Best Quad for adult noob

I ride dirtbikes and want to get my lady involved so I can ride more. Getting her a bike is out of the question. She simply won’t be able to do it.

So I’m thinking quad. She’s all of 5 ft and 110 pounds. I was originally thinking a 400 ex or raptor 350 (bonus I could also ride and enjoy it) but the more I think about it, I think it will be a push to teach her proper shifting.

Now I’m thinking about a trx250 with the sport clutch. Would this be too small? We would ride rather rocky trails. Or should I look at a 400 utility quad which also have auto transmissions.

Thoughts?

Wait?

Want to purchase the new Cirqa. Seems to be varying reviews, some saying it’s great, others saying there are numerous flaws and it needs some software fixes.

Should I wait for them to iron out the issues? I’m guessing around the Holidays it will go on sale and have the problems ironed out? Or maybe a “pro” model with a current chip will be released?

Thoughts? I currently don’t use a smart watch and have an edge for cycling. Want to enter the 24/7 tracking world

80/20

Looking for a new “aero” gravel bike. Something like the unreleased revolt, grail, or MOG. Something that will do well on the road, as an 80/20, do it all kinda bike. The only person I’m racing is myself, but I still enjoy speed.

Anything that will be good in this regard? Something not so slack that will feel slow on the road? Also would you go with 40 or 45mm tires? The gravel around here is not that technical.

Quad lock???

How do you all navigate a new place? Do you use a quad lock or just pull your phone out of your pocket?

Thinking of throwing my phone on the bars but it also looks like a good spot for it to get destroyed. Not sure how to explore a new riding area? Should I just rip and pull it in and out of the pocket for directions back to the truck or what?

Crux?

If you put Rider A on the same road course, and all other condtions, etc. are the same.

How much slower would the rider be on a crux with a tire like the Schwalbe g-one RS vs a tarmac?

Asking as I’m thinking of the crux for my do it all, 1 quiver bike. Just afraid it will disappoint on the road and be too slow to hang on road group rides. I know the answer is two wheel-sets but I hate maintaining extra stuff.

Valve stems

In the market for some new valve stems. Seems the tech has taken off from the traditional removable presta valve core.

Mic off, stans, etc all have new systems. And then you also have the click core.

What’s everyone using now a days for tubeless set up.

Shimano RC903

In the market for new road shoes and have settled on the Shimano RC903. They are on sale for 20% off. Should I pull the trigger or does this mean a newer model is about to launch?

Pressure washer

I have a ryobi electric pressure washer however it doesn’t have a tank for soap.

How can I get this to spread surface cleaner on concrete and a deck for a soft wash? I’m looking to use Zep which has a 6 to 1 ratio and thought about using the foam sprayer I have but don’t see how that’s practical?

Any suggestions?

Can someone explain the difference between gravel, aero gravel, all-road, and endurance. Most seem the same with 45 mm tires? What am I missing?

And what would you recommend as a full on road-race bike replacement. I’m not racing and think a “do it all bike” is the way to go. Something like the Enve Fray, Trek checkmate, and Allied echo.

All three seem like aero road bikes but with room for 45 mm tires and a slightly more relaxed geometry. Enough to be fast on the road, look the part of a modern “road race” bike but gravel enough to hit up the occasional off-road path or shitty secondary road that hasn’t been paved in a decade.

Anyone know what happened to the VC cyclist. I know he stopped doing YouTube awhile ago but his IG has also been dead.

Did he quit social media for a “real” job or quit cycling in general?

To add in the fashion part, he would released special designed kit that was usually pretty cool. Haven’t seen anything new in that from either.

Thinking of buying the race face 1/2 tailgate pad. It’s for two bikes but reviews have been mixed on of it will actually fit two bikes.

Anyone have experience. Will the 1/2 pad comfortable work with two bikes or should I buy the full pad.

Also, any issues with tailgate pads? Only negative I can find on you may Skratch under the down tube from dirt rubbing on the pad/frame.

I have a Lydsto S3 that is dead after two uses. It has the “abnormal ultrasound” indicator. Lydsto being a Chinese company means I have had no luck getting a response for warranty or service help.

Looking at the Aiper s1. Company seems US based so I’ll at least get warranty service if needed. Only want to spend around 500 unless it’s junk.

Any recommendations for a small in ground pool
