best spot to camp overnight near Ocean Grove?

Hi! Sometime in the next few weeks I'm wanting to camp near Ocean Grove for a night before spending the Saturday visiting family in town. Any recs? I'll either sleep in a tent or my car (depending on the weather). Just wanting somewhere cheap, 2WD accessible and ideally free or inexpensive

also by near I mean within a hourish drive

Thankyou!

Advice on outgoing housemate potentially not paying rent (and more...)

I'm living in the inner west of Melbourne in a 3 person share house. On the 11th one of the housemates told us they would be moving out at the beginning of September, which then changed to next week. They said they would pay "this month's rent"- due this week- but I really doubt that they will ( for various reasons that I don't think are neccessary to share here).

The outgoing housemate told us that they had informed the agent of their intention to move but when we contacted the agency today they told us they hadn't heard anything about it. The agent said if they doesn't pay rent the agency might be able to use their bond and that they would not be releasing them from the bond or returning their payment unless a lease transfer was completed. I don't really know the legalities and logistics of that.

Would anyone here be able to advise of us on how to handle this? We are writing an email to the agent so that the situation is documented but if they don't pay rent and stops replying to messages moving forward (also likely for afforementioned reasons) how do we get them off the bond/ complete a lease transfer? Will the agent actually use their bond to cover rent or is that unlikely? Is there any way for us to recover this cost or are we just going to have to pay this persons portion of the rent until we find a new housemate?

We had no clue that they intended to move so this hasn't given us much time to find an additional housemate and we also sadly have not had many bites from FF or other housing facebook groups :(

Anorgasmia

This post is less for advice as I am taking a bit of a break from the self-work and more just out of curiousity. First time poster to this r/ so apologies if I have tagged this post incorrectly.

I have never been able to achieve orgasm, either alone or with a partner. I've done heaps of therapy, including an extremely unpleasant attempt at EMDR, without any change in my relationship to orgasm. I have been to both a pelvic physio and gyno on several occasions and they have ruled out any physical issues.

I don't have a clear memory of my experiences as a child. I remember the before and the after and where it happened, just not exactly who did it or explicitly what they did. I have gotten to a point where I have accepted I will never be able to reliably remember my experience, but I have recently been wondering if maybe my anorgasmia is due to me having had an orgasm during my childhood experiences? I know even if someone here were to reply and say "yes! That is what happened to me!" that it wouldn't necessarily mean I had the same experience. I just can't really get this question off my mind and have nowhere else to ask it!

Picking scalp (advice/ mini vent)

Hello! Any advice on how to stop picking at my scalp? It is my current area of focus and I have gone a bit overboard in the past few weeks and am in quite a lot of discomfort. I do try to keep my nails short but it doesn't seem to help. Because I've been picking so much I also have a lot of dandruff and flakes. Shampoo isn't helping get rid of them. I did have someone recommend an ACV wash but I'm worried about putting vinegar on my scalp when I have damaged skin there.

Thankyou <3

Can't stop 'evening' it out

From the start of May to mid-June I picked a scab in my left ear so repeatedly that I ended up with a pretty severe eardrum infection requiring a course of antibiotics. It was excrutiating but I very fortunately had no permanent damage.

3 weeks on and I've done the exact same thing to my right ear!!! Quite literally the exact same sequence of events as last time. I am in the process of getting an OCD diagnosis atm but this is pretty typically for me. If i have a scab on that side, I'll make sure to have one on the other. If I pull out a hair here, I have to get one there and so on. This is the most intense way it has manifested thus far though.

A few years ago my picking was at the point where it was really impacting my life (engaging in BFRB for 2-6+ hours a day, every day) and I did 2 years of CBT and talk therapy, weaned off of SSRI/SNRI* medications and managed to stop almost completely. I started taking Vyvanse this year and while it has helped me in many other ways, the skin picking is just off the charts at the moment.

I'm looking into NAC, but does anyone have any recommendations specifically around not touching my damn ears! Has anyone had a similar experience with Vyvanse and transitioned onto a different ADHD medication and had a more positive experience? I'm afraid I am going to end up doing some permanent damage.

*Nothing against SSRI/SNRI's, personally they were a massive trigger for derm and other compulsive behaviours

Could this be implantation bleeding?

*EDIT: I am really glad I posted on here because I had no idea that implantation bleeding was a myth??? How have I never heard that until now! I haven't had spotting before a period in probably 10 years and I usually start with brown discharge following by active bleeding within 12 hours so this one is just a bit different and made me feel uneasy. I have a few other life things going on so I guess this is just some kind of hormonal thingy. Thankyou!

Hi all! I added a nsfw tag because I'm going into a little bit of detail 🙂 Date of unintentionally unprotected sex was 29/06. Last night (6/07) during sex I suddenly began to bleed, enough to leave some on myself, the blanket and my partner. I assumed this was my period as I'm expecting it within the next week.

The blood was bright red and there was quite a bit of clear, viscous discharge. It was only in the morning when I realised I hadn't continued to bleed and instead just had a very small amount of brown discharge. This very light discharge continued all day and hasn't stopped as of yet. I didn't even need to use a liner for it. It doesn't have any strong odour- perhaps slightly metallic if anything?

As far as I know I don't have any stds and I do not have PCOS or any other reproductive health challenges. I do not know when I ovulated but my laast period finished around 15/06. Typical cycle is 28-36 days. I know a week is early but this would very much be an accidental pregnancy so I've been anxiously deep diving the internet all day and after some googling it sounds like it is possible? I have a doctor's appointment booked in to check but just wondering if anyone else has any experience with this?

Alternatives to Karla Laidlaw?

Hello all, as the title says I'm wondering if anyone knows of any Australian brands that have pants in similar styles to Karla Laidlaw (I particularly like the spider pants but I also like the general vibe of KL). I'm not opposed to spending a few hundred dollars on a good pair of pants, but with KLs stuff largely being made of poly/blends and being produced in China, it doesn't really seem worth the money to me!

I know that you won't find the exact same styles in a cotton or wool or other more natural fibre, just looking for something with a similar energy. I've seen that Paloma Wool has some cool stuff so perhaps from brands like them.

Thankyou!

Can anyone tell me what this intense dream means?

Hi all, I had a dream last night that my sister, Mum and I were having lunch and our aunties, both of whom have passed, were watching us but were both dressed as nuns. It wasn't creepy or scary but it felt very overwhelming in the dream. What does it mean?

question about bedroom layout

I currently have my bed in the middle of my room but am not really liking it. I want to place it against the wall at the side of the room but I know that's typically discouraged as it blocks flow- however! I have a built in wardrobe with mirrored doors in my bedroom. If I place the bed in the middle of the room it is reflected in the mirror and my feet are facing the door.

Would it be fine to put the bed in the corner of the room?

I love the movie Gattaca and regularly rewatch it. But even from my first watch, I haven't been able to help thinking "I wish they'd cut Uma Thurman's character and focused more on the brothers." Is this a common viewpoint or am I just being a hater/ missing some sort of nuance? I can't help but think that the main plot of the movie should've been Vincent and Anton's relationship, with Jerome as the B-plot and then just no romantic storyline.
