I want to make one! Yes, really! Where should I start?

I have a ton of experience in digital media, production, art, design, and I’m incredibly tech savvy. I understand code, but I can’t write it. Anyone who’s made a game have some tips for the best place to begin this journey, and to start learning? Courses, YouTube videos, tutorials, anything to help me take the first steps?

Thank you for any advice!

When things are so bad that your message is, “Yeah it’s bad and we made it bad, but it could be even worse!”

Foreigners, have you ever confronted, or been tempted to confront, other foreigners about their volume levels in public spaces?

I'm genuinely curious. Today I was in a cafe and a guy was talking just insanely, unbelievably., infuriatingly loud on a video call. He had giant noise-canceling headphones on and was near-screaming for almost 3 straight hours. The Thai people around him were miserable and visibly irritated. The staff at the cafe all put on headphones and looked so defeated.

Maybe it’s naïve of me, but I felt some sort of obligation to confront the guy—but I know how these things go. I probably would’ve gotten screamed at myself, or punched in the face, or ended up going viral for all the wrong reasons by someone recording.

Have you ever confronted someone, or been tempted to? Let me know your thoughts, I really want to know.

True has never been that great for reliability, but recently my home broadband goes out at least once a day if not more.

I get the text that says, “Currently, the internet number, landline and Truevisions are down. We are accelerating to fix it. It is expected to be completed on… to continue using the internet. True would like to give you 10GB mobile internet for 3 days for free. Sorry for the inconvenience.”

But the problem is, I’m very high up in a condo and my cell data sucks this high.

It’s getting really annoying. It shouldn’t go down this much, no? I’ve been here almost 2 years and it’s never been this bad. Anything I can do? Suggestions?

Absolute cheapest phone plan for receiving SMS text only?

I want an actual number I can keep myself forever, so I don’t want to use a throwaway service or VOIP. I don’t need to make calls, and I don’t need a data plan of any kind, but I will need to be able to receive two factor authentication codes. Ideas? Thanks!

Need to access one tiny file I need on a Mac disk image sparsebundle on my Google Drive, but it won't download, and I don't have the 2TB needed on my local drive.

A while ago I made a backup of my Mac hard drive as a disk image and I tossed it on my Google Drive. Now, many months later, I realized there's one file that I need from inside that disk image. The problem is that the image is 2 TB. I tried downloading to an external drive, but Google Drive does this annoying thing where it tries to zip the whole file before downloading. It gets like 10% done and then bails and says the file can't be downloaded because there is an error.

I would just sync it using Google Drive for desktop with my Mac or PC, but neither one has the amount of space needed. My Mac has 500 GB free and my PC has about 1 GB free. I've tried mounting the image without downloading the whole thing, but that doesn't seem to work. I borrowed a friend's external SSD that was big enough, but Google Drive desktop doesn't let you set the cache destination to an external SSD to utilize the "Make available offline" feature from Google Drive for desktop.

Can anyone think of any way whatsoever that I can get this disk image downloaded somewhere, opened, and I can retrieve the file I need without doing a costly hard drive upgrade or anything like that? Or a different approach to view the files, or mount it?

An absolute creep-fest. A gorgeous fright. I’d put Bramble up there with Silent Hill and Resident Evil.

I just finished this masterpiece of a game! It breaks my heart that something so delightful, disturbing, beautiful, and quality doesn't get the attention of the massive mainstream releases. I've played every Silent Hill game. I've played every Resident Evil. Bramble: The Mountain King creeped me out just as much, if not more, than the OG of horror games.

I beg you, if you are a fan of the macabre, don't sleep on this one. It's well worth your time. What an absolute gem of terror.

Do you think reordering the grid will ever actually happen? Or is that dead in the water?

I know they were testing it with a bunch of users, but I wasn’t one of the lucky ones. Do you think it will ever become a public feature, or at this point, do you think it’s dead?
