I (34f) got asked out by someone significantly older (53m). I’ve never gone out with someone this much older but also when we met we struck up a chat about books and had a lot of similar interests so I am intrigued but I can’t lie the gap is a little off putting. He’s very handsome and in shape but definitely can tell he’s older. Just wanted to see if anyone else has been in that significant a gap and thoughts on it? Not saying I’m gonna marry this guy or anything but I’ve always been a “do it for the story” type and try to remain open to those that don’t fit my “type” so why not see what a dates like is my current thinking

Recently got a switch 2, already addicted to pokopia but what are some other games to check out? I love RPGs, adventure, and puzzle games. Bonus points if game is only available on switch. Some of my fave games for reference- Skyrim, cyberpunk, life is strange, Baldur’s gate 3.

First of TW - the book I’m thinking of dealt with some really heavy SA

Had to read this book in an American Lit college course back in 2013, was talking to an old classmate recently about how disturbing this book was and how messed up it was our professor had us read it with no warning first but got curious about looking up the author to see what she was up to because book was particially autobiographical.

Description- was about a woman addicted to drugs and prostituting herself and ended up dealing with an awful masochist who ultimately mutilated her and wore a piece of her on a necklace…again very fucked up book that made me unable to even look at a man for weeks but it’s bugging me I can’t remember it. I think it was called faction or friction or something but doesn’t come up when I google. I believe the cover had a drawing of woman slumped over sitting in bed. And I know the author was American cuz it was part of American Literature class.

Again very very messed up but well written book that I never plan on reading again just bugging me I can’t remember the title/author. TYIA if someone else knows this book

I LOVE wonton soup. Problem is I’m allergic to shellfish and most come with shrimp in it. There used to be a place called Dan’s kitchen that did a bomb shellfish free wonton soup but they closed. Does anyone have another valley rec?

I downloaded hinge cuz people say that it’s the app that is for relationship ms but feels like bullshit for lots of them but one of them being I get very very few likes and if I do it’s men I’m not attracted to. But when I was on bumble I felt like it led to more matches and likes and interactions. Are they all just trash? I know dating in general is futile but I have a few friends who have met their partners on apps so I keep having a tiny spark of hope

Where can I enjoy a bottomless mimosa brunch in the valley? Bonus points if it’s outdoors.
