I’m a 29-year-old vocalist from Italy, and I’m starting an online Funeral Doom / Death Metal project.

My vocal style combines deep growls with baritone singing inspired by traditional vesperal chants. To bring this vision to life, I’m looking for musicians who love to experiment, but most importantly, people who want to bond as friends and have fun making music together.

Ages 20 to 40.

Specifically, I am looking for:

A bassist who plays fretless (to add that fluid, dark atmosphere typical of the genre).

Multi-instrumentalists and folk/ancient musicians: I’m looking for unconventional sounds for the genre (historical, traditional, or acoustic instruments) to enrich the overall atmosphere.

​I’m currently working on a Funeral Doom/Death project with a highly unorthodox approach. The core foundation and classical instrumentation are already fully covered, but I feel like we are missing a disruptive, unique element.

​I’m looking for a musician who is eager to experiment, someone who isn’t afraid to push boundaries and wants to bring unusual sounds into the genre. I am particularly interested in anyone playing folk instruments, traditional/ethnic instruments, or basically anything outside the box (rare string instruments, ancient woodwinds, atypical percussion, etc.).

​I’m aiming for gothic, dark atmospheres with heavy use of reverb and delay. Think slow tempos and long tracks featuring melodic solos.

​As for vocals, I am a baritone and plan to use a mix of deep guttural growls and clean sections inspired by Gregorian chants.

​Themes & Lyrics

​I want to steer clear of violence or "splatter" tropes. My lyrics focus on introspective and dreamlike themes, often drawing inspiration from mythology.

Note: No religious-themed lyrics.

​Visuals & Commitment

​I can handle the production of music videos; I enjoy working with high-contrast, black-and-white aesthetics.

​Finally, I want this to be a healthy hobby where everyone respects each other's time and outside commitments. However, no ghosting, please. I value clear communication.

Più che semplici musicisti, cerco persone. Credo fermamente che senza amicizia non possa esistere la vera arte.

Sinergia e Connessione: Voglio creare un gruppo di amici che vogliano parlare, stringere legami e condividere idee. La musica è l'elemento unificante, ma la relazione umana è il fondamento.

😶‍🌫️ Niente Ghosting: Cerco persone affidabili. Anche se procediamo a un ritmo lento, la comunicazione è essenziale. Ho bisogno di persone che vogliano essere presenti, non di quelle che spariscono nel nulla.

🎹 RUOLI E STRUMENTAZIONE

Il progetto è aperto a chiunque senta una connessione con queste atmosfere. Non mi limito agli strumenti metal tradizionali:

IL CUORE DEL VUOTO (Batteria): Ho bisogno di un batterista che comprenda veramente l'essenza ritualistica del genere. Non cerco velocità, cerco peso. Ogni battito deve essere come un pilastro. Cerco riverberi lunghi, piatti scuri che svaniscono nel nulla e rullanti profondi che echeggiano nel vuoto.

ARCHI E DISTORSIONE: Chitarre monolitiche e bassisti tellurici che comprendono la potenza di un accordo sostenuto.

STRUMENTI NON CONVENZIONALI:

Archi, fiati, sintetizzatori analogici, sound design o droni. Se sai manipolare il suono per costruire muri sonori spettrali e cinematografici, sei il benvenuto.

REGISTRAZIONE CASALINGA: Lavoreremo da remoto, quindi dovresti essere in grado di registrare le tue tracce (acustiche o digitali di alta qualità) purché l'atmosfera rimanga organica e potente.

🎥 ESTETICA E TEMI

Temi: Introspezione, Natura, Mitologia e Nichilismo. Assolutamente vietati temi violenti o macabri.

📹 Aspetto visivo: Mi occuperò personalmente della produzione video, concentrandomi su un'estetica in bianco e nero, giocando con saturazione, illuminazione e mistero per dare alla nostra musica un'aura cinematografica.
