Anandam is such a fresh and wholesome film. Everyone talks about DSP music and Srinu Vaitla's debut, which I also loved. Besides that there's also Chintapalli Ramana garu whose dialogues felt natural and colloquial. And I was awestruck when I came to know that most of our memes are the dialogues of this man. We need to celebrate him more.

This happened a few months ago when I was regularly going to jog in a park near my home. As usual I buckled up my shoes and reached the park to start my day.

I jogged for quite a while and to keep the momentum up, I slowly converted that jog into a brisk walk after two rounds. After completing one round of brisk walk, I was tired and panting. So I eventually stopped and bent forward to release more air and was moving my hands sidewise. Just then a middle aged man around 45-50 years passed by my side.

He looked at me and passed. After some steps he stopped. He turned back and looked at me again. I was still panting and was about to get up. He then came back patted on my shoulder and asked me "what happened young man, are you alright?" I said "yes I'm good, just tired." 

​

He then said, " I come here every day, not so long ago one of my friends suffered from a heart stroke and collapsed on the ground. I thought you were feeling uncomfortable. So just checking on you"

​

​

I was taken aback by his concern for me. I told him I'm fine nothing like that and thanked him. I inquired about his friend and he said he's fine. He offered me some water, I took it and thanked him again before we both went on with our lives. 

​

These incidents restore faith in humanity and prove me wrong whatever I see on SM. I'm not saying there isn't any bad but I want to reiterate "The world is not as bad as it is shown in social media"

After sometime I looked at a blazer and told my cousin "Bava ki idhi baguntundhi choodu". She looked at it and told me it's too long for him so search for the next size. It was going good until then.

Then I said "Aayana ki bagane untundhi okkasari trail veskoni rammani cheppu". She got offended when I addressed him "aayana" and told me if people refer to someone as aavida or aayana it's more like mocking them or sarcastically addressing them than respecting and added it's fine to address someone as aavida or aayana for elderly "strangers" but not elders of the family. If you want to address elders of the family call them babai/pinni/pednanna/pedamma etc.

I was dumbfounded and asked my friends if they ever found themselves in these circumstances. Some people brushed it away saying it's rubbish and saying "pedhollu aithe intlo vallani aina bayata vallani aina aavida aayana anochu" but some people talked like my cousin.

I planned to go to Nandi hills with my friends yesterday, a couple of days ago. Last night he called me and said he is not comina (classic friends being friends). But I was stubborn and decided to go alone. When I woke up and saw outside it was raining cats and dogs. I eventually gave up and went back to sleep.

​

I woke up in the morning and decided to go to a movie, as I heard the talk was good for Backrooms and the seats were also available, I booked the tickets and rode to the theatre. The film worked for me in parts but wasn't worth the money. So I rode back home and was flipping through the OTT apps to watch a good film and saw 29. The reviews were good for that film in Letterboxd and thought of giving it a try. By the end of the film I felt the same as the other film which I watched in the morning.

I put my clothes in the washing machine and went upstairs to dry them. The moment I put my clothes in the basket and stepped out it started to drizzle out of nowhere (classic Bengaluru weather).

​

As I didn't have my lunch I was starving. Now the drizzle turned into a rain and unfortunately the food delivery apps were not accepting the orders. However after the rain stopped I thought of going out and having something. I stepped out and reached Dominos. As I was about to cross the road a guy in his bike rode swiftly before me and the water sprinkled on my legs. I simply smiled at myself and entered the shop. When I was about to give the order he said "place the order through the app". Frustrated, I sat on the table and tried installing the app but the signal wasn't there so I stepped out and installed the app. Now I was ready to place the order, selected the items and when I was about to pay it displayed "the items are unavailable". I went into the store and showed the boy. He was helpless and so was I. I came out and went to KFC.

The moment I stepped in not only the restaurant but also the order kiosk was crowded. I patiently waited in the queue and placed the order. It was a sigh of relief. I went and sat on a chair waiting for my number. 20 minutes passed but my number wasn't called. My next member got his order but not me. So I went and asked the guy what the matter was. To add fuel to the fire he said he didn't receive the order. I kept my calm and showed my order slip. He checked and gave the order in the next 15 minutes.

What looked like a 30 minute task took 2 hours to feed my starving stomach.
