Women just not responding?

Have had hinge for a couple of weeks, gotten a decent amount of matches and I’ve gotten 2 numbers trying to move off hinge. However, I’m waiting for a response to normal conversation from 22 people! Yes, I have 22 people on my app under the “their turn”tab. Is this a common thing? Do I just talk like an idiot and nobody wants to converse with me? So confused on why this is happening, this was my first experience on here so I’m thinking about throwing in the towel cause it seems like most of the girls on here don’t really care about it.

Edit: probably should’ve added my age range on here. I’m 23M and have a range of 20-26.

First supervisor job: any advice?

I’m 23, been at my current beverage manufacturing/distillation company for a year as a quality tech straight out of college. In this position I worked as a company employee, but more alongside union employees and providing input on day to day tasks, performing internal audits/ safety checks, and of course spending most of my time in the lab. Well, I just got a promotion to supervisor and I’m super stoked about it.

I start training next month and while I’m excited, I’m definitely nervous. It’s not a large team, typically 7 employees a shift (I’d be working half of second and all of third) and everyone seems really nice and most importantly, well seasoned.

My main concern is of course learning the union environment in terms of actually managing individuals and how my age will play a role in that process. I’ve never had any issues before as I put ego aside to learn from employees about their position, what they expect from me, and how I can improve their day to day life/tasks at work. I’m preparing myself everyday and figured I’d find somewhere to get some good and real advice from others who may have been in my position at one point. So, any comments would be appreciated!

Should I get a frenectomy with my given career?

My dentist recommended a frenectomy for preventative reasons, meaning no damage or issues yet, but just go ahead as a precaution. Looked up some videos and pics, kinda gross but seems easy and small.

Well, I made an appointment and I work today I realized, I’m tasting high proof, low proof, and sugary alcoholic products as a QA specialist at least 20 times a day. It’s something I have to do as I’m the only one on shift qualified to make those decisions. Should I just go ahead and cancel or what? I can’t take 2 weeks off work.

Edit: specifics, inferior labial frenectomy

I feel terrible about ending relationships.

I graduated college last year so I feel like I’m entering the dating world, trying to find something real that can last. I never truly dated in college, just flings here and there, and I had a gf in highschool but does that really count? Anyways, the past 2 girls I was seeing (at different times duh) I’ve ended it because I didn’t see a long term relationship forming with them, whether it be due to some level of attraction (physical, emotional, intellectual, etc) or just not feeling what I think I should be feeling at that point in time. But this act is gut wrenching because I feel like it turns into something where they’re just so hurt and absolutely despise me afterwards. It makes me just not want to date anymore because of how awful I feel for doing this. I’m not leading them on, making promises, talking about the future, just getting to know them and knowing when it’s time to call it if I know I’m not interested in something long term. So now do I not only have the fear of being hurt, but also hurting others. How do I manage this?

Volunteer opportunities in Louisville

Anyone have suggestions for some volunteer organizations/opportunities in Louisville, it can be anything. I’m not super passionate about anything specific at the moment, I just love to be a part of something and help the community.

When are you supposed to know you want a future with/marry someone?

I (23M) started dating my gf (21F) about a month ago, I dated here and there in college but nothing that stuck and this is the first girl I’ve really really liked. I’ve been focused on my career and building my life after college and met my current gf who of course I really like, but I’m so indecisive about the future. No matter what I can’t imagine spending the rest of my life with someone, is it because I haven’t experienced real love? If I’m having these doubts about my love life and what I truly want, is it okay to date someone who knows that they’re looking for marriage and kids? I’m just so worried about carrying her along with my indecisiveness and then hurting her in the end. I’d rather be torn apart myself. I don’t know when you know that this is the person for you. Is it immediate, does it take time? She knows I’m new to relationships and she has openly expressed that she really likes me and that I’m a great boyfriend, but when we talked about this obviously she got spooked and says it’s on me to figure it out. I just don’t know what to do. I feel like we’ve done everything right in terms of connecting with one another so far. Are my own doubts because I’m just not ready?

Tl;dr- I’m worried I’m not ready for a serious relationship because of my inability to imagine my girlfriend, but also anyone, in my future. Will I know that someone is the one or does it take time? Is it worth continuing when I have doubts this early?

3rd shift> 2/2/3 nights

So, I got moved to a separate plant to help out on third while they are training people on first to fill the position. My plant shift operates as a 2/2/3, while the one I’ve been at for 3 weeks and have 2 more to go, does a classic 3 shifts/day.

I used to think that nights was the thing that made me feel like shit, but I’m here to say that it was the 12 hr shifts. Yes, you have extra days off, yes you don’t have to spend as much on gas if you live a bit away from work because you’re only driving in 3-4 days a week, but wow, I didn’t realize that schedule was killing me as much as it was. 3rd shift is fucking awesome. Well, it’s awesome in comparison to the 2/2/3, I still would prefer day shift.

Have y’all worked both before? Which did you like more? I’m dreading going back to my 2/2/3 schedule in 2 weeks, I feel like I’ve been on fucking vacation.

I haven’t started yet but I’ll be sure to update cause I’ve always been curious how a classic 3rd schedule feels vs 2/2/3. I’ve been on the 2/2/3 for roughly 7 months and I’ve been asked to be used as a temp at a different plant and on a different schedule for 4 weeks. I hope I don’t like it cause then I’ll be pissed when I go back to my old schedule!

I do have one question for those on 3rd, do you stay up after you get home, or get up earlier and have more time in the evening? I’ve never had to worry about it cause I typically just eat and go to bed on work days.
