Promoted my Scout and was amused by the aftermath to my notifications

For the record I upgraded to PS5 version of DRG and none of my achievements came with me. I thought the achievement spam from the promotion was funny. Mostly because I completely forgot lol

What areas should I avoid when exploring?

I'm trying to find all the engravings and legendary weapons possible to make Naoe and Yasuke stronger buuuut I've killed two "unknown organization" people by accident because I had no idea they were there and now I'm worried I'll accidentally skip story quests by killing targets I had no idea were targets.

Sooooo anyone got a list of places to avoid?

So everyone knows how to get an easy early Bo Staff, right?

So I googled and saw that you apparently had to jump through many hoops to get access to it which makes no sense because why would you need to beat the game first, doing very specific quests beforehand too to be able to get it.

Then I had a thought and opened up the Animus

So the Defiance project has a Bo staff at level 1...and as soon as I unlocked it and Equipped it, I got an achievement, unlocked the Bo staff skill tree, and am finding more Bo staffs in random chests.

I'm on NG. I'm level 35 and have yet to do basically any quests after unlocking Yasuke. I just did the one with Junjiro because I thought it said something about Bo staff and was confused when I didn't get one, which started my googling.

Soooo yeah. Anyone want to rock a Bo Staff early, follow the Defiance project 👍

What is everyone's preferred setup?

Weapon and trinket wise.

Ngl I did buy the Serpent DLC because I'm a sucker for glowy blue things but that trinket and swords came in handy when learning the parry timing.

I now play on Hard Difficulty with Ezio's swords (it's funny perfect parrying brutes😂) Dark Animus Pistols, Found Coin, and Lodestone.

I mean I swap my trinkets around if I'm specifically planning on mass combat or skinning animals but I'm still early enough in the game that every bit counts. So Lodestone to auto loot literally everything I walk by and Found Coin to boost the reales gained is awesome 😂

What about you guys?

Observe is incredibly useful in this game and I wish I bothered with it sooner

You can use it while on a synchronization spot or just looking around (via Aim button, you don't need to pull out your weapon to do so). You can mark enemies with it, identify which enemy has the Plantation Key (after your initial visit), and spot all sorts of things like chests, quest items, and readable things like notes.

And if you can't find the Corrupted Chest in Havana, run over to the marker and then use Observe/Aim and look around. If you have the default color settings, a Green Dot should appear nearby behind some buildings and tada! The Corrupted Chest!

It seems: Green = Quest Item(?)

Yellow = Chest

White = Readable item

Oh and everyone on console complaining about no walk button, if you hold L2 while moving you walk.

Edit: Forgot to mention that the icons persists too when you aim your camera directly at the dots, as if you were marking enemies. So you don't need to keep stopping to observe your surroundings.

Are Schooners supposed to spam drop explosive barrels?

Yeaaaaah I actually have my naval difficulty set to forgiving so I can go farm tobacco for an outfit and a schooner almost killed me because dude dropped at least TWENTY Fire Barrels. And yes, I clipped it and counted. The schooner before it also dropped 12 before I did enough damage to board it.

That seems...excessive.

It looks like they are programmed to stary dropping them when they run away, regardless if you are behind them or not. Literally spam drop them. Like a trail of explosive breadcrumbs 🤨

Edit: Youtube link to the clipped video I mention

Can someone explain the Projects like I'm an idiot?

Okay I haven't played the more recent additions to AC so I'm a bit lost. The most "modern" one I last played was Unity back when it's multiplayer actually worked and you could run around with friends on the normal map, not just co-op missions.

Meaning I opened Resync expecting something...not this.

I'm guessing this is a kind of Battle Pass type thing, right?

So like if I track Undertow do I NEED to own Shadows to claim everything after Pirate King Hat? Or will I just have the Pirate King Hat and can put it on Yasuke whenever I actually get Shadows?

I wish the devs would take a second look at their "special currency" system

I get that they want people to continue to play their game but things like "You get 100 farmers medallions for completing WEEKLY challenges" while setting things like the well in the thousands price range is...questionable.

Same with "Kilima Coins" since you can only get like 100 - 150 per MONTH and some recipes are 100 coins. So you can only get one recipe per MONTH? With some other things like potions being 1/4th the coins?

It feels like they just threw out random numbers when trying to decide how much each thing should cost and haven't thought about it since.

Like why can't participation in things like Bloom give us Gardening coins too? Attaching extra incentive to all the in game timed events would definitely get more people willing to show up and participate.

Eloine Crest is untradeable

Sorry got into an argument with someone who claimed they were tradable. If you ever traded one, that was a bug and you should contact support because there is only one to be found and you can NOT Trash them either. The game does not let you.

Grilled Fish is definitely the way to go for easy, cheap Glow Worms

I didn't quite understand why you were supposed to grill fish instead of just selling them but after some googling I learned that grilling fish combines the value + extra.

However that only seems to be the case if you get Star Quality Grilled Fish. Wiki led me to believe that cooking two 100 value fish = 200+ but no, you just get Grilled Fish worth 200...unless it's Star Quaity.

Aaaand you get 1 Glow Worm per 50g value rounded up. So that 1 Grilled Fish worth 200 gets you 4 Glow Worms.

I know things like Bean Burgers seems to be the go to since you get 3 and the Gold Star are over 300 each BUT if you don't have the recipe or ingredients or just don't want to join cooking parties then Grilled Fish is definitely the easiest bang for your buck.

Yes you lose some profit by not selling them but you get Glow Worms to go fish more. 🤷‍♀️

Any news on bug fixes soon?

Just curious because the bugs are starting to get REALLY annoying. Especially the whole "Yeah your main button just stops working for no apparent reason" one.

I was struggling with Bean Burgers because game didn't let me pull buns out of the oven on top of needing to open any cooking station, back out, and open the station again for it to let me do ANYTHING. I had to do that for every single ingredient too.

This is also on top of graphical bugs, random things like needing to close my game because I'm stuck in the void, watering can stopping watering plants until I let go and do it again, and ***just now*** I stopped watering a plant and started to walk away only to realize my character was super slow ***because water was still coming out if my watering can.***

I hope the devs have some major patches soon because these bugs are almost to the point where I just drop a game because I want to have fun, not have to restart my game every 10 minutes because my buttons just decide to stop working.

Use your own f***ing dryer!

I have a cover for my cars leather seats to protect them from my dogs nails and I needed to wash it. So I went to the laundromat and all was fine. I washed it, threw it in the dryer, realized it was still damp, so I flipped it inside out and put it in for 10 more minutes.

I then waited in my car because it was cooler.

10 minutes later I'm shocked to find a pair of BOXERS in with it. I'm also horrified because I just spent $7 on washing this damn thing and now I find a pair of unknown cleanliness BOXERS in with my shit????

Who fucking DOES THAT?!?!

I'm also a germaphobe so I'm royally pissed and everything is saying I have to wash it again because I don't use the cover and take it out. It's perpetually in my car and I store things like extra gloves and work shit in my back seat on top of it.

I want to punch that motherfucker in the face but I have no idea who it was.

If you use the laundromat PAY FOR YOUR OWN GODDAMN LAUNDRY YOU FUCKS.

Edit: For extra clarification, I'm a single asexual woman who does not wear boxers nor do I have a boyfriend or want one.

Also if the boxers were there during the wash or initial dry cycle, they would've appeared when I flipped the cover inside out.

The dryers need a fucking lock on the door or an emergency stop button that beeps so nobody can covertly open a dryer and shove shit in it.

Cooking recipes worth a lot of focus and not super rare ingredients?

I've been looking it up but all the lists I find are incomplete (shocker). Even Palia Tracker is missing recipes.

But my problem is foods that are worth a lot of focus but you need either 10 ingredients for or annoyingly rare things like Clovis to make.

So what do y'all make? Because I'm just about ready to go 🖕 and make a ton of Steak Dinners and live with munching on 3 of them for full focus

Where is the most profitable place to fish, exactly?

I keep finding posts and videos but they are tagged multiple years ago so I'm like "Yeah there's probably better" but Google is being Google soooo help?

I'm level 11 fishing without a huge supply of Chum Buckets or Glow Worms so if anyone can be an overachiever and be like "If using worms then go (insert area) but if glow worms, go (insert area)" I'd give many thanks

Buttons just decide they don't want to work randomly

Stupid part was I mined a rock right next to the Flowtato and could pick THAT up but not this. Ever since the maintenance they did recently I swear the game has gotten so many more bugs, including this.

What are all the dailies/weeklies in this game?

I just discovered the 2 artifacts per 24 hours thing and it got me thinking about all the others that probably exist and I have no idea about.

All I do know about is the bulletin board sooooo 🤷‍♀️
