Do people still write reminders on their hands or have phones officially replaced that?

Random memory but up the early 2010’s I can remember often having little reminders or notes written on my hand and it seemed like a fairly common thing to do, but I can’t remember doing it since then. It happens to be around the time with when I started using/carrying around a smart phone and would set alarms and reminders, phasing out of hand-written notifications. It almost seems like a nostalgic thing to do now.

Do you still jot notes on your hand or does everything go in your phone now?

I tip the same amount for every Uber eats meal order and I’m not sorry.

Percentage-based ripping is ridiculous and I hate that it’s the norm. It’s for exceptional service. Every time I order a meal on Uber Eats or DoorDash, whatever delivery service, I always tip the same amount, and only when it’s delivered on time. (This is for single meals, not groceries.) no matter what I spend, there is the only one bag to grab. No matter if it is from a steakhouse in the city and a $200 plus order or a single taco from the local hole in the wall, that is five dollars. I of course will consider if there is a longer wait than expected for the Driver while food is prepared or delivery distance, etc.. but for the majority of orders, if it’s a routine pick up within a few miles, and only the one bag, I don’t see a need to tip on total check, especially when there is no actual restaurant service.

Trader Joe’s pink coconut water is the best and I love it

I love one single serve pink coconut water at Trader Joe’s and I don’t care who knows it!! It’s just the best, I wish their large servings compared. It’s a trend on TikTok right now to mix coconut water with carrot juice or matcha… it honestly tastes good enough I’m kind of craving it!

Adam painting Marissa this way is VERY telling.

This says everything we need to know about him from the start. There’s no reason to represent someone this way (especially not a woman who you’re trying to grow a legitimate connection with) unless your ego is feeling at risk and you are trying to humble her while playing it off as “silly” (🙄🙄 he just thinks he’s the silliest goofiest guy). He plays on the unique shape of her mouth, literally makes her look like an angry monster and then WRITES COOKED ACROSS THE TOP AS IF ITS NOT CLEAR HES NOT TRYING TO SAY SHE LOOKS GOOD.

WHAT. It’s giving he was insecure seeing her nice, decorated, grown up apartment for the first time after showing her his tarp roof tent by the lake so this is how he lashed out. Also a good time to bring up that a woman on TikTok came out and said she casually dated him a few times before the show and he has a roommate who lives in the lake shack with him, the roommate owns the boat. Assuming this is the “homeless guy” he tried telling Marissa he lets sleep on his couch… he’s just so performative and inconsiderate. She also said he used beach towels as bath towels and his sheets made her hair greasy (allegedly)

He needs to look into being an eternal frat bro or something and he can ride his jet ski over to the dorms because it doesn’t seem he has interest in any different lifestyle. Maybe a camp counselor or gym teacher idk but not husband.

Sue manifested Sean as her future bf years early

She was probably seven-eight(ish) years early but Sue was right in s2e3 when Sean is on the couch playing video games with Axl and Brad shows up at the door.

“My ex BF and my future BF in the same room?! This is NOT good!!” 😂 I love her drama and over-optimism but she was really right on the one (there would just be a few other future bfs, an engagement, the rest of both school and college in between lol)

If Oura advisor suggests Greek yogurt one more time I’m going to lose it

I eat Greek yogurt often, I balance my macros to a point and don’t eat much that’s overly processed, almost nothing fried. But EVERY time I eat anything that isn’t a raw food (fairly clean protein bars, even the oikos smoothies) oura rates the nurturing and suggests Greek yogurt with sliced fruits and nuts. Every time!!! Does it have any other ideas? Seriously, I’m a month in and it’s never suggested anything else to me

Baby Brick x little Sue are the cutest duo

Brick and Sue are just so sweet together, especially in earlier seasons when Axl is going through the teenage drama of dating and being cool. Brick and Sue got to be kids together for awhile and I love their storylines! My favorite is them creating / fixing the hole in the wall 😂

I thought Carly was played by Sydney Sweeney for the longest time

They look similar, no?! It took me until maybe the second or third time watching through that I was looking up cast members and realized that Carly was played by Blaine Saunders, not Sydney Sweeney.
I’ve never seen them compared in “celebrities/actors who look alike” … has anyone else thought this?!

Nikki really thought Shawn was the pastor, not her husband 😭💀

The more I watch their initial interaction, the more I’m convinced Nikki did not believe Shawn was the man she was about to marry. She says hi to the families and then literally asks “What am I supposed to do? Stand here and wait for my groom?” 😭 HER FACE when she realizes that he’s her husband and not the pastor!
Either her brain couldn’t even register that this was the man “professional matchmakers” paired her with (I don’t blame her) or she was in denial hoping someone else was about to walk down the isle.

Every time they had therapy with Dr Paul, I couldn’t help but feeling like that’s the kind of man she was hoping to be matched with and not this sassy pervert.

Mike: “She’s like 5ft tall I could kick her a**” 😂😭

I crack up every time during s1e7 when the police are investigating Brick’s claim Frankie “hit” him with a beer bottle. The cops ask if Frankie ever gets physical with him and he says “are you kidding? she’s like five feet tall I could kick her ass” 😂😂😂 hilarious!

What’s your favorite Mike moment?

Felipe has NO business on MAFS, matchmakers owe Tori an apology

I’m caught up on Married at First Sight S20 and the fact that Felipe was even selected for the show makes me not trust the matchmakers whatsoever, they really screwed over Tori by matching her with him.

Our introduction of him is literally the therapists calling him out for missing MULTIPLE sessions with them before the show even began because he got too drunk and was too hungover. AND he’s open about how much he just loves having sex with random women and doesn’t know if he could ever not cheat on someone??? He brings this up to everyone, even his father. WHY was he ever selected as part of the cast? Just totally asinine. Tori (or anyone matched with someone who doesn’t even know if they can be faithful ever) deserves better!

Mike shouldn’t have sold his diaper business for Sue…

Mike selling the diaper business to pay for Sue’s tuition always makes me feel disappointed when I’m rewatching the show...

The family doesn’t get a lot of big wins and Mike in particular seems to have accepted he’ll spend his life working multiple crappy jobs just to stay poor. He finally hits a REAL win, something that has the potential to change his families lives in a major way. Even if it didn’t blow up into a multi-million dollar business, he was excited about it and it was still enough financially help to take some stress away from the family.

Sue didn’t get her financial aid because she missed the deadline. unfortunate, but not the end of the world. she could have applied for the next semester and spent that semester working at Spudsy’s saving her own money.

Mike tells Frankie he sold the business for her because “it’s Sue” and that was a sweet moment but I still wish he didn’t. Sue would have been fine and the family would have been better off overall.

the business could have even taken off enough to cover Brick’s college in the fire but again, it seems they forget about him.

Married at first Sight seems to make more sense with older couples

I’m only on episode 2 of season 19 but Patric (59) and Rhonda (63) are nit only such a sweet couple but it just seems like a show like this makes more sense for older couples. When I watch these shows, this or love is blind etc. and contestants are in their twenties I can’t help but to feel they just haven’t put enough time into the real world. I say this as someone in their early 30s but when I see people in even their late 20s (ESPECIALLY when they admit to having cheated in the last, not taken relationships seriously or were more focused on a good them) I just feel like they’re looking for a dating match more than marriage idk

Rhonda and Pat just had such genuine intentions from the start and you could tell from the moment they saw each other that they were both genuinely happy to be at the alter and have their true forever person. It just seems to be more legit when they’ve lived enough life to actually try and really say they gave it a shot organically before taking such a leap.

Oura ring is validating my bad habits

I bought an Oura ring hoping it would shame me into healthier habits but it seems to be encouraging them?

For background, I’m active, almost always exceed my activity goals, eat clean and prioritize getting enough sleep. I love my Oura ring for tracking these things but was hoping it would give me more targeted insights on improving my biomarkers (I’ve also integrated blood panels into my Oura so we’re really monitoring the details.)

My bad habits are enjoying a few glasses of white wine to wind down and I also consume cannabis. The assumption was that the trends would show that on evenings I drink, my sleep quality would decline, readiness score would be lower and id be more aware of how this bad habit was actually taking a toll on my body. THIS WASNT THE CASE! whenever I drink, it tells me how relaxed my body is and gives a prompt to consider what caused the relaxation and how to integrate that.more often 🫠 my sleep is always fantastic afterwards and deep sleep isn’t affected. (I tag the drinking so not sure why oura isn’t putting two and two together unless it’s programmed specifically to not encourage alcohol for sleep or relaxation)

I haven’t seen it give many insights yet to THC use but it’s definitely not discouraging alcohol the way I hoped it would 😭curious if this would be different with liquor vs wine?

anyone else having their bad havits encouraged?I still love my ring (gen 5) for all of the other functions.

** I still understand the damage that alcohol is doing to my body over time internally and that doesn’t change despite these readings, but I do think this seems fairly enabling?

What’s the point of the Skims store?

I’ll be the first to admit that however you feel about the Kardashians, Skims really does have great products - especially the pajamas and sweats.

I typically order online but needed to pick up a pajama set for a friend ASAP so I visited the LA flagship location on Sunset Blvd. staff was incredible and friendly but the store literally had almost nothing in stock??? majority bras and panties (I get it, that’s the brand‘s bread and butter) but outside of the basics, they only had a handful of items in store and almost none of the sets that are available online.

just seems like this defeats the purpose of a physical location? Very slim pickings.

Oura ring 5: Best tips to optimize?

Curious if anyone who’s had oura ring for awhile has tips on how to make the most of the ring and its features? I’ve had the oura ring 5 in gold ($499USD) for only two days now but I’ve been really enjoying the following:

- Quick actions to start live activity

- Ordered a comprehensive blood panel through Oura for $99, checks over 50 biometrics

- Sleep tracking and score obviously

- unguided sessions to track my meditations

- using tags to track bedtime habits (tea, using THC, last time eating, time I take melatonin etc). Looking forward to seeing the trends

- tracking heart rate effect of meditation

I haven’t started tracking weight or weight loss goals yet, I primarily got this for sleep but is it worth it to be logging? ex. Do you find it really analyses trends enough to help see what is and isnt working for your own body comprehension? What other ways do you use it most or shortcuts are most helpful?

How many times have you rewatched Bobs Burgers?

Curious what the an average time spent rewatching a comfort show is, particularly Bob‘s Burgers. Obviously Bob’s has more seasons than most shows which affects the amount of time it takes to watch from season one - most recent.

Im currently on my fourth time rewatching and am on season 9. what other shows do you find yourself rewatching?

some for me:

the middle

Sue realizing Woofie Dog used to be Axl’s is so wholesome 🥹

Sue and Axl go through a lot of complex sibling situations throughout the show but you can tell the writers were intentional about making sure the audience knows that they do truly care about and love each other

My favorite of these moments is when Sue offers to destroy her beloved Woofie Dog after accidentally biting Axl’s football jersey on the grill. Axl reveals that the dog was originally his and he had given it to his baby sister to help her feel safe… Sue had no idea until he told Jed in that moment and Ira so sweet!!

Bob is so MEAN in the first episode!

every time I rewatch the series, i can’t stand seeing the Bob we’d grown to love just ba a jerk! The first scene is Bob not caring that he forgot his wedding anniversary and then a flashback to him forgetting to show up to the hospital for the birth of their child - Linda comes home angry with the baby and he nonchalantly says “girl or boy?” then Bob tells Linda to get back to work helping grind burger meat

Bob’a character growth reminds me of an interview quote from the middles Neil Flynn when he said his character, Mike had to be less angry because an angry dad isn’t funny. He explained that he could be annoyed or irritated, but not angry.

I’m so happy the show evolved into the wholesome, pleasantly odd family that is the Belchers. What other ways do you notice the show change the most from the first season?
