2 QuarterMaster quarters in one box...but it was much crazier than that!

Not sure I've ever found 2 of the QM quarters in one box...There were also 19 silvers!! And a Tallgrass Prairie W and a lovely Lowell toner.

I average maybe 1 or 2 silver quarters per year out of dozens of boxes, so this all from one box of vendor coins is just totally nuts.

I went back to the Chase bank where I got them to see if they had any other boxes with the same date stamp, no luck there. But also, no complaints!

The "X ON OCEAN" is actually a duplicate for me. I have a pretty large collection of QM quarters all found in the wild over the years. I'm also especially honored to be on the actual Quarter Notes mailing list!

The most insane box of Loomis quarters ever - 19 silver, 1 W, 1 toner, 2 QuarterMaster

I still average maybe 1 or 2 silver quarters per year out of dozens of boxes, so this all from one box of vendor coins is just nuts. I went back to the Chase bank where I got them to see if they had any other boxes with the same date stamp, no luck there. But also, no complaints!

A beautiful day at Balmar Park today

Perfect weather! Saw even more stuff while I was there...saw a couple of Gartersnakes taking in the sun, bunches of turtles and giant carp, someone doing a beautiful photo shoot for maybe someone's Quinceañera, and spotted a Peregrine falcon.

From the enigma himself - Happy Semiquincentennial!!! "SQC"

Just wanted to share the love...A very special envolope from the QuarterMaster himself yesterday in honor of both the 250th and of course, counterstamps :-)

If you're lucky enough to find one of these in circulation you'll have something very special indeed.

SQC - Notice the hidden "C"? Can you figure it out?

Palisade Bing and Rainier are back...peaches coming soon...

The Rainier are excellent, but the Bings are even better :-)

Publicly testing some of my error diagnostical skills. Both were pulled from bank rolls (Loomis) during the last couple of months. Sent them off to ANACS for authentication at the Denver Coin Expo last weekend...Will post the results when I get them back.

I have a growing collection of improperly annealed specimens I've sent off for authentication. Not sure what the appeal is, but I find them...viceral and soothing somehow :-)

Got something in the mail recently that made it a VERY special day!! A welcome letter and the first QuarterMaster quarter I've ever gotten that I didn't find in the wild! And most thoughtfully, a Colorado quarter for me :-)

For years I've been posting his counterstamped quarters I've found in the wild here in the Denver area during CRHing. Here and there they have also shown up via folks posting their QM finds here on reddit and wondering what they found.

Years ago I was informed about his QuarterNotes mailing list and mentioned to plenty of folks in the coin collecting realm how much I would love to make my way onto that mailing list...

No idea how I finally made it on to the list or how the enigmatic QuarterMaster actually got my contact info (ok, I have a few ideas lol) but it just doesn't matter because this makes me feel like a kid who just got their first 1909 VDB, or bicycle, or puppy lol.

Coins have brought so much joy and learning into my life since the 1970's and these counterstamped gems with little mysteries/riddles to figure out have brought even more pleasure to one of my favorite coin activities, coin roll hunting.

I've been told I may just have one of the largest collections of these quarters (all found in the wild!) and here's an old thread with a bunch of the ones I've found, I still add to it when I find the occasional QuarterMaster quarter - https://www.cointalk.com/threads/cul-de-sac.399493/

I'm deeply honored to now be a genuine part of the QuarterNotes Family.
Thank you to the honorable QuarterMaster for bringing me in.
I just wanted to share the love and excitement (and mystery) with everyone!
