Rajasthani henna

Hi everyone! I'm tempted to re-dye my hair with henna but this time with Rajasthani henna! I can see that some people get more of a burgundy tone with it while others get more of a deeper, wine red? I'm confused why exactly is that? I definitely don't want burgundy hair. I prefer wine red! :)

Safety concerns

I ordered the kit and did the test yesterday, but on the same day I came across a video exposing 23andme "shortcomings". Was it a sign? I'm not sure, but my parcel is still with me at home. I am unsure what to do? I certainly wouldn't want my dna to come in the wrong hands and this has been an issue with 23andme before..

Fortified foods and soy products?

Hello, what type of comt doesn't work well with soy products and fortified foods? Is vitamin b 12 in food that has been fortified "bad" for people with, let's say, a slow comt? I'm just curious.

23andme does not offer comt testing?

Hi everyone! I believe I have a slow comt, but I want to get tested to prove it to myself. I was about to get 23andme testing done, but they told me it won't tell me what's my comt like so I'm confused and not sure which other provider to use. I'm in the uk!

Slow comt and tinctures for relaxation?

Hi, I am trying to see what might work for me and what doesn't.

After a terrible overdose on vitamin b, most likely from a high dose of vitamin b 12 my nervous system has been very disregulated! Easily anxious and in a panic mode too quickly.

Seeing a therapist for my ptds symptoms and meditating, but would like to help myself through proper nutrition and perhaps herbal supplements like lemon balm, passion flower, verbena officinalist, valerian root etc.

Any experiance using tinctures in a safe way when you have slow comt?

Many thanks in advance!

Results?

Hi everyone! I am new to meditation. I try to practise every day. I am currently using short guided meditation so I can get into it a bit "easier".

I was wondering when did you notice that your practise was improving / improved and you could sit for longer and when did you notice you were less reactive to things happening around you?

Also, what tips would you give to a newbie? I tried meditating in the past, but gave up too easily.

This time I plan to practise every day!

P.s any great books and recs regarding meditation are welcome!

Thanks for the help!

Henna and indigo newbie

Hi everyone! Suddenly I have a strong urge to have black hair. Lol

I have two henna bags at home, but no indigo.

I was wondering if buying Black henna from Rainbow or Light mountain would give me a desired dark shade or do I have to get Indigo and mix it myself? The ingredients are only henna and indigo so no fillers!

What is the quickest way for a busy young mom?

BAQ HENNA RAJASTHANI OR "NORMAL" HENNA?

Hi, I've dye'd my hair with henna last year. It was mahogany henna with only one additive. It faded quite a bit so now my hair is brown with hints of dark copper in the sun! Thinking about using henna before summer, but not sure which one of the types above? I've heard that Raja Henna gives a richer red and normal henna more of an orange pigment?

I feel hopeless and desperate..

I developed anxiety after a traumatic experiance in 2014 which I never properly addressed. For years I was too sensitive, too reactive in arguments..My adrenaline must have went up and down so many times.

I also want to mention double checking the door at night nearly every night when we moved into our new flat. It is a safe area but having a double door I just didn't feel safe. I would jump at the slightest sound.

Of course if I could go back I would slap myself for the unecessary stress I caused myself.

I just didn't look after my body the way I should have so this is the way my body is having its revenge on me I guess..

Last year I also had a horrible experience with vitamin b supplements. The dose was simply too high. When I used a lower dose in the past I was fine, but with that brand and the one I used before, I seemed to have experianced issues. Even with the previous ones when I took it at nighttime, it would disrupt my sleep.

It gave me too much energy so at night time that is when I started to experiance adrenaline rushes that gave me horrible panic attacks. One particular time I also thought that was the "end" for me so I stored more stress from another traumatic experience in my body.

Now I am often easily startled during the day and feel like I have ptsd-like symptoms. I get panicky if I get scared. I need my bf around for constant reassurance. Basically I'm like a child again.

At nighttime is when I feel the worst as I suffer from adrenaline rushes. They seem to happen at the exact times nearly every day between 1 am and 2 am. They scare me, but the more scared I am the worse they get.

There are beautiful times when I feel calm during the day so my nights are less "adrenalised", but lately I suppose I've been too tense.

Does anyone know how to deal with these adrenaline rushes and how to overcome them? I am quite hopeless. I requested therapy, but they told me I might have to wait 12 weeks to talk to someone from Talking therapies (I've heard some people weren't happy with them)! It is simply ridiculous. My sleep is being disrupted and I am scared during the day, even to be alone sometimes.

At night after a rush I am sometimes too wired to fall asleep so it takes me hours. My quality of life is simply poor and I desperately want help and to get better!

Please any advice is more than welcome! Herbal supplements, remedies anything is welcome!

Currently I do somatic exercises before bed, I go on my usual walks, I try to be as relaxed as I can during the day. I will start doing yoga again too. I don't take anything for relaxation, but I would rather take herbal things over the harsh medication if I could choose. I am scared of side effects more than ever before after a bad experiance with the vitamins.

I will eventually probably go back to private therapy because the idea of waiting 12 weeks is absurd, but right now any help is welcome and appreciated!
