Can't stand the thriller in TLOU2.

Quick disclaimer that this is not me making an objective criticism on the game, nor saying it is bad. TLOU2 is certainly acclaimed as one of the best ever made, so I'm just sharing my personal experience and maybe we can start a conversation. So, to the matter:

Guys, the suspense and the thriller are being a real obstacle for me.

They made the arenas scary, with all the sounds and tension that it generate, but I think my weak point is the tension/jumpscares. I antecipate when the jumpscares are going to happen, and even if they are obvious, I always flinch and it makes my heart go so fast, I get completely tense even on the aftermath.

Since young, even tho Idk why, I am very very weak to piece of medias that intentionally scares you (to put it like that lol), and I believe I have a weak spot for jump scares and things TLOU2 does, like "go through this tiny space, build tension, loud noise". I experienced the same thing with RE4R.

Just for context, I am currently on Seattle Day 1, just cleared the first arena on the court.

People acting feral and shitting on GTA VI won't be able to play at launch.

Seriously.

I understand memes, getting jokes out and stuff, but the exaggeration makes me think these people don't even have the hardware to play at launch.

I was cautious, wouldn't even consider that I was hyped and the gameplays made me hopeful lol.

In Spider Man 2 (2023), Peter's spider sense is not able to avoid being hit by a bengal.

Couldn't find the exact frame. What a dumb way to create conflict.

Playing RE4R with headphones is too scary

What's up guys,

I had never played any RE game when I started wandering the sub recently as I gained interest in RE4R - Just started playing on the PS5 (finna concluded the chainsaw mob).

I came to the conclusion, watching your takes on the game, that the common sense is 4 was the least scary of the series by that time, if scary at all.

I just feel I have to say NOT FOR ME 😭 - I find myself completely immersed on the atmosphere and in the exact trance they intended when designing the game audio lol. The atmosphere is impressive if I'm talking technical, but it is being too much for me, convicted sensible to tense games/movies.

I intend to keep playing it anyway, but I just wanted to share my feelings as this is being my first gameplay.

TLDR: RE4R too scary, atmosphere goes crazy. I am a fish on this games sea, and a lotta big sharks trying to catch me.
