the grounds with the water right now. I’m actually using a coffee filter from my coffee machine, but I’m looking for a recommendations on a good cold brew filter. I’d like to keep using these mason jars because I already have a bunch of them.

Any reccs?

Bosch 500 short cycling

I have a brand new Bosch 500 series dishwasher and every time I run it it runs for maybe 5 to 10 minutes… And sometimes as long as 30 minutes and then it beeps a few times and completely turns off. And then shows these lights

Any idea what this could be?

Rehomed Cat - feel horrible

We had our cat since 2020 and he’s really a great, beautiful cat but we recently had to rehome him.

It’s a long story, but he’s always had sort of behavioral issues and some anxiety and we did everything we could. We brought him to many different vets, specialist, we tried special food, he was on Prozac, etc. The anxiety got so bad that he started peeing all over the house. We have an eight week old baby and a four year-old and he’s ruined literally thousands of dollars worth of stuff like a bassinet a stroller, chair, and other things.

He also turned into an indoor/outdoor cat when we moved into our house and was spending more time outside and would bring rats to our front door, all bloody, and then would go up and lay on our bed, which was not ideal to say the least.

He’s the sweetest most beautiful cat, but we just couldn’t do it anymore. Plus we felt like he’d be happier living somewhere like a farm or in the suburbs (we live in a major city) where he could run around and chase mice and things.

But as much of a pain in the ass he was, I miss him so much and wonder if we made the right choice. He’s now back at the shelter where we got him, and they’re a reputable shelter (no kill) and said they will find him the right home, but my heart is breaking. Just thinking about him being in that shelter and missing his home and his family.

Negative Spouse - advice?

It’s exhausting being around my wife. She’s very rarely happy with anything. She complains about everything from the weather to the service in a restaurant to being tired to not feeling like doing this or that. It’s constant.

It’s to the point where I just don’t want to be around her. I don’t want to go to dinner or vacation or anything because I know it’s just going to be her not enjoying it.

Anyone else dealing with this? Advice?

Enter Access Data error message

The below message pops up every time we get in her X3MC. Doesn't matter which key we use, whose profile is selected, etc. We've re-entered our BMW IDs & passwords multiple times now. It'll work that time, but the message pops up again the next time we start the vehicle. Any ideas?

I’ve seen other people saying to completely remove and re-add the profiles, which I’ve done and still no luck.

Second child at 45 - advice?

Second time dad here. We had our 1st at 41 and just had our second at 45. I’ll be honest, I’m freaking out a little. I obviously know how math and time works, but I guess it’s all just really sinking in that I’ll be 63 when she is 18 and to me I feel like at 63 I’m old and will have to spend a lot of my older life that was meant for enjoyment being at soccer tournaments and carting kids around. I’m in the thick of it now (newborn is 6 weeks) but I’m definitely having a little bit of “what have I done“ and also wondering, if/when this film never goes away.

Would love any tips/advice for anyone going through this or has our bond through this because I’m scared of losing myself and my identity and my future goals and dreams because I’ll be too busy with kids now.

I’m not quite sure why but one kid felt manageable and two feels like 10.

Regretting second child

I feel like a horrible father saying this but my wife and I had a second baby 6 weeks ago and I 100% regret it. We have a 3.5 year old daughter who’s perfect (in my eyes, obviously) and we have such a special bond. And life is easy. My wife and I travel, we have free time because one parent can watch our daughter, we’re on a great schedule with her going to school. It’s all dialed in

And now I feel like my life is over. I’m 45 and I keep thinking that even in 2 years we’re still going to be dealing with a baby who needs so much attention.

I just want to go back to when it was just the 3 of us. I know that’s not possible and I feel horrible for even saying this but please tell me it gets better. Does this feeling go away?
