[Seiko] Just caught the light just right on this 1970s Seiko LM Special (5216-8020). That brown linen/brushed dial texture is mesmerizing up close!

This LM Special variants housed the sophisticated 52xx series high-beat calibers (28,800 bph) from Daini Seikosha. This specific one runs on the 5216 automatic movement, featuring a hacking function, hand-winding, and a robust day/date quickset mechanism. The dial is designed with deep chocolate and a subtle linen brushed finish that shifts completely depending on the angle of the light.

Macro photography really does justice to how well Seiko finished their mid-tier pieces back then. The applied indices and hands catch the light like a miniature Grand Seiko.
