“It was nice having you.”

I told my husband “it was nice having you” after he was home for three days like he is a guest.

If anyone was wondering what being a pilot wife is like, that is it😂

Don’t remember the last time I have seen him three days in a row, so it was nice!

Timing Children in Aviation Relationship

Curious what people will say is the best time to have children over the course of a career in aviation?
My husbands timeline was
- Military aviation
- Regional Airlines
- Major Airlines
We waited almost 5 years after marriage, until he was at a major airline, to start having children. Our thought process was that we wanted him to be home more and have more stability (not moving every year😅) beforehand. I wanted to start during the time he was at the regionals but I think I’m glad we waited. What were your timelines? Did you feel having children at a regional vs at a major was much more difficult?

In Laws and Babies

My FIL told my husband that hopes our marriage will fail and went on a rampage of personal attacks against me that were completely random and untrue.

The truth is, my FIL has never tried to get to know me at all. There was alot of family drama with the sisters boyfriend, so I think FIL grouped us together as his kids significant others that he hates. Lucky me.

For context, the sister in laws boyfriend, now husband, has three baby mamas and almost nothing to do with two of his children/ left them for my sister in law. He also got two women pregnant (sister in law and another) at the same time and lied about it until a month after the babies were born, so I understand the upset there, but don’t understand how that could be redirected towards me at all.

So, I haven’t really bothered talking to him at all or making any effort anymore because he decided to randomly attack me, but, now I am about to have a baby and am trying to figure out how to navigate this with them.

I don’t want to rob my children of having good family relationships, despite how he has chosen to treat me and truthfully I feel I have the right to keep them away. But that would only “benefit” me and not necessarily the children.

I know baby/toddlerhood probably doesn’t matter as much but once our child is older should I plan annual visits? Biannual visits? Invite them to events for the children? Should we stay with them or get a hotel? Should we allow them to stay with us?

I am really unsure how to do this because if it were my choice, since he wants our marriage to fail and he is toxic, I would have nothing to do with him or the sister in laws crazy husband. My husband has been dealing with his bipolar, narcissistic father for his whole life, so he doesn’t see his fathers behavior as big of a deal.

Wedding Band

My engagement ring is an elongated cushion on a solitaire band and my wedding band is a solitaire band as well. I’m looking for an alternative to wearing my engagement ring because it is always catching on things, but am undecided if I want a band to wear alone, or one I can intermix and wear instead of my wedding band or with my wedding band.

I included some options;

  1. the first two would probably be worn on their own
  2. then the third and fourth are an example of what it might look like if I did a stack and then had the option to wear just the new band and my wedding band together
  3. the last option is a sapphire band that would also be able to be stacked with both my wedding band and engagement ring together, but I’m not sure if that would look bad?

Also would it look bad to wear circle diamond band with a cushion engagement ring?

Let me know your opinions, TIA!

Which color/pattern Artipoppe?

I get buyers paralysis where I physically cannot decide which thing to get and then I get ruminate for weeks and months at a time. I want an artipoppe carrier, the one that initially drew me to artipoppe is the blue swan carrier. I also love the light denim, and the feather print oat. I feel the den is probably the safest bet, my husband will wear it too, and it’s neutral enough. I love the blue swan but maybe it’s just too busy for my style and I already know my husband would hate it. And then the oat seems kind of dressy and will get dirty easily? The denim seems very casual though which I guess can be a plus but also a con. What colors do yall have/love/ recommend? I keep my style pretty simple, mostly solid colors and simple cuts. TIA!

Anniversary Band Options

Wanting an anniversary band from my husband because I feel it would be easier at times with little ones, running errands, going to the park etc. My engagement ring is solitaire and my wedding ring, but I would probably wear this one alone. (Anyone with an anniversary band like this do you wear it in a big stack?) Wondering if doing sapphires is a weird call? His birthstone is sapphire and I feel they are pretty neutral because they look black oftentimes. TIA!

Small influencer getting popular for baby trapping?

https://www.today.com/parents/family/baby-placed-for-adoption-is-birth-mothers-flower-girl-rcna169779?utm\_source=ig&utm\_medium=social&utm\_content=link\_in\_bio&fbclid=PAdGRleASAhlVleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZA8xMjQwMjQ1NzQyODc0MTQAAae7VgbZ058Zfsc8P-vM3hnSuYOW8K4MHLLtz0r6S4bDwawo43FJUoMq3e0KXQ\_aem\_qOPpqCnB61N-EduRNf\_Itw

This video came on my feed and what I’ve found is very disturbing. Smaller creator who gave her child up for adoption because she couldn’t afford another child. You look back on her Instagram and she’s sitting on sports cars and sporting numerous designer bags and has blonde hair. If you read the story it really seems like she was trying to baby trap a rich guy, didn’t work out with the professional athlete, and now baby trapped a new rich guy and now has gotten married. I don’t think stories like this should be glamorized… People should take responsibility for their children.

Clueless in career search? (Business)

Seeking advice on careers I can look into.

I changed my major and have been lost ever since so any advice is appreciated. No idea what to do career wise. I am honestly open to many things but I do need to work remotely.

Education / Experience:
I have a bachelors in business administration, about to have a masters in management, and some entry level experience in healthcare.

Goals:
My goals are to be remote, make $70k+ salary, keeping in mind my forte is not in math or science and is more in communication and strategy. So far I’ve looked into different analyst roles and a “client success manager”, which have had decent salaries (70+) and not required years of experience. I like healthcare and would be interested in working for a telehealth company on the administration side or something of that nature. I am interested in being on a leadership team as support (at first of course) but all I can find are positions that require 3-10 years of experience.

Starting a family

Seeking words of encouragement from other Christian women regarding waiting to start a family.

My husband and I have been married for almost two years and are not planning to try for a baby for another year and a half. Due to our circumstances we are almost constantly fatigued, and sometimes only see eachother 5-10 days a month. This is a temporary situation as we are both working to grow in our careers and that’s why why have planned when we will try to have children when we will have more time, energy, and flexibility for them. Pregnancy would be very difficult to deal with right now and a child would have very little stability.

He feels led to wait until our jobs are more stabilized so that we can give our best selves to our children. I agree with his plan, but at the same time I feel so strongly in my heart that we shouldn’t wait and have even started experiencing bouts of extreme sadness around having to wait for children.

I know there are many opinions on this but many have the belief that you should leave your fertility up to God, which makes me second guess our plans. I have never been patient and I feel like this is a God giving me the opportunity to practice patience and submission to my husband and Him. I also worry if we don’t get pregnant quickly after my husband has made me wait over three years before even trying that I will resent him and that it would be very hard on me and our marriage.

I guess what I’m looking for is opinions on family planning vs leaving to to God, advice on how to find peace in the waiting and trusting my husbands plan.
