Dashboard Screen Illegible

Dashboard Screen Illegible

Hello all. 2020 owner here. Wondering if anyone has had to deal with their screen separating like the photo.

If so, what did you do? Repair? Replace?

Screen is barely legible during the day… honestly, it’s damn near worthless as of this post.
I’m intending on reaching out to Hyundai, but I’ve surpassed the 100k miles, so I’m skeptical they’ll do anything. To me, this is a manufacturing defect.

I’m open to replacing it with an aftermarket, but with it essentially being the heart of the car, I’m skeptical if that’s the right path.

Any insight from the community is appreciated. Thank you.

CO Business Trip Haul

Much gratitude to 2nd and Charles in the Denver market. Picked up everything there, minus Rise of The Red Blade - that was picked up before heading out, which I started on while out there.

One book I wish I would have grabbed was Splinter of the Minds eye. Meant to go back and get it, but never had the chance.

If you find yourself in Denver, check these guys out - three different locations, all with a plethora of goodies.

Love my book mark - This is the Way.

Canon Recommendations?

Hey everyone! On a business trip in CO and found these in a used book store. Any recommendations from the community on canon books?

Also, side note - anyone read the Jango Fett comic?

Edge of the Abyss

In case there are some in the community who haven’t ordered it yet, wanted to share that Goldsboro still has stock for the signed special edition version. Inkstone did half Goldsboro’s batch, which would help explain why they’re sold out.

US (SoCal) based

Afternoon to the community. I stumbled here while looking for something for my wife. I buy everything lingerie/under garment wise for her, but my experience is based around Victoria Secret and when we were younger, Frederick’s.

Through browsing, I see a lot of vendors/sites appear to be based in Europe. Primarily wondering two things right now:
* anyone familiar with reputable brands in the US? Even better if they have store fronts in Southern California
* In general, is there a significant jump in quality going from the big box stores (VS) to smaller chains? For my own education, how do you measure quality brand to brand?

Not opposed to spending on my better half, but I was definitely surprised when I saw prices for some boutiques in the EU online. Any guidance is appreciated. Thank you everyone.

So I did a thing

On sale at Target, $449.99.

Curious how I’ll blend these with my APP’s. After a few business trips ago the APP’s were hurting my ears, hoping these work out

Doing the good work

Got to meet Delia Rhodes (she gave permission to share her name) Right outside the convention center doing the people’s work. Keep up the good work! Always ignore these divisive clowns - happy to bump into Delia

Small haul - SDCC

Already preordered Legacy, so I didn’t grab it here. Though the LE slip jacket looks awesome, and the author gave a great panel.
Picked up this Mando and Grogu comic from Papercutz and had Delilah Dawson autograph it, as well as this Visions manga from Viz.
For the older readers/fans/parents - creators of Phineas and Ferb are coming out with a new comic series next year - in time for the SW 50th as well as their own 20th anniversary. Premise in a nutshell is they will all be background characters instead of the main protagonist’s, and follow them around. Ex: when Han shot Greedo, they’d be at the bar watching, and you’d see the experience from their POV.

Anyone see anything yet for authors or professionals? Just ran through High Republic authors and didn’t get any hits back :(

Galaxy’s Edge

Walked into a local used book store today for giggles and game across this for $5. Didn’t even know this was a thing! Love Batuu, so this is a welcome addition to the collection.

Hey everyone. Visiting for business. I’ve been to Mr Friendly’s and Di vino Russo so far. Here one more night and wondering what’s a good place for some pasta, steak or just local favorites.

TYSM

Edit, typo in heading, but I can’t edit it. DINNER suggestions. Haha

Hot take: Audiobooks are not books

I commend those who enjoy them, I’ve personally never been able to get into them.

Looking to have a friendly debate - Audiobooks are not books.

They’re stories that bring people joy. This is no different than the person who watches TV to go to sleep, watches a movie or listens to a song (a story by the musician). All stories.

I would argue a book is a written word, sequence of words that tell a story. Personally, a printed, bound book that also gives the tactile feel while reading. By loose extension, electronic books count.

This came to mind as I’ve read folks talking about their audiobook collections. I’m happy folks are enjoying their collections, but is it any different than listening to a folk or rock song that tells a story?

STEM focused grade school

Hey everyone, question for the community:

Is anyone familiar with a strong STEM focused school for K-5th (or 8th)?

I have a 5yo who will be entering K this August, but I have some reservations about the school he will be attending challenging him (a private catholic school near Mission Valley).

For context, my kiddo can read and write at a K-1 grade level, currently doing written and mental math that floors us as parents - addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Just now starting to learn about fractions.

Having not grown up here, not familiar with all the schools and our other kids all went the catholic school route. Nothing wrong with that system, but I’m skeptical how challenging it will be.

When I showed videos of to the incoming school, their jaws dropped, but are adamant they do not promote skipping grades.

Any help or guidance is appreciated. Thank you!

Pro 3 vs Max 2

Considering buying the new Max 2’s for work and relaxing. Already own the Pro 3’s. Anyone have both that can comment if they’re happy with the splurge?

Rant: I get Jedi Master selling out (too rich for my blood since I’m going with wife). But how do you sell out of the four day pass… yet you can buy the four days individually?? That makes zero sense and is a pure money grab at the expense of the attendees.
It’s essentially two tiers of four day passes, where the majority of folks get bent over a barrel.
Doesn’t make any sense to me.
In reality, the four day pass shouldn’t exist. If you select all four days, then boom, that’s what you get. If you want to cherry pick fewer days, that’s fine as well.

End rant.

Hitting up Star Wars nites for the first time tomorrow. Can anyone advise where and when to pick up the event credential and map? Is it at the entrance or maybe guest services?
