trying Hybrid Triple Therapy that lessens side effects. You take 1g Amoxicillin twice daily for 5 days, then 1g Amoxicillin and Clarithromycin 1g daily for the next 7 days. This is with a daily 40mg PPI. Case studies have shown an efficacy of 93% comparable to 14 day regiments, with a Hybrid Triple Therapy 12 day regiment, where the harsh side effects of Clarithromycin are reduced. So July 14 will be my HPylori test, will keep you all posted. I am on Day 8 of 12.

so far side effects is extreme hunger feeling, bathroom urgency but no diarrhea, random naussea, and metallic bitter taste. nothing else.

im scared of the clarithromycin. can anyone else share their experience with it? im very hesitatant to take it. was prescribed the dual therapy high dose and continue taking my PPI like i have my whole life. im going to talk to my doctor too but what are your thoughts? is it going to kill me because i googled and it was a horror show
