Making an already bad traffic situation even worse[OC]

So this happened at Thrikkakara temple junction today at noon. Most people were patiently following lane traffic despite the gridlock there and then comes these “kuthikettal teams” worsening the already bad situation.

Airtel regional language customer support

Has anyone been able to talk to an Airtel customer care support agent in Malayalam/english these days?

After dialling 121 and patiently waiting for 10-15 mins to connect to a customer support agent all I get is Hindi support and when I tell them I don’t know Hindi and politely ask for an English support agent they just cut the call.

After dialling the Airtel store num available on google and finally getting a customer support agent, again it’s hindi support. Then I get my friend to talk with them in Hindi and they say we should call the Airtel store number and cut the call.

How do I connect to a customer care agent that can talk in Malayalam/english? Or is a store visit the only option to resolve our issues?

Blocking a part of the road by placing drums [OC]

This is a pocket road in front of Tspot cafe at Kakkanad. One side of this road has been blocked for over a year by placing drums. It is said that some people placed this on the road to disrupt the business of a nearby establishment and I don’t know if it’s with the knowledge of the municipality. This has been here for more than a year.

Luxury cars block the road? 'No problem.' My Uber pulls up? 'Move immediately!' The double standards at hotel are real

I recently went for a Saturday night outing at a popular hotel in Kakkanad. I took an Uber, which happened to be a Maruti Alto. When we arrived, the hotel didn't have a designated drop-off zone because the limited space in front was entirely occupied by the "flashy" cars of their wealthier patrons.

My cab driver pulled into the only available space to let me out, but before I could even pay, hotel staff came running over. They began banging on the car window, arrogantly shouting at the driver to move 50 meters ahead, claiming he was blocking traffic—all while I was still trying to pay and exit the vehicle, despite being a guest at their restaurant.

After eventually getting out, I waited in front of the hotel for my friend. Over the next ten minutes, I watched as several luxury cars—Mercedes, BMWs, and the like—pulled up and blocked the exact same road to drop off their passengers. Yet, the hotel staff didn't say a word; they were patient, accommodating, and silent.

It was infuriating to see that it’s all about status and money. The hotel is clearly at fault for prioritizing the available space for luxury vehicles while failing to provide any room for standard cabs to drop off or pick up guests safely. It was a blatant display of elitism.
