How to remove visible selfie stick from Osmo 360 footage?

Hey guys, I have the original 360 footage from my Osmo 360, but the selfie stick is visible in the video.

Has anyone dealt with this before? What’s the best way to remove it in post?

Would love to know what software/technique you used and how you did it. Looking for some practical advice from someone who’s actually done it.

Thanks!

Creative 360 camera ideas for Indian weddings?

Indian wedding filmmakers, I’m looking for creative and cinematic ways to use a 360 camera at weddings.

I’m not a filmmaker, but I want to use my 360 camera at my brother’s wedding and create some unique footage.

I’m not looking for the usual static/normal 360 shots, but creative shots that would be difficult or impossible to achieve with a regular camera.

If you’ve used a 360 camera for weddings, what are some of your best techniques or creative shots?

Please share any video examples or references if you have them. I’d love to get some ideas before the wedding!

Osmo Action 6 footage looks slightly out of focus – any settings I should change?

I recently used the Osmo Action 6 and noticed that some of my footage looks slightly out of focus, especially when looking at details around the edges.

Since this is such a wide-angle action camera, I wasn’t expecting noticeable focus issues. The footage isn’t completely blurry, but it just doesn’t look as sharp as I expected.

Could this be related to any camera settings, sharpening, or other processing? Is there anything I should change to get sharper footage?

Has anyone else experienced this with the Action 6?

DJI Osmo 360 for €311 new — worth buying or should I wait for the 360 II?

DJI Osmo 360 for €311 — buy now or wait for 360 II?

I’ve been watching the Osmo 360 price since launch. It started at €450+ and has dropped to €311 in just ~10 months.

I previously used the Osmo 360 but didn’t like the software experience, although I liked the camera itself.

At €311, I’m tempted to buy it again, but with the 360 II coming soon, I’m wondering:

• Is €311 a good buy or should I wait?
• Do you expect the current model to drop further after the 360 II launches?
• Given the huge price drop already, how much lower could it realistically go?
• Has the software improved significantly since launch?

Also will it be the same story for Osmo 360 ii?

What would you do: buy at €311 or wait?

German citizenship vs keeping Indian citizenship - genuinely torn. Looking for advice from people who've been through this.

Indian here, eligible for German citizenship, but emotionally torn. Would love some perspective from fellow Indians.

I've been living and working in Germany since 2016. Professionally, life has been good, and I've been eligible for German citizenship for the last 3–4 years. But until now, I never seriously considered it.

The biggest reason is emotional. I'm Indian by heart. I came abroad for better career opportunities and financial growth, not because I wanted to leave India forever. Even after almost a decade, I still miss home and my family. I've never really felt that I wanted to give up my Indian identity.

Lately though, I've been thinking more practically. Friends have pointed out that a German passport gives a lot more flexibility and security for the future. Even if I decide to live elsewhere or return to Europe later in life, having German citizenship would make things much easier. That advice made sense, so I finally sent the initial email to begin the application process.

But now I'm questioning myself again.

Another concern is India-specific. I like the idea of investing in agricultural land in the future. As far as I understand, foreign citizens generally cannot purchase farmland in India. I know there are ways around it, like buying in parents' names, but it still feels like giving up an important connection to India. Becoming an NRI can be reversed by moving back, but giving up Indian citizenship is a much bigger and largely irreversible decision.

So I'd really like to hear from fellow Indians who have faced this choice.

- Did you struggle emotionally with giving up Indian citizenship?

- If you became a German (or another foreign) citizen, do you regret it?

- How did you deal with the farmland/property aspect?

- Looking back, would you make the same decision again?

I'm not looking for legal advice, just honest experiences from people who have actually gone through this. This feels like one of the biggest decisions of my life.

German citizenship vs keeping Indian citizenship – genuinely torn. Looking for advice from people who've been through this.

I've been living and working in Germany for almost 10 years as an engineer. I've been eligible for German citizenship for the last 3–4 years but intentionally never applied because, emotionally, I never felt ready.

The biggest reason is simple: I'm Indian by heart. I came to Germany because of career opportunities and better pay, not because I wanted to leave India forever. Even after all these years, I've never really enjoyed being away from my family. Germany has been good to me, but India has always felt like home.

Recently, my situation changed. My fiancée works in healthcare and currently lives in Canada. Because of licensing requirements and language barriers, moving to Germany or most of Europe would be extremely difficult for her. So we've been seriously considering me moving to Canada instead.

When I discussed this with friends, many of them suggested something I hadn't really considered. They said I should first obtain German citizenship before moving. Their reasoning was that if Canada doesn't work out or we decide to return to Europe later, having German citizenship would make it much easier. I wouldn't have to start from scratch with visas or residence permits, and I would have the freedom to live and work anywhere in the EU.

That advice made practical sense, so I finally sent the initial application email. But now that the process has started, I'm having second thoughts again.

The emotional side of giving up Indian citizenship still bothers me. It's not just patriotism. There is also the practical aspect. I like investing in farmland in India, and as many of you know, foreign citizens generally cannot buy agricultural land directly. I know there are workarounds like purchasing in parents' names, but I'd rather understand how people who have actually gone through this think about it.

So I'm looking for advice from people who have been in a similar position.

- Did you struggle with giving up your Indian citizenship?

- Do you regret taking German (or another foreign) citizenship, or was it the right decision?

- If farmland or long-term investments in India mattered to you, how did you handle that?

- Looking back, would you make the same decision again?

I'm not looking for legal advice as much as personal experiences. This decision feels much bigger than just a passport, and I'd really appreciate hearing from people who've faced the same dilemma.

P.s. I can understand on paper any EU citizenship is the best option. Ideally for me, one of us having indian and another one having other citizenship would have been the great idea but my fiancee also wants to get the citizenship. So none of us would have indian citizenship and in future I dont want to regret giving up indian citizenship.

RTX 5060 causing repeated Windows recovery/boot issues after installation? Need help diagnosing root cause

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to diagnose a problem scientifically before I return my RTX 5060. I'm not assuming the GPU is faulty, but the issues only started after installing it.

System

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-12600K
  • Motherboard: Gigabyte Z690M DS3H DDR4
  • BIOS: F33
  • GPU: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5060 WINDFORCE MAX OC 8G
  • RAM: 64 GB (4×16 GB) G.Skill Aegis DDR4-3200 CL16
    • Two separate 2×16 GB kits (same model)
  • SSD: Samsung 980 NVMe
  • PSU: Seasonic S12III 650W 80+ Bronze
  • Monitor: BenQ PD3200U

Timeline

  • Fresh Windows 11 installation
  • Updated BIOS
  • Installed RTX 5060
  • Installed NVIDIA drivers
  • Since then, multiple issues started appearing

Symptoms

  • Windows entered Startup Repair multiple times.
  • Had to use System Restore more than once.
  • NVIDIA driver installation failed at least once.
  • At one point I lost BIOS display completely until I reset CMOS.
  • GPU is detected correctly in Device Manager.
  • GPU-Z detects the card correctly.
  • GPU-Z Render Test works and PCIe switches to Gen5 x8 correctly.
  • Resizable BAR is enabled.
  • GPU fans spin normally.
  • Current BIOS boot time is around 8.6 seconds.

RAM / XMP

One thing that confuses me is that I had been running this exact RAM configuration (64 GB at XMP 3200 MT/s) for a long time before installing the RTX 5060 without any noticeable issues.

What I've already tried

  • Fresh Windows installation
  • BIOS update
  • CMOS reset
  • Disable/enable XMP
  • Verified RAM pairing
  • Reseated GPU
  • Checked PCIe power cable
  • Multiple Windows recovery operations
  • GPU-Z verification

Questions

  1. Has anyone seen similar behavior after installing an RTX 5060?
  2. Could this be a motherboard BIOS compatibility issue?
  3. Could the NVIDIA driver corrupt Windows enough to trigger Startup Repair?
  4. Is the PSU a likely suspect even though the GPU works correctly under GPU-Z Render Test?
  5. Would you suspect the GPU hardware itself, or something else in the system?

I'm looking for an objective troubleshooting approach before deciding whether to return the card. Any suggestions or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.

DJI Osmo 360 footage is very laggy on my Windows PC. Is my hardware the problem, or am I using the wrong workflow?

I recently bought a DJI Osmo 360, and while the footage looks great, playback on my Windows PC is extremely choppy. Even scrubbing the timeline or previewing clips isn't smooth.

**My PC specs:**

* **CPU:** Intel Core i5-12600K * **GPU:** Intel UHD 770 (no dedicated GPU) * **RAM:** 64 GB G.Skill Aegis DDR4-3200 * **Storage:** Samsung 980 NVMe SSD (footage stored on the SSD) * **OS:** Windows 11

I'm editing directly from the original files on the NVMe SSD.

I have a few questions for those who regularly edit Osmo 360 footage:

* Is the Intel UHD 770 simply not powerful enough for smooth playback of Osmo 360 footage? * Does DJI Studio actually use Intel Quick Sync / hardware acceleration, or does it rely mostly on the CPU? * Would generating proxy files be the recommended workflow? * Would adding a dedicated GPU (I'm considering an RTX 5060 or RTX 5070) make playback significantly smoother, or is there another bottleneck? * Are there any recommended codecs or export settings from DJI Studio that make editing easier without sacrificing too much quality?

I'd also love to understand the workflow experienced users follow. For example:

  1. Import footage
  2. Reframe in DJI Studio?
  3. Export in a specific codec?
  4. Edit in DaVinci Resolve or Premiere Pro?
  5. Color grade and add effects?
  6. Export the final video?

Or is there a better approach that avoids multiple re-encodes while keeping the best possible quality?

I'm new to 360 editing, so any workflow tips, software recommendations, or lessons learned would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Incorrect heart rate

I just observed yesterday that my fitbit air is not measuring the correct heart rate. When I was in gym yesterday constantly heartrate was over 130 and sometimes over 150 but fitbit air has shown spike at 80. I also confirmed with on device heart rate measurement.

Want to know fitbit air review

Hey Fitbit Air users,

I'm curious about the Fitbit Air for everyday use. I hit the gym a couple of times a week and really want to track my active calorie burn for weight loss.

I'm torn between Garmin and Fitbit Air. I'm not big on smartwatches, so the Fitbit Air's concept appeals to me, but I don't want to miss out on essential features.

Thanks in advance

Hello

I’m visiting Toronto next week and thinking of bringing a DJI mini 2 se (under 250 g) drone for some aerial shots.

From what I understand, Canada has stricter drone rules, especially around cities, so I wanted to check with people who’ve actually flown there:

• Is flying a sub-250g drone allowed anywhere near downtown Toronto?
• Are there any legal spots with a skyline view or interesting cityscape nearby?
• Any areas (parks, waterfronts, islands, etc.) that are drone-friendly and worth shooting?
• Things to watch out for (no-fly zones, enforcement, fines, etc.)?

I’m not looking to break any rules, just want to plan properly and avoid issues.

Would really appreciate advice from locals or anyone who has experience flying in Toronto.

Thanks!
