For some calling Armand a psychopath or a narcissist, I’m not saying he’s innocent or that the things he’s done are okay. He’s done some genuinely horrible things. But you also have to look at where he comes from. He grew up in a completely different time, endured unimaginable trauma, and has had to carry those memories for centuries.

And to everyone saying, “I’d be different” or “I’d do better if I were immortal”… would you, though? Imagine living forever. After a few hundred years, how much would anything still matter? Death gives life meaning. Take that away, and eventually your perspective, your morality, and your sense of consequence would probably change too. I think people seriously underestimate what centuries of trauma and immortality would do to someone’s mind.

Guys, what’s your favorite episode so far? 😭
I genuinely can’t choose between S2E5 (“Don’t Be Afraid, Just Start the Tape”) and S3E6 (“Montreal”).
I love seeing Armand at his most unhinged because we get to dive so much deeper into his character. But I also adored Loustat in “Montreal.” It was so lovely seeing them together like that again after everything that happened in Season 1 and 2.
Ugh, I can’t decide.

It’s something I’ve been wondering about. He says that after he left Daniel in 1973, he followed him around, even tried to kill him, but ultimately found him interesting enough to let him live. Then, somewhere along the way, he fell in love with him. Obviously, “fascinating” could just be a callback since both Louis and Armand called him a “fascinating boy,” but I’m still really curious. Thanks :)

It might be a hot take but this song is peak. It might actually be the best song of his. 😭 I love how haunting it sounds and gothic in a way!
I’m still mad it’s for Gabriella because she absolutely does not deserve a song this good, but I can’t stop listening to it. It’s constantly on repeat! 😭

Guyyyys, what’s your favorite line this season?
Mine is probably Lestat’s just because it’s so funny, and Sam’s delivery absolutely kills me: “Are you enjoying this exclusive fan experience?” 😭

But Armand’s “Bad things happen to girlies who talk.” in the finale… I’M SORRY??? 😭 That line was so damn sexy. I can’t get it out of my head. 🥵

Why the heck was Daniel so angry at Lestat? I get that Lestat played him and never fully committed to the interview, but Daniel really went in on him especially in the last episode. It just felt… off? We got a pretty good sense of who Daniel is in Seasons 1 and 2, and this reaction seemed a bit out of character. Unless, of course, we’re still missing a huge piece of the puzzle because we’re only seeing everything through Lestat’s POV. That would make a lot more sense to me.

I don’t know if I should even be posting this, but fuck it. I’m YOLO-ing right now. And I need to get it out of my chest.
Am I the only one feeling this way?
I genuinely don’t enjoy going on the main subs anymore. There’s just so much negativity. It feels like some people have this weird superiority complex where they automatically dismiss your opinion no matter how many good arguments you make. And somehow it’s okay because they have a “Top 1% Commenter” badge.
Like… it’s completely fine if you disagree with me. That’s what discussions are for. But your opinion isn’t the objective truth. I also feel like people jump to conclusions way too fast about every character and every relationship in the show, acting like they already know exactly where the story is going when we haven’t even seen the whole season yet.
Sometimes it’s so exhausting being a part of a fandom.

I especially loved Louis’ existential thoughts this episode. That question he asked Lestat… what do you replace death with? It was really good and profound.

I also really liked what he said about Lestat constantly self-sabotaging. It actually makes so much sense. When you live forever and there’s no natural ending to your life, things become meaningless.

Failure can become something you chase just to feel something. Immortality sounds amazing until you really think about what an endless existence would do to your mind.

I’d honestly love for the show to lean more into the existential side of being a vampire because I think that’s one of the most interesting things about it.

the fact that Louis - the ultimate vampire capitalist - just wants to get the hell away from everyone and live in a trailer park with Lestat in the middle of nowhere. 😭 Meanwhile, with Armand they literally shared two houses together, and he was completely miserable.

And how beautiful it was to finally see Louis being completely himself (because of Lestat) in the last episode? In the first two seasons, it felt like parts of him were missing, and you could feel that in the way Jacob played him. Lestat brings out the real Louis out and it’s so beautiful to see. 😇

I really loved this line from Louis. The show is about vampires, but I actually wish it explored existentialism a bit more. It does touch on it, but not nearly enough for me.

When Louis says that perhaps chasing failure is how one makes sense of an immortal life makes so much sense. Their existence has no end, and I think that’s a much heavier burden than some might realize.

Hello, everyone! 👋 🤗 I’ve seen a lot of fans saying Daniel kept resisting Armand’s mind control and commands in the 70’s when they first met for the majority of the time, but I don’t really see it that way. Or was Armand actually waiting for Daniel to finally accept his death when he bit him, and then Louis interrupted it? I’m genuinely confused.

Yes, I can see that Daniel was terrified of Armand, but to me it seemed like Armand was mostly telling him to stand still and not do anything reckless. With Larry, on the other hand, it was a direct command to kill himself, which feels completely different to me. Am I missing something?

I love how Armand is basically the only one who’s openly against the Great Conversion because, honestly, it’s the dumbest idea imaginable. It just doesn’t make any sense to me. People can argue that the Great Laws are outdated or insane, and sure, in some ways they are, but they exist for a reason. With great power comes great responsibility, and Armand understands just how catastrophically wrong the Great Conversion could go.

Do I think his methods are manipulative and evil? Absolutely. But… aren’t all of these people awful? When you really think about it, there isn’t a single genuinely good person in this show. They’re all vampires, they’ve all done horrific things, and they’re all morally messy.

That’s why it always annoys me when everything Armand does gets reduced to “he’s evil,” while everyone else gets endless explanations for why they did what they did. Armand doesn’t do things mindlessly. Everything he does comes from something - his trauma, his need for control, his fear, his worldview. You don’t have to agree with him, but his actions make sense from his perspective. That’s exactly why I think he’s such a brilliantly written character and one of my favorite characters. He’s complicated, deeply flawed, and painfully human in ways that make him incredibly easy to relate to.

When you think about it, it’s actually so funny that out of everyone in the last episode, Armand was the one making the most sense. 😂 I love that he genuinely sees vampirism as a curse. He knows people aren’t meant to exist for eternity - we’re just not built that way. So of course he’s going to rebel against vampires taking over the world.

Cause guys, I really wanna know what Armand actually said to Lestat when he woke up before Lestat’s voice-over took over. 👀 😭 ❤️
