So I had an idea for a fanfic, I'm not confident in my own abillities enough to handle it... but I thought it'd be cool:
basically it's a MetAmy version of Megamind...
I know this is old-(ish) news, (I'm talking about the OG)... But I thought I'd get the perspective from contemporary DC comic readers about it... (I usually stay more on the Sonic side)
I do know that a lot of people think that Shadow and Batman are two characters who are actually written well enough in the crossover (or at least not...done badly), and I definitely think that Batman opening up and being vulnerable enough to talk with him about his own past (which is a far cry from "Have a plan to murder your friends")

But... How do you guys feel about Blaze x Barry the Quokka?
((Also disclaimer, I know that Barry canonically uses they/them, but I am going to use he/him, not to discriminate... but because I personally believe They/them was used since Barry is meant as a player character, sort of like 'Anon' is, and I personally use He/Him... I will use that here))
It's not exactly a Popular Ship, (I mean Barry x Gadget is much more popular...)

So... personally how do you feel about this ship? underrated? niche crackship?
The wand core is... extremely picky... it burned out several woods... he had to put it in elder wood with gold bands around it just so the wand wouldn't burn the wood off... Then a little blonde girl named maria came into the shop...
Some Highlights/Ideas from Maria's Hogwarts: Flashbanged the entire charms class by accident on day 1 casting lumos (McGonagall wrote a howler to olivander along the lines of "What did you give this girl), Filch doesn't even mind that she roller skates in the castle because she cleans up after herself by hand, and plays with ms norris,

her second year... she accidentally got entered into the tri-wizard tournement (because... well first of all I HC that the person who's name is on the paper has to have manuelly written it (so Moody likely used harry's homework)... Anyway... Moody decided to make a 'Hello World' test on his charm...he grabbed some random name and tossed it in... then forgot to get it out... which is how the Triwizard Tournement became the Five Wizard Wrumble... (and now there's two hufflepuff champions)
(Task 1 for Maria is the Biolizard... which... yeah, just imagine the ministry trying to keep *THAT* a secret... 'don't mind the orange lizard thats...uh... a Nundu...' "How is that better?!?" )
Oh also Bagman is aggressively irish and saying Feck every other word
Like Obviously it won't be confirmed in the movie... ((I'm 99.99999999999999999999999998%) sure of that... but maybe they have some sort of interaction/banter that we can squint as ship-y?
Does it mean I'm a bad person for shopping at a company that does bad things... or does it really not matter if they have my money or not...I'm miserable enough... and then I feel guilty for doing anything because I'm participating in some system... Everyone is so... against certain things... I feel bad for using them...but I still use it when I have random trains of thought and just want to see where they go...(of course... given how this sub feels about those things... The first time I went into the store... they said I needed the app... so I just left... then I downloaded the app... tried and failed logging in multiple times... had to log in *yet Again* just to check my coupons... and then by the time I was finally logged in...
The 5 Dollar coupon is just... not there...
So I had to go call up Customer Service... I'm half convinced I was talking to AI because they kept making me go through a bunch of questions... I checked the browser... the button is still not there... I literally had to put the Store Cashier on the phone, just for them to get to send the code via Email ((and I can't even change the email because the email my account is set with is one I can't check easily because it's my mom's yahoo email...So I had to tell them to send it to my email instead...and that took a while as well...
AND then I go in next month... The button is still gone... I check the website... 'unusual account activity'
probably because you have to log in and then re-log in just to check the button that isn't even there...
(Should I be concerned that they had to include 'cleaning needles in the bathroom'? in the video training?
Also how much of the 'open door' is accurate and how much is more just 'pr' stuff?

Every Eggman Actor has some pirate association from another role:
Jim Cummings-Played Hondo Ohnaka in Star Wars the Clone Wars
Long John Baldry- Is literally named 'Long John', he also voiced 'Greybeard the pirate' in the madaline cartoon, and played Captain Jean Lafitte in an episode of Sabrina the Animated Series
Deem Briscow-he just sounds like a pirate with his gravally tone and did VA work for the game 'High Seize'
Mike Pollack- did VA work for One Piece
Jim Carrey- played Count Olaf who disguised himself as Captain Shem
Brian Drummond- Played Knuckles in Sonic Underground (Knuckles has a pirate varient in Sonic Prime, the show where Drummond plays Eggman... and coincidentally, Drummond also has a minor VA role as 'Stormbeard' one of the former crewmates of knuckles the dread)
Garry Chalk- a bit more obscure, but he played, the boat captain in 8 below, Captain Dogwood in 'the New Adventures of Little Toot, Captain Bowen in the 2017 Power Rangers, *and* the chief of Navy in the 2020 Sonic Movie... and Captain Finny in AoSTH...
Vincent tong is of course also the VA of all the knuckles varients, in Prime... including Knuckles the Dread...
even Edwin Neal has some... he did minor voice work for Nadia: Secret of the Blue Water...
Is this all just a coincidence...

does Silver ever explicitly say he's a hedgehog? or was he just called that by the people who raised him and he just went with it?
((He was originally intended to be a Mink, and his design still has more in common with one)

also Blaze has gold eyes, much like silver...
Blaze also has the upward pointing hair ponytail, that I imagine when combined with the long fur of a Quokka would lead to his fanned out maple leaf haircut
... and based on Physics, Pyrokinesis could evolve into Psychokinesis, ((Heat is produced by the movement of motion through matter))...
I don't have *as* much proof for Barry, other than personality...though I suppose I could point out that Quoka's fluffy fur could also explain Silver's massive chest patch...
As for the Time aspect... maybe time works differently in the Sol Dimension? and that's how Eggman Nega is both from the future and the Sol Dimension...
