my doctor perscribed me teva-mometasone for my skin. i foolishly stopped using it 1.5 weeks in, thinking the skin looked and felt fine again. but a few days later it started becoming red again but it wasnt itchy and wasnt as bad as it was orginally.
fast forward to 3 weeks later. i was working in the salt water and it made that same exact spot flare up. bright red, raised bumps and super itchy.
i was wondering if its okay to restart the use of the steroid ointment? i know it causes thinning and i was advised by my doctor to not use it over 2 weeks.
i was wondering if there are any good fishing opportunities right now that doesn't involve a boat. going to be staying around Sechelt but i don't mind driving out further.
i am going to be bringing my paddleboard, spinning rod and also fly rod.
any good lakes or river systems?
any tips are also welcomed. thank you!
I want to try to fish Sasamat at first light. is this a productive lake? and what flies/lures are good?
are there any creeks or streams that flow into the lake? i can't seem to find any maps that show any connecting streams.
what are the best shore fishing spots for first light?
when should i be using each? and how should i determine what IPS i should get?
i see online they recommend sink tips for heavy currents
but my question is why we couldn't use a heavier poly leader for that type of water as well?
i was wondering if cheakamus river is good for fishing in the summer right now. any tips for this river? what can i expect right now?
what type of rigs you guys recommend for spinning. and what type of flies to use for fly fishing?
any access points that is more friendly to people with no waders?
any other river systems in the area that you guys recommend?
as a side question. i'm a beginner fly fisher, im a bit confused on if i would need a sink tip line or just a sinking poly leader for this river?
or are there opportunities on this river to use dry flies on floating line?
i was practicing casting for the first time and i couldn't seem to get the the leader line to lay out straight on the water. it always straightens for 2 feet and then bunches up.
how can i fix this? or is my 6weight not good for dry flies?

i just arrived to the skagit valley park. and they just posted today it's closed due to wildfire danger. do you guys have any other suggestions nearby for fishing?
i also spoke with a lady that was coming out from the park and back in. she was saying there are still plenty of people camping.
should i just go in?
I am planning to head down to the Skagit river for the first time this weekend. is there any tips you guys could share about this fishery?
im planning on bringing a spinning rod and a fly rod. what sort of lures/flies should i use? and whats the approach? this will be the first time I've ever done river fishing in general so any tips will be welcomed.
Would a 6 weight fly rod work?
i was wondering if it will be fine using a size 7/8 reel on a 5 weight rod. while still loading only 5 weight fly line onto the reel.
would i need to add extra backing to fill up the space or should i leave it underspooled?
im completely new to fly fishing and im looking into getting my first rod/reel
i went to my local stocked rainbow trout pond and didn't get any bites but saw a couple rises.
I went around 7 PM as the sun was coming down and casting shadows on parts of the ponds. used a float rig with a 1/16th jighead on a powerbait pink trout worm (garlic flavoured). and also a carolina rig with a powerbait floating nugget. i couldn't get a feel for any bites on either rigs
am i suppose to jig the float a little?
am i suppose to slow retrieve or let the carolina rig sit?
any tips?
is the zero 119 any good?
i have a travel pack rod for 1.2 to 7g lure weights. looking to pair a budget reel with it for trout fishing.
i was wondering if a willow leaf and wedding ring would work for Kokanee and trout right now.
what colours should i use for a bright summer day?
and how deep should i target when trolling along the eastern shore (how much weight and length should i let out?)
how much weight do i need to troll for the depths that trout and kokanee hold at? im gojng to be using a snap weight.
also what setups work well? and what colours to use for a sunny day.
does jigging work? if so, what would i use?
i was wondering what are the top ways you guys fish for trout/bass with bfs?
