I've been trying for months to bypass the xiaomi community permission things and finally I have reached a milestone. Read most of the discussions from r/androidroot and r/hyperos. Now I only have to wait 360 hours(sadly) to win freedom over my phone 😭.
My plan is to flash orangefox and Evolution X(Android 16).

I have pw5 with 5.19.2 and I jailbroken it with Springbreak. I have now disabled ota updates.
The thing is that I need to downgrade my kindle to 5.16.4 as it was smooth and had a nice ui finishing to it. I have heard that Amazon has tightened the bootloader so that it won't downgrade below 5.18.4. Did anyone literally tried the same thing?

I have a Redmi Note 11 (India) running on hyperos 1.0.6.xx. I want to jailbreak it with hypersploit.
1:Do I really need to turn off find my device from Google as well as the xiaomi cloud?
2:Even if I root this, will Google find hub work on my phone? I know that xiaomi find device won't work from then on.
3:If I go back to the stock rom after rooting,after 1year will my bootloader be locked again?
This is my kindle PW4 and is updated to 5.19.2. I had been using it for 4 years and it already starts having some screen issues. As you can see in the images we can see the previous page still displayed on the screen. Also after a long time of usage I found a greyish white colour shade at the corners.
I am tired of the slow, old, boring UI of Amazon. I wanted to jailbreak it but damn it got auto updated itself without my consent! I hate this. I wish jailbreak will release soon before any more Amazon updates
I want to get ready for SpringBreak and i want to prevent future OTA updates. Since I don't have enough books and docs to fill 16GB , I want some suggestions. My kindle PW4 when i try to keep a large file , it automatically deletes as its incompatible. Any suggestsions will be taken!
Is 5.18.5.0.1 still the hard ceiling for the latest jailbreaks? I see some conflicting info on MobileRead and here about whether 5.19.2 is 'unjailbreakable' for the foreseeable future. If anyone has inside info on which devs are currently looking into the new hard-float architecture changes, I’d love to hear it before I give up and just register the device. Or are they waiting to develop for all kindle firmwares?
I'm curious how many of you actually use the email method versus the desktop app or the web uploader. Does the email method still reliably convert files, or is it prone to formatting issues? I'm looking for the most seamless way to send long-form articles and personal docs without needing a USB cable or send to kindle website.
The ultimate 'Look but don't touch' experience. Why does Amazon have a multi-step payment portal for a service they won't actually let you pay for on the app? Is there a secret handshake I'm missing, or is this just classic UI design?
