If they ever remake Dragon Age Origins (they won’t) they should add a cameo from Hawke’s family in Lothering

Everybody's talking about Rosemary, but what about Sophie?

This poor girl lost her entire family in the span of 2 months.

[Loved trope] Enemies who find each other in the wild

- Pulp Fiction - Butch and Marcellus

During this part of the movie, Butch is being hunted by Marcellus's men for disobeying Marcellus's command to lose a boxing match on purpose. While returning home after retrieving his father's watch before leaving the city, Butch conveniently finds the gangster crossing the street.

- Hunter x Hunter - Gon, Killua and the Phantom Troupe

The entire Yorknew City arc revolves around the main characters trying to find the members of the gang. Later in the arc, after two members of the Troupe are killed and the danger seems to be over, Gon and Killua attend an auction where they encounter two members of the Troupe by pure chance.

[Loved trope] Main character from a previous part of the franchise appears in a new one as an npc/secondary character

- Hawke - Dragon age

Hawke from the Dragon Age franchise begins their journey as a refugee fleeing the Blight in Ferelden who rises to become the legendary Champion of Kirkwall, a pivotal figure navigating intense political and religious conflicts between mages and Templars. Their personal story involves carving out a new life for their family, dealing with profound personal losses, and ultimately making choices that accidentally ignite a massive all-out war across Thedas. Years later, in Dragon Age: Inquisition, Hawke returns not as the player-controlled protagonist, but as an influential NPC and secondary ally who assists the Inquisitor. They lend their seasoned combat expertise and firsthand knowledge of the chaos in Kirkwall to help combat the looming threat of Corypheus.

- Rookie - Far Cry New Dawn

The Rook is the silent protagonist from Far Cry 5 who starts out as part of a law enforcement task force attempting to arrest the radical cult leader Joseph Seed in Hope County, Montana. Their original story spirals into a desperate survival mission as they liberate the region from the cult's grip, culminating in a devastating nuclear ending where the world is destroyed. In the future game Far Cry New Dawn, the Rookie reappears as a masked, non-playable secondary character known as the Judge. Having been psychologically broken and guilt-ridden by the apocalypse they failed to prevent, they now silently serve Joseph Seed, hiding behind a mask and assisting the new protagonist in cleaning up Hope County while haunted by their past.

What’s something you don’t like about the game?

I didn’t like in season 1 that you had to save Carley in order to reveal Lee’s past, we could have gotten a scene of Lee alone thinking about telling the group after remembering Carley’s words or something similar, but they instead made you into a liar without even giving you the option to tell anyone

[Loved trope] Bully becomes friend

- Flash Thompson - Spider-Man

Initially introduced as Peter Parker’s primary tormentor in high school, Flash Thompson used his status as a star athlete to belittle Peter. However, his character arc is defined by complexity; over time, he grew to become Spider-Man’s biggest fan. This transformation culminated in a deep, genuine friendship with Peter. Beyond just reconciling with his former victim, Flash evolved into a hero in his own right, famously serving as Agent Venom and demonstrating a level of bravery and maturity that completely eclipsed his past behavior.

- Masahiko Umezawa - Hajime No Ippo

Umezawa begins as one of Ippo Makunouchi’s cruelest bullies, frequently humiliating him. His turning point occurs after witnessing Ippo's burgeoning dedication to boxing and his resilience. Recognizing the strength of Ippo's character, Umezawa undergoes a humbling realization. He eventually stops the bullying, becomes one of Ippo's most loyal supporters, and even works at the Makunouchi fishing boat business, proving that he truly regrets his past actions and values his friendship with Ippo above all else.

Also, as a fun fact, he’s apparently the author’s (George Morikawa) self-insert.

Who else would like to know what Shay did in those 16 years?

Haytham sent him on the mission to find the box in 1760 and he found it in 1776, that’s 16 years of a templar travelling the world and living adventures, i’d love to see what he was doing during all that time, it’d be perfect for a short comic series or maybe a novel.

[Sad trope] We were once brothers, but now we’re enemies.

- Moses and Ramses - The prince of Egypt

Raised as brothers in the Egyptian palace, their bond shatters when Moses discovers his Hebrew roots and is called by God to lead his people out of slavery. When Moses returns to Egypt with this mission, Ramses refuses to let the slaves go, leading to a series of devastating plagues. Despite their childhood love, Ramses chooses his throne over his brother, and they end as enemies on opposite sides of the Red Sea.

- Megatron and Optimus prime - Transformers One

Starting as two miners and best friends named D-16 and Orion Pax, they work together to expose the corruption of their planet's leader. However, as they gain power, D-16 becomes fueled by a desire for violent retribution and total control, while Orion Pax insists on mercy and justice. Their friendship ends when D-16 fully becomes Megatron, executes the tyrannical leader of their home planet and attempts to kill his former friend, sparking a civil war that will destroy their world in the future.

- Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi - Star wars

After years of fighting as partners in the Clone Wars, Anakin is manipulated by a Sith Lord into believing that the Dark Side is the only way to save the woman he loves. He betrays the Jedi Order and helps hunt them down, forcing Obi-Wan to confront him in a duel on the volcanic planet Mustafar. Obi-Wan defeats him and leaves in grief, while the mutilated Anakin is transformed into the villain Darth Vader.

Since we know for a fact that Tze sees this subreddit, let’s use this post to say nice things to him and the dev team.

I don’t think we value this man and his team enough, they’re making an awesome game basically for free and they update it regularly (despite of the memes)
