Lately I’ve had endless butterflies show up at my house whenever I open the window or open the door to take out the trash. There’s one behind my pillow now. I’ve tried to think if there’s is some anniversary or special date and can’t come up with anything. Most are monarchs and painted ladies but today I got a Peck’s skipper through my window. Why?

Hi and sorry to bother you with all of this. I’m a nurse who works with people with developmental disabilities and I recently found out that NYPD has business cards for all of their dogs with the dogs’ pictures and a list of their favorite toys and foods on them. My guys have been collecting and trading these cards as if they are baseball cards. I’m wondering if other police departments do the same and if so, how can I get a whole bunch of these cards to give to my clients (we call our patients clients)? They really like them. Thanks for your time.

You called the police, who have better things to do and called me “messy” because it was 9am and my dogs escaped while I was trying to get a delivery. Guess what? My dogs got back fine and the police, who have better things to do were super annoyed. I want to find out who you are so I can report you. Because your behavior is annoying to say the least.

Please pray for a young woman and man that we pulled into the beach and out of the ocean. The
woman was underwater for over 30 minutes. The man was in a really rough state, maybe for an hour? Please please pray for them. Im a nurse so i know that someone in the water for that long likely will not do well. But we do the best we can and ask for prayers.

Mike is looking for his lost cat. Lost on the boardwalk. Name is Starkist. A cat with largely orange body with some darker spots. Please let me know if you find a cat like this or may suspect that you have seen a cat like this.

My partner works in Seaside Heights in an emergency medical capacity. I’m not going to go into detail. I’m a nurse. In the past 10 days we had 6 people who were in the water in distress and we were only able to save 2. We are still looking at recovering the other bodies. Please pray or send good juju or whatever so we can give their families closure. One of ho has been missing for over a week is only 14. Please do whatever you can to make sure his family gets closure, I can’t even imagine how they must feel and please please don’t go into detail the water in a place you are not familiar with when there are no lifeguards on duty. These were all young people with no health issues who knew how to swim but the rip currents are insane right now and no one looks at the flags (red means do t get in). I thank you in advance for thinking of these souls. Who we can’t help even though we want to. They aren’t my kids but I do think about them every day.

Hi, new to this sub. To make a long story short, I have a close friend who I had a hard time reaching for months and couldn’t figure out why. I was worried. She reached out recently and explained that she has been extremely depressed and hasn’t been bathing or brushing her hair for months and now feels like she looks like a muppet because her hair is extremely matted. She’s embarrassed to go to a salon or anything and doesn’t want to cut her hair if possible. I got her detangling sprays from the drugstore and we had some success combing out some of the mats with those and a hair mask I found on the internet. If anyone knows of any other products that could help that would be much appreciated! (We have mostly been using our fingers and a wide tooth comb but if there is a better technique that would also be helpful)

I just wanted to thank all of these people who contribute to this sub. Not to get into it but as an example one of my patients disappeared for a full year and we filed a missing person report and everything only to find out he was found deceased and already buried in Potters Field so I appreciate anyone who looks out for the ones who haven’t been named or properly buried.
