Fallout stuttering / slowing down (PC)

For the last week or so (may be since Tuesday) my Fallout started slowing down / stuttering.

Last time it happened after Bethesda introduced the code which messed up HUD mods. Updating mods resolved the problem.

This time however updating HUD mods didn't help. I tried turning them off but the issue is persistent (although I have an impression it is slightly better than with mods).

Is anyone experiencing the same issue?

Vegetarians and vegans should consume bivalves (clams, mussels, oysters, scallops).

I know this is not a wildly unpopular take in the sense that it’s not taboo or particularly offensive. But I have yet to encounter a compelling reason against the statement I make above. To be clear, I respect vegetarians/vegans (despite some claiming that they’re smug).

They’re making an intentional choice to not consume animals/animal protein for a combination of three respectable reasons:

  1. Animal cruelty.
  2. Nutrition.
  3. Sustainability.

Yet with bivalves, we have a solution that checks all those boxes based on first principles.

  1. There is little evidence that bivalves possess anything resembling conscious suffering comparable to vertebrates (as they don’t have what we’d classify as brains). That doesn’t mean they don’t feel anything, but all living things ultimately have senses. Everything we consume, even as vegans, is or was once living (unless you’re hardcore nuts and fruits only). Plants and fungi are certainly alive.
  2. Nutritionally speaking, bivalves are quite healthy. They are lean proteins that are robust in micronutrients (in part because you’re eating the entire organism). In fact, they have many micronutrients that are not as easily found in non-animal sources. They also don’t have much saturated fat, which is thought to contribute to higher cholesterol levels, and is one of the main critiques of animal protein consumption from a nutritional standpoint.
  3. From a sustainability standpoint, they are incredibly abundant and predominantly featured on the Monterey Bay Aquarium seafood watch’s safe list. They’re both easy to catch and easy to farm. Although I’m not a marine biologist, oysters have been shown to benefit ecosystems by functioning like “kidneys” for the ocean.

All in all, I’m optimistic this is an unconventional take we can actually all agree on. When I bring up this idea with vegans/vegetarians I personally know, they disagree with me but don’t state why. I believe it’s because of a strict adherence to superficial categorical distinctions that ultimately does not survive underlying first principles scrutiny. I welcome critique of any of the points I just laid out.

Why I am not buying at YOUR vendor

The easiest answer would be "I cannot bloody find it" but that would be a trivialisation of such complex situation. At the end of the day, there is a variety of vendors I tend to keep away from. Let's try to split this complex issue into it component parts and list them!

  1. "Grenade exploded in the rubbish heap" camps.

I know, you are so proud of your 150 plushies, 56 and 3/4 of wall decorations, your 28 power armors, your 32 fastnach masks, your all kinds of nuka cola, guns, outfits, sculptures that you MUST, just MUST show them to all the other players who are able to craft the same. It is stronger than you. You can't stop yourself.

But as your vendor is dug in, deep between all your rubbish on display and difficult to find, I am not buying at yours. Too bad.

  1. "As bright as inside of the Mothman anus" camps.

You bought yourself a weather machine making your camp continously dark. You think your Mothman/skeletons/Halloween collection is the best displayed in the complete darkness so nobody can see it.

Good for you, you are probably right. But since I cannot see your vendor, I am not buying. Let the power of bright street lamps be with you.

  1. "See my beautiful decor on all the floors" camp.

You built this great building using your newly acquired Atom shop kit. Or just a prefab. Either way you want everyone to see each floor and appreciate your hard work. There is no better way than placing your vendor inside, preferably on the top floor.

But since I cannot see your vendor after fast travelling and having a quick glance around, I am not buying, sorry. I may turn few lights off on my way out if I spent too much time looking.

  1. "Everyone, I am a TRADER" camp.

You secured this nice spot in Whitespring and the rent is horrendous. Additionally you have your targets - daily, weekly, return on investment. You must push these prices up. Higher. Even higher. Still higher.

But since your 3* old mod cost more than 5k, I am not buying. Wait for a different sucker or even better - go bankrupt.

Have I missed any type of camp?

Whitespring players vendors

No idea why, but every fucking time I visit a vendor located close to the Whitespring, their prices are ridiculous.

Every time. Scrip value guns priced between 3k and 12k ffs!

I don't know, does this location attract some "special" kind of people?

Infestations - locations

Is there a list of locations or at least regions which are going to be affected by infestations?

I am wondering if there is a new reason to explore Skyline Valley.
