I bought Apple Music Premium few days ago after constantly reading that its Lossless audio was a huge upgrade over everything else and to try is it really worth the hype.

I'm listening in Hi-Res Lossless at the highest quality setting with my wired IEMs, so I was genuinely excited to compare it against my local FLAC library in Powerramp. To my surprise, Apple Music sounded more bass-heavy, but it didn't feel as refined. My FLACs through Powerramp sounded cleaner, more open, with better instrument separation and more natural vocals.

I'm not saying Apple Music sounds bad—it definitely doesn't. I was just expecting it to outperform my local FLAC playback because of all the hype, and that simply wasn't my experience...iam switching back to powerramp again😅

Anyone else had a similar experience?, or if I'm missing a setting somewhere?

Just received my Duonic Silver today, and my first impression is honestly wow.

Coming from the KZ EDX Pro, the first thing I noticed wasn't the bass—it was the clarity. Every instrument has its own space, vocals sound clean, and the overall presentation feels much more refined.

I mainly listen to A.R. Rahman, Coke Studio, Hans Zimmer, progressive electronic (RÜFÜS DU SOL, Ben Böhmer, ODESZA), and some bass-heavy tracks. I was initially worried that I should have bought the Improved Bass version, but after listening, I don't feel like I'm missing anything.

The Silver has quality bass rather than just quantity. It goes deep when the track demands it, but it never overpowers the vocals or instruments. Tracks like Innerbloom sound immersive, with great layering and separation.

Things I liked:

Excellent clarity

Great instrument separation

Controlled, deep bass

Clean vocals

Spacious presentation

Doesn't become fatiguing

Rating (first impressions): 9.5/10
