PGT or no PGT?

I’m 41 and had my first IVF retrieval. 11 follicles were seen, but only 4 eggs were retrieved. I’m waiting to see how many fertilise and reach blastocyst.
I initially consented to PGT-A but am reconsidering, especially if I have only 1–2 blastocysts. My clinic will discuss the embryos with me on Day 3 and reconfirm before biopsy on Day 5/6.
I understand aneuploidy rates are higher at 41, but I’m concerned PGT-A could leave me with no embryo to transfer. I’m also worried about biopsy risks and mosaic or uncertain results.
For anyone aged 41+ with only 1–2 blastocysts, did you choose PGT-A or transfer untested? What was your reasoning and outcome? I am yet to recieve further results, but have to make a decision on Friday.

Hi all ,
I have been having debilitating extreme heart racing upon waking up at 1 am and 3 am and thwn again when i finally get out of bed for the last 2 months. Also have this hyperventilation in my sleep i feel because i wake up feeling weird in my chest everyday . My symptoms seem to be upon awakening and not too much later on during the day. On a few days evenining i do have sense of unexplained panic in my chest and restlessness with no heart races.

My heart work up is normal. Is anyone facing the same ? My life now revolves around finding ways to calm my heart race down . I have called 000 a few times just to have them
Come and tell me its gone back to normal. I was fine and it all suddenly started- i cant seem to find any particular triggers . And now i have low moods and crying spells and fear around the episodes. My watch picks up High heart rate and notify me on many days and the max it has gone up is to 160 bpm . I am shaky and jittery all day after the episode. I dont enjoy weekends or going out anymore. Life is hard at the moment because of this
Does anyone have the same experience? If so what has helped? All tips
Are welcome . Thanks to all in advance.

Anyone natural pregnant with first at 40 after multiple try? What did you do differently?

Has anyone here conceived naturally with their first baby at 40 or older, especially after trying multiple times before?
I’m 40 and hoping to conceive my first child. I’ve had several attempts that unfortunately haven’t resulted in pregnancy, and I’m wondering whether anyone else has been in a similar situation and eventually conceived naturally.
For those who conceived naturally at 40+ after multiple unsuccessful attempts, did you do anything differently in the cycle when you finally became pregnant?

I understand that everyone’s fertility journey is different and that there is no guaranteed “secret,” but I’d really love to hear positive experiences from women who conceived their first baby naturally at 40 or older, particularly after several attempts that didn’t work.
If you’re comfortable sharing, how old were you, how long had you been trying, and what—if anything—did you do differently in the cycle you conceived? ❤️

Chamomile tea for anxiety and sleep – how do you brew it without feeling groggy the next day?

Hi everyone,
I’ve been experimenting with Twinings Chamomile Tea to help with anxiety, nighttime awakenings, and getting better sleep.
I’m trying to work out the best way to use it because I’ve noticed that if I brew it too strong, I can feel groggy and heavy for much of the following day. If I brew it too weak, it doesn’t seem to help my sleep very much.
I’d love to hear what has worked for you.
A few questions:
● How many Twinings chamomile tea bags do you use per cup?
● How much water do you use?
● How long do you steep it for (2 minutes, 3 minutes, 5 minutes, longer)?
● What time before bed do you drink it (30 minutes, 1 hour, etc.)?
● Do you finish the whole cup or only drink part of it?
● Have you found the “sweet spot” that improves sleep but doesn’t leave you feeling groggy or sedated the next day?
● Has anyone compared Twinings with other chamomile brands and noticed a difference?
For context, my main issues are anxiety, waking up during the night (often around 3 a.m.), and wanting deeper, more restful sleep without feeling exhausted the next day.
I’d really appreciate hearing your personal routines and any tips that have worked for you. Thanks!

Anyone else wake up repeatedly with a pounding heart? Struggling with sleep despite bisoprolol

Hi everyone,
Has anyone experienced waking up multiple times during the night with a racing/pounding heart, and a significant increase in HR every time you wake up (especially in the early morning)?
I’m currently being investigated for possible POTS/IST and have been on 1.25 mg bisoprolol for 2 months. I still experience these episodes, especially when waking up.
I can barely sleep more than around 4 hours total, and it is very broken sleep. I’m also extremely sleepy and fatigued during the day.
Has anyone found anything that helped improve sleep and reduce the early morning HR surges or adrenaline-like symptoms? I would really appreciate hearing about your experiences and anything that has helped.
Thank you

Need help desperately

Hi everyone. I’m a 40-year-old looking to hear from anyone who’s experienced something similar.
Two months ago, this started suddenly after I sprinted to catch a train. Since then, I’ve been waking almost every hour overnight and then getting severe early morning episodes (usually 4–7 AM) with sinus tachycardia (HR up to 165, often during or just before a bowel movement), breathlessness/air hunger, chest tightness, nausea, butterflies in my stomach, and an urgent need to open my bowels.
My echocardiogram, ECGs and other cardiac tests have been reassuring, with Holter showing symptomatic sinus tachycardia. A cardiologist suspects an autonomic condition such as POTS, but I haven’t been formally diagnosed yet. I’m about to start a 28-day monitor.
I’m exhausted, distressed, and desperate to sleep normally again. Has anyone had a similar experience? Did you eventually get some relief, and did it improve with time or treatment?
Thank you. 🙏
