Combo feeding reflux baby

We are currently combo feeding (primarily breast milk) my 6 week old. For context my husbands family strongly shared their “breast is best” opinion. My baby has really bad reflux, is super fussy and colicky. I have cut out dairy, spicy foods and we switched to a gentle formula. Nothing seems to have helped. My husband and his family are quick to blame it on what i’m eating. I can’t stand the contradictory nature of preaching “breast is best” and then blaming the breastmilk immediately.
I had dairy free ice cream tonight and later the baby was spitting up a ton and having many poops. My husband’s immediate reaction was “was it not actually dairy free ice cream ?” and saying we should switch to formula only so we don’t have to keep guessing. If I stop breastfeeding I will feel like such a failure, I don’t know what to do.

Disconnected

I don’t feel connected to my baby- she is really fussy and colicky, which I think makes me not feel connected which probably increases her fussiness. I also feel somewhat scared of her because of how intensely her behaviours impact my mood.
Anyone else feel this way or have any suggestions?

Double Zip Onesies?

Does anyone else feel like they are hurting their babies leg when putting the leg back in the side that doesn’t have the zipper? I don’t know if I am doing something wrong or what.

Anyone let their baby sleep on the couch?

Did anyone let their baby sleep on the couch? She falls asleep and then I don’t want to transfer and risk waking her, however everything online says it increases risk of sids by 1000% so I feel like an awful parent for allowing her to sleep on the couch.

Sleeping??

My almost 6 week old sleeps quietly when on my chest or being held, but is so loud when sleeping in his bassinet, I don’t get it?? The doctor said newborns are noisy sleepers but why is he only noisy in the bassinet.

EI/Mat leave question

I want to take an 18 month leave with my employer but 12 month leave with EI. Would I be able to work part time (not with current employer) in between the 12-18 months if I am no longer collecting from EI?

When to apply for mat leave [on]

For context my last day of work is scheduled for June 5th and I am scheduled to be induced June 9th. Am I able to apply for EI a couple weeks before the 5th or do I have to wait until the 5th?

Induction

Scheduled my induction and they said when I arrive they will complete a non-stress test, does anyone know why they are doing an NST rather than an ultrasound? I thought I would need an ultrasound to confirm position of baby?

I covered my coworker’s maternity leave, is it weird to use the same name she did? Realistically the kids will never see each other and it is a pretty common name. It is a name that has been on my list for years and it also incorporates my dog’s name. My coworker and I also don’t work directly together.
