KMart sold opera glasses.
I found these at a flea market a long time ago. KMart was still around locally (multiple stores in town). Surprised they ever sold these. The opera glasses themselves are in great shape.

From A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. The piece of pie is as big as Woodstock is, but he manages to down the whole thing.
I'm watching a DVD of Peanuts specials, and thought Dorothy would be closest to Lucy.
I will also throw in the All in the Family spin-offs Maude and The Jeffersons. So Golden Girls and the All in the Family shows.
Should she send one of these with Bubba?
"The Break In" aired in 1985, right when Madonna was first taking off. Dorothy talks about the Beatles and Frank Sinatra, and Sophia talks about opera. I'm not saying they wouldn't, but it seems odd that women of their ages (and musical tastes) went to see Madonna prancing around on stage singing "Material Girl" and "Like a Virgin".
This is the episode where Dorothy's boyfriend makes a pass at Blanche and Dorothy calls Blanche a liar (more or less). In the episode, Sophia tells Rose one of her Sicily stories and ends it with one of the young peasant girls being her, the other "you probably know as Mama Celeste." After Rose leaves, Sophia goes to the refrigerator and opens the door (apparently finding a jar of Mama Celese's pizza sauce) and yells something like "aberganza!". What does she say and what does it mean?
Leaves (bottom) is a first edition, published in Victoria's lifetime; More Leaves (top) is a "new edition", but was still published while she was alive. The picture of Victoria is from More Leaves. Leaves is dedicated to Prince Albert. I thought her dedication was pretty touching.
That's how Rose found her "boyfriend" Isaac Q. Newton. Blanche commented to Dorothy she acted like no one ever did this.
I found a book about Edmund, Eadred, and Eadwig which I ordered (somewhat pricey) and haven't gotten yet. But I wondered if anything else has been written on him.
Thoughts?
Does it make you think of Humpty Dumpty and all the king's men? Handsome men, with muscles bulging, and big old codpieces,...?
I know nothing is said about it beyond Mama's comment, "No Buzz and Sonja." What do you think happened to them? Any speculation on what happened to them over the years?
